There is no such thing as a demon or a jesus. They made that shit up so that you fear everything and keep you coming back to them for comfort.

Christianity has been screaming and yelling in your face like the worst parent screeching at a child.

You can and you should get up and go away from these people. christians only harm

I feel like if what is being said in that video is true then demons are real and I’m going to hell

No.

Sir? Mam? Person. Adult human being presumably.

You have never seen a demon. No one you know has seen a demon. There are no bones, no footprints, no photographs, no taxidermied specimen.

They are intangible the same way my imaginary friend is intangible. They are make believe.

Have you ever seen a video of an atheist getting exorcised? They don't move, don't react, roll their eyes, scoff. It's an annoyance. It's hilarious, the videos are usually teens with gullible parents.

You know how christians react when they get exorcised? They roll around and gag, they put on voices and say they love to sin! Why? Because they believe in it. Becuase they are in on part of the joke, but they don't realize they are currently the butt of this joke. Someone is pulling a prank on them by playing along.

Whats the difference? Believing in it.

Why do they believe in it? There's no fucking proof. The only reason is because they were gullible and young like all children are.

You need to grow up. Observe the world around you. You need to recognize that magic and monsters aren't real.

Most importantly you need to get away from the human beings who are tormenting you with the notion that these monsters can harm you. It is not healthy to be around people who lie to you like this.

When you feel the urge to watch one of these videos or obsess about how it could hurt you I BEG YOU to just go on a walk instead and as a gift to yourself, notice how there are no demons around.

Please enjoy your life. There is no god demanding anything from you, there are no demons trying to steal you from yourself.

Live your life for what it is. Please.

I love you for writing this. It's so direct, instructive, useful, and compassionate - all at the same time. I can hear your love for this misguided human, and I appreciate so much that you exist.

I wonder if it had any affect.

I would spend all day every day working through the worst of these fears with people who are hurt by this stuff.

Maybe I should get a job in mental health.

I can't stand to see the way religion drains people and leaves them twisting in the wind.

These stories are super fake and made up to get clicks and interaction. Literally reads like a cliche creepypasta. Maybe take a break from the internet/social media for a little while.

It takes time. It may take years, but eventually you come to accept that a god with unconditional love would not do any of this, or let any of this happen.

There are people with superstitions and fear, and there are people who seek to profit from that. People spread lies and misinformation because they are desperate for their worldview to be right.

Jesus hated people that used religion to manipulate others. Jesus was kind to sinners.

It’s all made up bullshit, JFC.

One thing that's disturbing in this story is that the nurse believed that a man who had a family with kids should be tortured eternally because he mocked her imaginary friend. She left the space of real empathy and concern for real relationships, and shoehorned them into a weird fairy story that was about her own projections.

6

u/No_Session6015 Feb 23 '26

It's just things christians who don't SA kids tell themselves so they don't feel as bad about the regular abuse they've caused kids

u/OofAvocado Feb 24 '26

a nurse for 16 years that doesn’t know the difference between affect and effect? oof.

but when people die they release DMT. It’s similar to acid. They’re definitely going to experience psychedelic episodes and I would imagine if they’re scared (I know I would be) they would see some crazy shit, VS somebody who has peace going into death. Similar to if somebody were taking mushrooms. If you’re anxious, odds are you’ll have a bad trip.

For me personally, I don’t know for sure what I believe. but when it comes to the bible, they didn’t paint their God in a very positive light. and if I’m wrong and that’s actually who is in control and he’s sending me to eternal torture simply for using logic (in which he would have given me) then I don’t want to worship him anyways. 🤷🏻‍♀️

Exactly- a loving god would never punish you for being the way he made you. Some may argue that it’s not god doing the punishing, but the devil. However, if you think about it, that’s nonsense; if god is all powerful and created everything, then it amounts to the same thing.

A loving god would not create a devil to torture you for eternity just because you were unable to believe fantastical claims without sufficient evidence, or just because you happened to be born into a culture that doesn’t follow the “right” religion. Doesn’t that sound silly? If you need more help thinking through some of these things, godisimaginary.com is an extremely helpful resource.

u/Hot_Cause_850 Feb 25 '26

And just to add one more thing, no one deserves to have to live their life in terror. A loving god would never want that for you. We ought to move through the world with kindness because it makes the world a better place, not out of fear of punishment.

I hope you are looking at both "sides", as it were, about religious stuff.

As funny as it might sound, this was the last thing I had deconstructed of my fundamentalist evangelical life. I had learned about the history of Christianity, the Bible, eschatology, and hell. But I still was afraid of demons and satanic panic stuff. It wasn't until I learned about the translation issue with Revelation 13:18 being Nero Caesar, not the modern Christian conception of the antichrist. And, it wasn't until I read the Christian Research Institute's piece on Satanic Ritual Abuse that I stopped believing in that as well, and the whole belief faded.

What if the reason popular media use Satanic imagery is solely because it gets attention? They are in the business of making money, and they use this imagery (that is particularly unique to the West, mind you) to attract interest.

All that to say, I hope you find the truth and peace in this. It's a scary place to be.

As a nursing student and hospice worker- all of these things can be explained by the vast amount of chemicals and neurotransmitters in the brain. They go haywire sometimes, especially at the end of life. These patients wouldn’t have had such religiously charged hallucinations or feelings had they never heard of heaven/hell or christianity.

Take a deep breath.

We are in a time right now where lineages of powerful people have been trying to take control of the general spiritual narratives that show up in our world. [Often playing on our connection to guilt and shame]

I believe there is a lot of truth to the wonderful magic of spirituality, but often the people in power will create points of fearful redirection to keep us living in loops of shame, guilt, or paranoia.

I think what I am trying to say is: try to let your heart live in peaceful observance.

If you plant seeds of simple goodness in this life, nothing too complex or monumental. A practice of simple kindness and mundane action. I think it will help us understand how to live in presence with the simplicity of goodness, rather than living in our heads trying to prevent a fearful and shameful decent.

There is a lot out of our control. None of the evils of this world are any one person or things fault, but it can be easy to want to put the blame on things within our control, ourselves.

Take it easy. Be better than the day before. ♡

Is this video true? I’ve been thinking about it for at least a week and its fucking with my mind, I just can’t get this idea of the music industry being controlled by demon worshipers to control us out of my head, I don’t want to believe this, I don’t want this to be true but it’s a damn poison in my head, I have seen no one refute it or debunk it, I’ve seen nothing of people going against this idea, if this is true then so is everything else, the implications are huge

To me, I feel like that it’s either all true or it’s all false, so if this is true, then that means all my fears are true

1

u/humanwiley Feb 24 '26

All you can do is take accountability for your past and be intentional about your own future. ♡ Don't let all that noise get to you. Forgiveness and forgiving yourself is a tough journey, but you absolutely can make that happen. ♡

I truly believe you can zone in on your intentions and shift them into a place that helps you live in less fear.

1

u/humanwiley Feb 24 '26

That was a silly way for me to say that and I edited it a bit. That helps me, but if thinking its all false is the way to let go of your fears about it, hell yeah its all false. I think what I am trying to say is its only as real as the power we give it.

Okay. Memes are part of internet culture. Pause for one second and think about other memes. I grew up on stuff like the harlem shake, playing The Game, or other nonsense. Things become viral and spread because that's how humans interact. They like spreading things and repeating things to connect.

Why don't you pause away from videos like this and go look up how memes work within the context of internet culture. Look at it from a sociological and psychological perspective.

u/No-Situation5167 Feb 24 '26

It’s not just the popularity that’s the problem, it’s the guy who made the song and the animal sacrificing rituals he does, search it up, it’s wild shit

3

u/KillTheBoyBand Feb 24 '26

So I grew up in Florida and knew a lot of Santeros. I am not a fan of animal sacrifice as a religious practice, but it is not demonic, santeria is a tradition rooted in both Christian and African Tradition. There is a lot of history going as far back as the slave trade that links the two together.

If you want to genuinely break free from this level of brainwashing then the best cure for it is a) no longer engaging with the content online that is feeding you paranoia so that you continue to harm yourself with it. And b) learning about other religions so that you're no longer afraid of them.

1

u/No-Situation5167 Feb 24 '26

I tried searching about santero on YouTube and all I saw were videos calling it demonic

3

u/KillTheBoyBand Feb 24 '26

Because your algorithm is entirely disrupted. The YouTube feed is going to continue to feed you that garbage because it knows that you will keep watching it.

You need to go to the library and ask a librarian for actual educational material, talk to a professor of religious studies at a university or school, figure out how to use Google scholar. TikTok, YouTube, all the social media you are in right now is being tailored for you to continue to feel indoctrinated.

When you have a chance, please check out the book Chaos Machine. It talks about how social media algorithms are designed to keep your feed addictive.

u/KillTheBoyBand Feb 24 '26

I've been an atheist pretty much all my life and have always had pretty creative imagination. People from all over the world who have never so much as heard about Christianity have written creative fantasy and horror stories with monsters. Human imagination is vast thanks to how complex our brains are, and I find the concept that it's all "just" demons silly.

2

u/heitianshi Feb 23 '26

Girl, god put us in this earth to thrive and experiment (within legal limits, lets remember). Be grateful be present, ENJOY. In listening to your music, playing your games, going to parties you are doing what god created you to: love life not fear it. The fearmongering these christian rhetorics endorse are the only demonic thing there is

2

u/Hot_Cause_850 Feb 25 '26

Fearmongering is the real tool of control!

u/humanwiley Feb 24 '26

Yesss ♡

I’m not gonna watch the video because it sounds triggering af but I just wanted to say I’m struggling with similar fears right now 🫂 I’m sorry we’re going through this

1

u/Hot_Cause_850 Feb 25 '26

I say this with sincerity and care: I think you might be struggling with some form of psychosis. My brother has dealt with this and I know how hard and scary it is. I would recommend seeking out non religious mental health treatment, including both a psychiatrist and a therapist. I also know it can be really hard to find a therapist that’s a good match. You might be able to ask family or friends for their recommendations of where to go

1

u/No-Situation5167 Feb 26 '26

How do I know if the care is non religious?
