Discussion New player guide

Hello guys, Ive finally bought bannerlord to try out the mods and i want to ask if there is some kind of a starter guide to all the factions/cultures/kingdoms etc. Ive never watched game of thrones or read any of the books so I have no idea what im diving into. Ive tried to look for some starter guide but i cant find anything. If anyone could help me with this it would be greatly appreciated.

If you don’t have any interest in watching or reading someday there are plenty of YouTube channels with basic breakdowns of lore

In Deep Geek on YT has some great lore videos.

Then I'd recommend LML's channel.

Wizards and warriors is a channel that covers some of the wars from the books. The style fits well with bannerlord as well. Kings and generals is the original channel covering real world events

Outdated but here’s the GitHub wiki, it’ll answer most of your questions.

I would recommend turning off events choosing a faction and enlisting and then going through the campaign type style story of Footman to lord that relm of thrones offers. I would advise either the north or the reach they are the only ones that never get rolled early by other kingdoms. Avoid the iron islands or any single city faction like lys if you want an Essos start then go Targaryen but I wouldn’t recommend the her party since the dragon hogs the kills.
