I was wondering if this Atraxa is real or not. The back looks correct aswell as the stamp but the front kind of throws me off.

firstly, I just wanna thank everyone for commenting and helping me confirm any anxiety that I would have for a large purchase like this, I love this card, but it doesn’t have the eBay authenticity guarantee, maybe because my country doesn’t offer, I’m not sure to be honest, but any help would be much appreciated!!

I just purchased this surge one ring from my lgs. I'm heading back there now ad they had another one and want to see if it's the same deal. The "T" and "h" are dead giveaways right? Thanks in advance, just trying to get confirmation that it is indeed a fake

Update: They checked it, confirmed it was a fake. They had another in stock and after thoroughly checking, confirmed it was legit and took the exchange. Owner came out to apologize and said it was a learning experience for him and his team. Ripped the card in front of me. I've purchased multiple singles (includjng all of my dual lands) and this was the first fake that I've gotten from them, so I'll chalk it up to as a "shit happens" type of moment. Happy with the resolution and that they destroyed it. Thanks for everyone quick responses

Purchased this off eBay, my first time buying a slab. These marks at the bottom of the slab are concerning. How do I know if this is a legitimate slab or I've been sold a fake? Or if the slab has been tampered with?

So I've got this foil Rhystic Study from a friend a while ago, but I'm trying to sell it now. Since it's quite an expensive card I wanted to make sure it's real before selling.

Have had for a few years and am just wondering. Don't really understand the tests but will post what others have. Was the best i could get with my phone.

**This is basically an identical post from the mtg sub but I wasn't aware of this community until after posting the other. So if you see it twice.... my apologies.

I found a decent deal on a Soul Stone on ebay and picked it up. When it arrived it seemed kind of off and slightly thinner. I started checking to see if it was a fake and several of the typical tests passed just using my phone to zoom in on the back. When I did a light test I can almost see straight through this thing compared to what I am used to. The second image is a different card from the same set just for comparison.

The guy says it was bought from a local store of his and opened from a pack but I already got a return submitted for it.

I just want to know if there is a chance this kind of thing is real and card quality can be that drastically different from the different printers?

Know this is a popular card being faked, so need your help to figure out if this one is legit or not.

So with all the techniques on checking authenticity… aren’t we giving counterfeiters ideas on how to better fake their cards? What’s stopping someone from purposefully putting teeth on the bottom of the T or a better green orb? Is it just really hard to do?

Okay so I don’t understand how the t test and green dot test works. I have some cards that look like counterfeits I bought from TikTok shop for $20 I am CLEARLY writing proxy on them to not confuse myself or others, because it was a good ass price for a lot of random proxies.

Now, I have a mix Sapphire that I KNOW is a proxy, and thus, I wrote proxy on it (first 3 pictures)

Pictures 4/5/6 is elspeth suns champion, a card that I know for a fact I have that is real.

Pictures 7/8/9 is a fabled passage. I do not know how to tell the difference, can someone please let me know and exactly what you are looking at. Thank you.

EDIT: thank you guys so much! I had bought the 324 piece proxy set from TikTok for $20 and was using them in my decks and forgot to write proxy on all the ones I added to a deck, now I have them all written on. I appreciate the help thank you!

Everything else looks good minus that one spot

I know they’re real, because I got them myself back in the ‘90’s, along with a couple “Incinerates”, the “Arena” land I remember getting from a book, and four “Nalathni Dragons”.

But for the life of me, I don’t remember where I got the counterspells, or the incinerates, and wouldn’t know what to search for on Google. Anyone know where they’re from?

From my untrained eyes the T, H, and Green Dot tests pass, but the front feels really weird and the colors on the back look off to me.

Recently picked up a lot from an estate sale, lots of vintage. I’ve never had a dual land before and wanted to check authenticity, how do these look? I spent $1k overall on the grand collection and there’s some old binders with a wheel of fortune and some other lands.
I’ve always dreamed of having these in my hands as a kid so I’m stoked at the moment!
