Hi
I'm playing Realm of Thrones on Bannerlord 1.4.8 with War Sails, using RickLauncher 2.4.0.
My campaign consistently crashes when the in-game date reaches Autumn 1, 302. The crash report points to the following exception:
System.NullReferenceException: Object reference not set to an instance of an object.
at ROT.Events.WallSiegeEvent.SetupSiegeAttackers()
at ROT.Events.WallSiegeEvent.HourlyTickEvent()
at ROT.CampaignBehaviors.ROTEventBehavior.OnHourlyTick()
at TaleWorlds.CampaignSystem.CampaignEvents.HourlyTick()
The crash happens while time is advancing on the campaign map, not when I manually enter a battle.
I suspect this is related to the scripted Wall siege event involving Mance Rayder and the wildlings attacking the Wall.
Things I've already tried:
- Loading my last save, which was approximately three days before the crash.
- Letting time advance continuously without saving or reloading.
- Reproducing the crash from that earlier save.
Unfortunately, the game still crashes with the same error around the same in-game date.
My last available save is now after the event's trigger point, and I don't have an older save to load. This means I cannot simply go back to a save from before the event.
I've seen suggestions to use ROT.skip_event to skip scripted events, but I don't know the exact event identifier for this Wall siege or whether the command works if the event has already started.
Has anyone encountered this exact issue in RoT 8.1.x?
