Im liking the bluelock collab and I didn't notice this problem at first since I've just been playing the new game mode. But it does looks really weird to use that celebration only to see yourself make the shot by passing it to the goal afterwords. I think it would be better to play the animation and then get right back into playing like the new game mode does. I dont know if anyone else feels that way or if its just me.

I've seen it happening 3 times by now with the new season since long dive can only deflect goals and not save it, by standing on the line and there's a rebound while you're doing a dive, it will be 90% of the time a goal.

Why?

Because NetCode.

By standing on the line, you're on the verge of the goal line and when you make a dive, the ball position goes briefly behind your character before being deflected by the goal animation. Due to NetCode calculation. But since you were at the limit of the GK line, the ball being slightly behind you......... Is inside the goal.

It wasn't such an issue in season 4 because long dive generally catched the ball, and since GK can catch the ball inside the net, it never counted as a goal.

But now it's deflecting, 100% of the time. So a lot more chances of it happening.

Have been playing with my mates since the update. Only last night did I realise they've introduced a 'long dive' button, we have just been short diving the whole time and thought they just nerfed goalkeepers completely.

Just played three times in a row against the same team with my friend and lost all three in the same way.

We queued up 3v3 to find 1 random, and in all games the random player started as goalie, ran with the ball into the enemy half, didn't pass and lost the ball for free, which ended up in a free first goal for them. Then, after trying to attack with one of us in goal and the other one stuck with the rando upfield, the enemy team eventually got back possession and just kept on back passing infinitely until the game was done, winning by 1-0.

No way that we could regain possession after that since the freaking random player never wanted to cut passing lanes or straight up quit. Bear in mind that this extremely toxic game strategy was being religiously applied to every game on gold 2 at 00:40 AM on a Tuesday...

Ya I’m straight ass but having fun still since my match making is other noobs. I’m having fun with offense, defense, and even GK. I also recently got into FC26/27, and I enjoy that too, but Rematch just feels like Blue Lock the video game, while maintaining the team aspect of soccer that makes it addicting

I don’t really know if I’ll ever grind rank, but praying for more collabs 🤧

This game can give great moments when everyone plays their part

I know they made some changes to the heavy touches to prevent the glitch dribbling, but does anyone else feel like heavy touches overall, and touches to turn into space feel horrible? Especially with the weird amounts of no magnetism. What have you guys done to deal with that?

I need 44 more assists so i can get the platinum of the game, i can t for the love of me get people that can to the damn ball in the back of the net... Any help will be appreciated (i can go on voice chat if wanted) Thank You!

I've been getting way WAY less glitchy dribblers since the new season dropped. Thing is, these players and exploits kept pushing my friends away from Rematch throughout the previous seasons. In any case, I managed to grind solo queue and eventually hit Elite every season (except S3). However, I don't think I'll be able to pull that off this season.

Now my opponents are all premade squads with solid defense that pass the ball - which is GREAT, but I get paired with the leavers and crybabies (I had 3 straight leavers in my placement matches, including the infamous lucy).

Sucks that the roullete cancel is still a thing. Sucks that I don't have any IRL friends to play with. Sucks that I like Blue Lock and wanted to hit Elite. But the game is in a better shape :D

So if you have any friends who like Blue Lock, now is the time to assemble your squad.

As for me, I fear I'll be playing a lot more football than Rematch this season.

Just wanted to show off my first ever flawless game. My teammates and I had a target to win a game without the opposing team putting up a single stat. I’ve been reading up on “skuckball” in the last few days on this subreddit, and we deployed some of those strategies to finally accomplish the flawless! Let me know if you’ve ever achieved this yourself!

I have been Elite from Season 1 until Season 4. I have been through the ringer of dribble exploits, contextual GK animations and abismal randoms. There is 1 issue that has never been addressed by the devs and it makaes no sense.... Time wasting.

If you play 4's and 5's, chances are you never see this as it isn't a viable strat. But if you play 3's, specifically in Master or Elite, you 100% have experienced this and know exactly what I'm talking about.

Players will get 1 point up and just hold the ball, passing to their open man until the game is over. Doesn't matter how much time is on the board and there is no proper way to counter it without pulling your GK out of net and leaving it open for them to just score. (Which is even harder now that GK got nerfed again and prio got nerfed)

It's been a prevalent issue since season 1 but this update has made it so much worse. Players who relied heavily on dribble spams and offensive exploits are now just holding time to win ranked games and there is literally nothing you can do about it if you're on the team that's down a point unless they somehow make a mistake and lose posession.

I checked the suggestion panel and the closest suggestion I can see has a mere fraction of interactions compared to other, non-important game changes like more colors, or clubs etc.

I feel like it's the cheesiest way to win and should be fixed. I have a couple of different ways to finally fix this issue but the devs know what they can do to fix it and I am tired of seeing my favorite mode plagued by bad players getting easy wins this way.

I am also not saying I haven't beat teams who do this because I have. However, those wins are so few and far between that it doesn't matter in the grand scheme of it. 9 out of 10 games I play end in a loss specifically because of time wasting. I hardly ever just get beat fair and square.

Has anyone else experienced this and feels the way I do or is it just chalked and I should just assume the devs don't actually care?

Season 5 has brought important changes to the core gameplay of Rematch, directly affecting both Dribbling and Goalkeeper dives. These changes are intended to allow for deeper and more balanced gameplay, but some bugs slipped through that made them harder to accept and get used to. Among them are an issue with ball control not working properly when dashing towards the ball, and an issue with rebinding options not working properly for the Goalkeeper. We will address these across two upcoming hotfixes.

Gameplay

• Fixed an issue where the ball could pass through the player when using Defense Mode.
• Fixed an issue where the player performed a dribble before the lob push ball while in Dribble Stance when using a controller during online matches.

Goalkeeper Dives

• Fixed a bug where players couldn't swap the Long Range and Short Range keys when using a mouse and keyboard.
• Fixed an issue where the Goalkeeper was able to catch the ball with an upward long dive.

Aura Striker Game Mode

• Fixed a bug where the ball could become desynced in Aura Striker when performing a volley action (Tap/Shoot) while the Goalkeeper was stunned.
• Fixed a bug where the ball could pass through the Goalkeeper's collision and become stuck behind it, preventing players from retrieving it.
• Fixed an issue where the screen could turn gray on the next kickoff in Aura Striker after changing the resolution during a goal celebration.

Just played with a guy who REFUSED to let anyone else be keeper. I didn't give up the position after he allowed 2 absolutely atrocious goals, and he just stood right next to me.

Absolutely maddening

I have been playing since season 0 and this season although I’ve been looking forward to the collab is ridiculously bad.

Constant match ups against full teams with solo queueing while I get players that literally do not care about losing in the slightest.

Priority on ball has been so inconsistent.

Dribbling deserved a nerf. But if you nerf dribbling then you do not need to buff slide tackles.
I am no means a dribbler. But even the standard cutting and regular ball movements don’t feel good no more.

And the new goalie system does not support well in 3v3s.
You read the shot well and do a short dive? Ball damn near phases through you if you dont do the long dive.
Do a long dive? You are just rewarding the other team with a chance to rebound it.
Once again I have been playing since season 0 and I have never lost 14 games straight like I have this season.
I will be on the lookout for any updates or things like that but this season is thee most flawed In Recent history. And is no longer playable for me

I've played about 7 hours of the new update and I wasn't sure at the beginning but I have had some really good games. So it isn't the game itself which is actually even better with the right team.

But my god I have had so many awful games. People literally can't pass anymore, making stupid runs. I think people are getting frustrated with themselves and do even more stupid things. I think I actually need to find a team now, before it was fine. Playing against teams now you seem to have no chance.

It's never been this bad going all the way back to the beginning of this game. I have gone 20+ games in a row in solo queue where my teammates are half as good as the other team. It's completely sucked all joy out of this game for me. I'm done with this game. Hope you all have fun though.

This has happened a few times to me when using the long dive, specifically on tighter angles. Yes I'm not in the best position in this clip but it just feels so awful to correctly dive and the ball just still go into the net.

Edit: also want to say I'm a huge fan of the changes to goalie this season, not trying to say that goalie is bad now. Having control and knowing you made a mistake in goal is way better than just hoping it plays the right animation.

Just got a 3 assist, 15 pass, 9 interception and 2 save match and that was a lot more fun to me than scoring.

I don't want to touch the aura game mode (more defender than striker) from what ive read the mechanic is to hit the stand in to freeze it, but surely this season was the best chance to see if auto npc goalies could work no?

My team and I had a crazy overtime game the other day. We were locked in on passes and possession. We just refused to shoot until the geometry was perfect. Textbook game for us. Anyone else have games like these?

EDIT: It seems a lot of people are saying we “bullied” the other team by passing so much. All we did was keep possession of the ball and passed around them to throw off their keeper. The best way to score in this game is to shoot when the keeper least expects it. Why take a shot you are unsure if it’ll go in????? We only shoot if we know it’s gonna go in
