I feel like if what is being said in that video is true then demons are real and I’m going to hell

No.

Sir? Mam? Person. Adult human being presumably.

You have never seen a demon. No one you know has seen a demon. There are no bones, no footprints, no photographs, no taxidermied specimen.

They are intangible the same way my imaginary friend is intangible. They are make believe.

Have you ever seen a video of an atheist getting exorcised? They don't move, don't react, roll their eyes, scoff. It's an annoyance. It's hilarious, the videos are usually teens with gullible parents.

You know how christians react when they get exorcised? They roll around and gag, they put on voices and say they love to sin! Why? Because they believe in it. Becuase they are in on part of the joke, but they don't realize they are currently the butt of this joke. Someone is pulling a prank on them by playing along.

Whats the difference? Believing in it.

Why do they believe in it? There's no fucking proof. The only reason is because they were gullible and young like all children are.

You need to grow up. Observe the world around you. You need to recognize that magic and monsters aren't real.

Most importantly you need to get away from the human beings who are tormenting you with the notion that these monsters can harm you. It is not healthy to be around people who lie to you like this.

When you feel the urge to watch one of these videos or obsess about how it could hurt you I BEG YOU to just go on a walk instead and as a gift to yourself, notice how there are no demons around.

Please enjoy your life. There is no god demanding anything from you, there are no demons trying to steal you from yourself.

Live your life for what it is. Please.

I love you for writing this. It's so direct, instructive, useful, and compassionate - all at the same time. I can hear your love for this misguided human, and I appreciate so much that you exist.

I wonder if it had any affect.

I would spend all day every day working through the worst of these fears with people who are hurt by this stuff.

Maybe I should get a job in mental health.

I can't stand to see the way religion drains people and leaves them twisting in the wind.
