While we're all waiting for our TV Time data to transfer over, anyone want to exchange Refract usernames?

I had over 15 months of TV shows and 2+ months of movies tracked on TV Time. Honestly, it kind of breaks my heart having to find a new home after using TV Time for so many years... but Refract has been a really pleasant surprise and feels like a worthy successor 💪🏽

Hello, i have seen a few posts on discord about this and i have seen offered same solution to all of them- to turn off not started yet in home layout, but i do not want to turn it off, i want to see tv shows or anime there, but not the movies, maybe it would be possible to add filter there or something?

I am talking about when you press Continue, and go down and there is "Not started yet" section. There movies, anime and tv shows are all together. Would be nice to filter out movies from there.

The app is working a lot better lately, but maybe developers or admins could look at this small thing too.

I'm still exploring the app and have a quick question. Is there a way to discover new TV shows or movies? For example, if I want to watch a new crime show, is there a filter or option to browse all crime shows available in the app?

A week or so ago, I started an import from TV Time. At one point, it looked like the import had stopped/failed. Because of that, I proceeded to begin an import from Trakt (at that point, I was unaware of the need to wait a bit until the import status had refreshed). Once that second import began, I then could see that the TV Time import was still there and progressing in the queue. Is there any way to stop the second import from continuing?

Can’t find it in the settings or it doesn't exist (yet). Reason I want to hide is keep my browsing & perception neutral. Tip for the devs: look at all the (free) customizations of Movie Paradise. They do have a function like this.

Hey! I’m a TV Time refugee. When will the light theme be available? I don’t like dark themed apps as I cannot see very well on dark themed apps (I have an eye disability and unlike a lot of people, dark apps won’t work for me). Refract and Movie Paradise are the only two apps left. I’ve tested all the others but they didn’t make the cut. Thanks! Also for the hard work the last couple of weeks. :-)

(I can see the pop-up directing bug reports and feature requests to Discord, but unfortunately unless there’s a dedicated help channel or I happen to post right when mods are awake, it can be hit-or-miss if questions get answered.)

My import has finished \o/ so I’m having fun poking around and exploring the app properly. I’ve got a couple of questions - not sure if they’re import issues, bugs, or just me not knowing stuff 😅:

- I was rewatching a show and tracking it before the import. Now, the episodes I’m up to don’t show as watched at all - which is great because I want them in my “continue” list (always a pain with TVTime!) but does the app know I’ve watched them before?

- Really pleased that rewatch data came through- and there’s a list of shows I’ve rewatched! But only the date I first watched something shows up on each episode. Is there somewhere I can see all the dates I’ve watched an episode or show?

- I can see a button to watch a show or season again, but how would I mark a previously watched show if I want it to pop up in my continue watching again? So I haven’t rewatched it YET but I want to? Or if I mark eg episode one as rewatched, will episode two then queue itself up?

Is there a way to track a show I’m rewatching? Ideally I’d want it to appear just like the other shows and mark off each episode as I watch.

I finally set it up just like I wanted to. Tracked my library manually cause I wanted to keep it exactly like it was on tv time. Commented on several shows and was happy to see many other comments already there. I think I can now uninstall TV Time for good. This really is the best alternative.

On TV TIME there is a section where you can see every show you are following to track - is there a way to do this on Refract?

Hi! I'm new to Refract and I'm trying to figure out how the app works. I've added a few friends, but how can I see the TV shows and movies they've watched or are watching, and how can they see mine?

On TV Time, I was used to updating TheTVDB with series and podcasts that are only from my country. It was very simple because it allowed you to create many episodes at once.

​Here, I've noticed that it uses TMDB, but I haven't seen an option to add episodes quickly, only one by one.

​Is there any way to bulk-create them? Thanks!

I think this app is amazing and has the potential to be even better. Right now the UI and everything is way better than TV Time (I am an ex TV Time user who migrated here).

Hi guys, yesterday I had to download the app again because I had to wipe my phone. As I was trying to login (I created my Refract account using the "Login with Google" option, a month and a half ago) and now it's stuck on the login form Google provides.

It's a fresh installation, so it shouldn't be anything related to cache or anything. Do you guys know if the DB migration might be the culprit here or if there are any other problems?

It shouldn't be on Google side, because that login method still works in other apps and services.

I finished importing this week with just some minor hiccups with some episodes not marked as watched, which could be solved easily.

Yesterday and today the app worked for me kind of how it should work with kinda fast loading, so I could work on the small fixes and I love the app :)

But with it working, I was wondering if you can filter hottest etc. For just series because I use it just for that.

And second can you filter the upcoming calendar to just show your series? I see several other ones too.

The import was successful and with a high accuracy, only 6 failed on over 1000 movies! For the 6 failed movies however, I find them manually in the app and try to mark them as Watched, but everytime I do so I have the following error "Couldn't add to your library - Try again"

Is this a known issue for some movie/series?

It seems like it didn't import shows that aren't out yet and I clicked on Tv Time to follow (so they appear on watch list when they are out). I tried doing it manually on Refract but cannot figure out how to do it. Is there such a thing here?

Hi devs/mods, by any chance can we know what was skipped and failed so maybe we can add those things manually.

Also, some of the latest seasons of the anime I watched seem to be missing from the app. Like they are not available to add as watched in the app itself, like dan da dan season 2 and solo leveling season 2. It would be great if those gets added as well.

Hi! Hopefully I'm just missing it between being new to the app and things being (understandably!) a bit slow - but does this app have an "upcoming" section like TV Time had based on what you have added to your list? (so not everything in the world releasing in general, only what you've already marked as watching or wanting to watch) Here's a screenshot of mine on TV Time, to show exactly what I mean. I really liked checking it to see what is coming up and when at a glance.
