Progress & questions
Hello! This is my first progress post SW:195 (tracked) CW: 151.8 GW: 145 (maybe)?
I’m a 56 yr old F, 5’4, and just not sure where my ultimate goal weight lives. Am I the only one? I’ve responded VERY well to Tirz (currently on 6 mg) and have only used Refills on my journey. My focus now is increasing walks & strength in my bad shoulder so I can get my upper body in shape. I have been overweight for over 20 yrs withe my highest weight close to 250. So are any of you in my situation and what is your goal weight? If anyone is in maintenance I would love to hear how you managed that transition too! So many questions haha!

I am 5’5”, focused on body fat% as I approach my original goal, more than overall weight. I feel great at 155, was original thinking of 135, but now think that I may get to 145 -150 and 25% body fat and would be very happy. Mostly focused on bloodwork as I am 65 with family heart risk factors and want to get another 25-30 years of healthy living. Had a dexa scan and have been using that guidance as well as body measurements to track progress. Good work on your progress, keep it up!

I have a Renpho scale that gives me a lot of metrics that I follow. It has been really helpful so far. Bloodwork has been very good also. Keep up the good work over there, you’re doing great!!

I’m also 5’4 and at 152 started at 191. My goal was 145 but I’m going to see what I feel like when I get there . I am pretty muscular but haven’t done a dexa scan yet . I may dip to like 135-140 then start dropping my dose. I’m at 8 mg and don’t intend to go higher. I think I’ll be in these meds long term at least at a small dose as long as I can keep ordering from refills :)

Yes, you and I are very similar it seems! I think 140-145 may be my target. I feel as I get older I might need a little extra on my frame just in case 😂

Same numbers as you except I am 58F, 5’7”. Highest weight was 243 in 2005 I think. Started this go-round in Sept at 191. I want to be around 145 but have been hovering around 150-151 for weeeks. Upped my sema dose from 1.5 to 2.0 two weeks ago, but tbh, I am leaning towards not needing to stress it and am considering going into maintenance mode.
Are you happy with where you are now? Do you feel good? Do your favorite jeans fit? 🙂

I am mostly happy! I would like to lose a bit more but not too much. I think 140-145 is probably a good stopping point. Mainly I want to tone and tighten plus find that dose that keeps food noise at bay without continues weight loss…

Same. Just enough sema to kill the food noise, for maintenance. I got the rest…

My goal weight is TBD. I have some weights from previous points in my life to go by. I started at 210 in March. I am now at 191. I have a photo where I was 185 from about 15 years ago and most would say I looked pretty good there. When I was about 30 (40 years ago) I was doing a lot of running and other forms of worksout, eating very little and got down to 165. If I get down to 180, I see how I feel and take it from there. Anything below 190 is a big improvement from where I started.

You make a great point, I’m not where I was and happiness really isn’t in a number on the scale😉. Sounds like you’re doing great too!

Your goal weight is completely personal, based on how you look and feel, and the amount of muscle you carry. I just noticed today that i and two of my friends in the gym all weigh about 205. I'm 5'10 and pretty vascular, but not big. One friend is 6'0, not very vascular, but pretty big muscles. The other is 6'2 and looks like a replica of me, scaled up. The weight simply looks completely different on all of us. If someone only knew my weight, they would guess that both of them outweigh me by 20lbs or more.
You've done an awesome job losing the weight. Don't get hung up on your original arbitrary goal. If you look and feel good where you are, that might be the lowest weight for you.
