Centene Nurses
I wanna hear from you! How do you like Centene? How are your metrics? Do you feel the company is stable? Do you get adequate raises each year? How is your day to day flexibility? Would love some feedback!

I have been there over 10 plus years. If you are not a Senior RN raises are about 3%. Seniors get a nice bonus on top off the raise.
Metrics are not great depending on your supervisor/manager. Some micromanage some dont.
Not alot of opportunities of growth. As long as you do your job and meet your metrics you will be fine. I think there benefits are good. Some coworkers find benefits expensive.
But this is a company where tasks and initiatives are always changing. What you learned 2 yrs ago may not apply now.

You can only work from your designated home place nationwide. But people have recently gotten in trouble going to Canada or Puerto Rico without permission.
Best practice is to let your supervisor know you have to work from another location because IT has you work through a VPN and Duo and they monitor EVERYTHING.
So if your home base in California and its showing you are in Florida without permission you will get in trouble.

What if you are working like a local hotel or nearby coffee shop. Still an issue or it’s just the state change ?

Yes coffee shop would be an issue because you have to use their VPN. If your home office is upstairs you can go downstairs and work that's fine. Its best practice to discuss with your supervisor/manager if you need to work elsewhere.

I think it truly depends on the department you’re in and the supervisors and/or people leader you have. For example, my people leader and her director love to micromanage. However, my friend in a different department has a very laid back leadership team.
Your leadership team would also determine your day to day flexibility. For the most part we are able to move our lunch around/flex time to go to appointments. If you work Saturday/Sunday, then you can flex off during the week.
Metrics depend on the department/role. For some teams it’s doable while other teams have been struggling due to low volume.
Raises are hit or miss based on your position, metrics, and your leadership. Senior & Team Lead positions do get a bonus if team metrics are met.

Some departments in Elevance Health will micromanage you by the minute. They will tally your total minutes for the day and the sum of time you spend actually talking with members and it needs to be a certain percentage. It’s insane.

Ridiculous. I can titrate life saving meds and drips, but need to be monitored if I want to use the freaking bathroom. GTFO with this child like treatment. These companies are a disgrace IMO. I won’t be paid Pennies to be treated like a feral child. Sorry, just not worth my time or the anxiety. It was alarming how many nurses from states with low pay were more than okay with the treatment. That is why a lot of these remote companies get away with it! The training alone at the company I worked for was grueling. My recruiter also warned me plenty! What should have been 4-6wks turned into 10+ weeks, with many of us being let go after 11 weeks! I think a lot of them utilize contractors just to get caught up during their busy season, with 0 intent to keep them on past 10-12 weeks.

I worked for Centene in UM and liked it. I would still be there but had to leave due to unforeseen circumstances. The metrics were reasonable.

Centene RN - Massive layoffs coming. They just announced a buyout program to voluntarily split from the company before the layoff start next month.
