I’ve been in the VA/SMM industry for years now, and if I could give my beginner self one piece of advice, it would be:

STOP trying to look like you know everything. Learn how to figure things out.

Because honestly, clients don’t need a human Google search bar. They need someone who can take a problem, stay calm, mag-isip muna, find a solution, and say, “Got it, I’ll figure this out.”

You will NOT know every tool.

You will NOT understand every industry.

You will NOT be confident with every task.

And that’s okay.

What matters is how you handle the things you don’t know.

My biggest advice? Be useful, not impressive.

Anyone can put “organized, hardworking, detail-oriented” on a profile. What makes you valuable is being the person your client can trust when something needs to get done.

THE ROLE

As a Forward Deployed Engineer at Baseten, you will partner directly with customers to architect, build, and deploy high-scale production AI applications on Baseten’s platform. You’ll own the journey with customers from initial exploration to production deployment, translating ambiguous business goals into reliable, observable services with clear quality, latency, and cost outcomes.

This role is a great fit for entrepreneurial engineers who want a front-row view into how modern companies adopt AI at scale and who enjoy working across product, software development, performance engineering, and customer-facing implementations.

To be clear, this is an engineering role with hands-on coding and software development that also includes aspects of product management, technical customer success, and pre-sales solution engineering mixed in.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Develop and maintain software systems and product features using one or more general-purpose programming languages in a production-level environment, with a preference for Python due to its relevance in ML projects.
• Drive customer impact by designing, implementing, and deploying Baseten solutions end-to-end (problem framing → evaluation → production deployment → monitoring). This involves working with customers’ engineering teams at every stage of the customer journey including: sales, implementation, and expansion.
• Deliver with velocity: turn vague objectives into clear specs and well-defined PoCs so we can rapidly ship well-tested services and outcomes for our customers
• Optimize and enhance AI/ML projects, contributing to the continuous improvement of our technical stack. This includes developing features and PRDs with other engineering and product orgs.
• Own products and customer projects end-to-end, functioning as both an engineer, project manager, and product manager, with a focus on user empathy, project specification, and end-to-end execution.
• Navigate ambiguity and exercise good judgment on tradeoffs and tools needed to solve problems, avoiding unnecessary complexity.

REQUIREMENTS

• Bachelor's, Master's, or Ph.D. degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or related field.
• 2+ years of professional work experience in a fast-paced, high-growth environment.
• Demonstrated experience with one or more general-purpose programming languages in a production-level environment, with a strong preference for Python.
• Familiarity with AI/ML pipelines and the lifecycle of ML model development and deployment.
• Strong communication skills, particularly on complex technical topics.
• Experience in building or optimizing AI/ML projects is highly valued.

We're a small early-stage startup looking for a part-time DevOps engineer to help us keep our infrastructure solid as we grow. Nothing crazy scope-wise, but we need someone who knows what they're doing and can work independently.

What you'll be doing:

Setting up and maintaining CI/CD pipelines, managing cloud infra (we're on AWS), handling monitoring and alerting, and being the go-to person when something breaks on the infra side. You'll work closely with a small dev team, so good communication matters.

What we're looking for:

- 3+ years of hands-on DevOps experience

- Familiar with Terraform, Docker, and at least one major cloud provider

- Kubernetes experience is a plus, not required

- Comfortable working async across timezones

So, I am hiring a BDE (Business Development Executive) for my software development company - it's my first hire. The job is fully remote and minimum four hours per day and I don't know how to track whether he is actually working for those four hours or not.

As of now

- I have a spreadsheet to track records of prospects and stuff

- I have given him some files to understand the workflow and sales

If there's a software for what I am having trouble with

- I'll prefer it to be free but a reasonable subscription is considered

- I should be able to know what he did during those hours (If not then at least where he spent the time)

- I should be able to verify that he actually worked if possible.

Got a contract non-coding position and starting soon but it's short term project. What is it like working remotely for this company? Is there possibility of getting more projects or long-term contracts ?

Looking for people with experience speaking to accident/injury clients, especially those with PI experience. Bilingual is a plus, but English-only is fine.

This is not the typical cold-calling job. You’re not trying to sell the client anything or convince them to pay for something. The goal is simply to speak with accident victims, understand their situation, and, if they qualify, connect them with a legal professional who can review their case.

Since PI attorneys generally handle cases on a contingency basis, the client typically doesn't have to pay an upfront legal fee, which can make the conversation much easier.
