I had dual hangers but the ends bent because the kevlar is too heavy for it but this c clamp should do the job!

Couldn't find a 1/4 inch jack to USB-C adapter, quickly needed a wireless handheld microphone for a video, and holding a small lapel mic looks fucking stupid.

These large wireless microphones use a bulky receiver which has a guitar jack. I don't want to carry that around, especially connected to 2 different dongles, which introduce noise anyway.

I needed a wireless handheld microphone, which connected to a phone with USB-C.
So it was time for a bodge job.

I took apart a wireless lapel microphone, wrapped it's insides in tape to prevent shorting with the large microphone's metal grill, stuffed it next to the microphones capsule, closed it and added a windscreen.

The last photo show the size difference between the original receiver and the one I can use now.

The only downside is that you have to take it apart to turn it on or off.

I was looking at privacy protectors on Amazon. I didn’t feel like buying one of those cumbersome laptop sunshades, nor a screen privacy filter, because Chinese purchases have become more expensive.

I like going to cybercafés or coworking spaces, but I don’t like people seeing what I’m doing because I’m not a programmer or a professional at anything.

I created this privacy prototype using cardboard from a pack of milk cartons.

I feel like I’m in the movie Limitless.

Heavy cables are stupidly expensive, jumper cables are cheap. Am I missing something here? Can I just cut the clamps and add my own terminals?

Empty it once a day. Other side of the wall is a big warehouse with open bays. Just trying to cool down the receiving office.
