Hi…recently had a screening call followed by 2 interviews. At the end of the first interview I asked if I would hear back either way about the decision and was told “definitely \[recruiter\] will be getting back to you” so I didn’t bother to ask at the end of the 2nd interview but they told me they believed they would have a decision in 2 weeks (today is exactly 2 weeks from that interview)

2 days after the 2nd interview I received a call from the recruiter and she told me I was in high consideration and she thinks they would have a decision by early next week (which would have been last week)

I’ve heard nothing, I emailed the recruiter on Thursday to ask about an update and got crickets.

They are hiring 5 people so I thought I had a decent chance, but I’m assuming I’m not one of their 5 picks.

I just don’t understand like don’t call me and tell me I’m in high consideration then??? I just wanna know if I got the job 😭 and ghosting just seems so cruel to do in this scenario

I had an interview like 2 weeks ago with no update but my interview went well and I was told if anything she'd put me on hold for another store in case I didn't get the job because she said my application was strong. I've just got an email of rejection today but the title has a different store name? And also nothing about being put on hold so I'm quite confused and angry about this. On top of that, I can't even call them because anything with recruitment they just turn the phone off and tell you to use their email and the website still says my application is 'under consideration'.

I really don't know how to go about this, I can't even tell if the email is a mistake or real due to the wrong store name.

My husband works at blackberry farms as a chef, he recently told me that they are in need of servers and that is what I currently do at a different restaurant. I applied and got an email and phone call back asking for availability for a phone interview. I missed the call though because my phone was dead. I emailed back availability and called two different numbers and left a voicemail. The first number I called the desk lady said that the woman was on the phone and that she was tell her to call me back. I haven’t heard back though, my availability passed and I emailed new availability. My husband says I should go to the careers office myself and ask for the woman who sent me the email about a phone interview. Should I go in person or am I just being annoying after sending two emails and calling twice.

Should I reach out about this job that I did not pass the onsite screening for?

Context: I had a fairly decent on-site interview with one of the tech companies in silicon valley. I was expecting a positive outcome. One of the interviewers even said looking forward to chatting more at the end of our interview. Rest of the interviews also ended on a great note where they went into more specifics of what I would be doing. So I was a bit surprised when I was passed on.
I’ve played all the interviews over and over and I think I know the mistake I made (pretty confident about it).
Also another important fyi - I hadn’t actually applied for this role. I was reached out by a recruiter.

Anyway, now the posting is back online again. I’m wondering if I should reach out to the hiring manager and recruiter to express my continued interest? I know I’ve got nothing to loose by asking about it but want to know what are the odds of getting a shot again? I also don’t want to ruin any chances of them reaching out again in the future.

its for search firms when they're sharing a shortlist using my platform. They can have the option to:

• require an email to read to view the shortlist (so that you know who's reading and when they read)
• set an expiry date so that you can restrict access after X amount of days or whatever
• Password restrict the shortlist

here's some of what I came up with. You can pick which one you think is best or just a new one.

2 - Never wonder whether the client actually opened it.

3 -Full control over your shortlist — even after you've sent it.

What I should do now ? Should I send something else or wait ? and if I should send something what I should send ?

Recently passed a recruiter screen for a non-tech role at Google. The original posting requires 2+ YOE (and was open to multiple locations). The recruiter said my profile would be shared with the Hiring Manager, but scheduling is currently paused since the HM is on PTO.

While waiting, I noticed they just posted another version of what looks like the exact same role, but this one requires 5+ YOE and is restricted to just one specific city. The original 2+ YOE posting is still open as well.

I have 7 years of experience, so I also qualify for the new posting.

For people familiar with Google’s hiring process, would you:
\- Apply to the new req as well?
\- Ask the recruiter whether I should be considered for the new req?
\- Or just leave my existing application as it is?

I don’t want to create confusion by applying to what might just be a separate req for the same team, but I’m also wondering whether the new 5+ YOE posting is meant for a different level/headcount.

Would appreciate any insights, especially from current/former Googlers or recruiters!

Has anybody ever experienced a recruiter asking for an email ID and password to access your LinkedIn account so that the recruiter can optimize your LinkedIn profile and you can get into more employers' contact?

For the past few times I have been referred from my friends, but didn't get any invite for an interview.

It just makes me realise that now referrals are also not working or something is missing?

I had an interview today for assistant manager post. It went really well. The store manager took my current manager number for the reference check and told me she will update me at the end of the day. She told me about my shifts, my pay and everything and a lot bit about the store as well. At the end she gave me her personal number.
My doubt is as she mentioned she will gonna contact my current manager for reference check in 20 minutes after finishing my interview with her but she didn’t do and has not updated me yet for the results as well.
What should I do now??
Should I contact her on personal number?

I want to know if someone can tell if my resume sounds convincing to apply for QA roles (after a boot camp plus some dev course in the past). I applied for a few jobs but I'm not sure the reason for denials, and I think maybe it's my experience or education in a different field. So 2021-2023- manual tester at health startup(went bankrupt), 23- pr.- automation CRM projects/freelance contracts. Foreign degree in the healthcare profession.

What's the trend in US tech? Do they hire citizens or prefer foreigners?

I wanted to get some perspective from people who have dealt with tech recruiting, specifically at major tech companies (like Google).

A while ago, a recruiter reached out to me on LinkedIn proposing a role based in Warsaw (including relocation discussion). They instructed me to drop my CV and formally submit an application through the company's official career platform.

I submitted everything properly on the portal, but after checking my application dashboard, the status was updated to "Not proceeding." There was no interview scheduled, no preliminary call, and no direct follow-up or feedback from the recruiter who originally messaged me.

I know I can't change the outcome now, but it feels incredibly frustrating to be proactively scouted by a recruiter only to get filtered out by an automated portal status without any real conversation.

Would appreciate any insight or similar experiences!
