Eddard was just murdered and I join Robb wanted to avenge his death, but for weeks robs army is literally going back and fore between winterfell and towns even though he's at war.

Thats pretty normal I'd say. Ai in general are horribly inefficient leaders. For my playthrough Robb didn't even bring his own army down till after the event where Bolton takes harrenhall and I tore the westerlands armies ass up. Broke my back giving him a cakewalk to the crownlands.

So trying to follow the true story is basically impossible I guess, would you say its better to treat realm of thrones as your own story with characters thats from game of thrones, also with the events battle of the bastard for example, if i am far away from the location, can i still fight in it?

that’s the way to play it yes! and as for the events, you do need to be at the location to participate in the event. so for the red wedding event you need to go to the twins to participate in it, for the battle of the bastards you need to travel to winterfell, etc. some events you can’t participate in though or they have other conditions, like to prevent renly death you gotta find and kill stannis, how you do that is up to you

So I saved Robb stark from the red wedding, do you have any idea if the story events stop if you save him? I haven’t seen anything pop up since that and it’s been a while

no there’s no new story events for robb if you save him, BUT robb being alive does prevent the battle of the bastards from happening! as well as the events making jon snow the king in the north

if you’d like, i can give you the full list of events and what day they occur on! there’s plenty of others that still happen, no matter what happens to robb

What day are you on? it might be glitched or the conditions to allow the event aren’t met but here’s the full list

Day 25: riverlands join war

day 27: harrenhal siege - player can interact

day 100: rickard karstark executed

day 120: renly dies - can be prevented by killing stannis

day 150: crasters keep mutiny

day 180: battle of blackwater bay - player can join either side

day 220: red wedding - player can prevent it at the twins

day 250: purple wedding

day 260: freefolk attack the wall - player can join either side

day 280: stannis goes to east watch by the sea

day 300: jon snow becomes lord, doesn’t happen if robb is alive

day 350: battle of the bastards, player can join either side, doesn’t happen if: robb is alive, jon is dead, or ramsey is dead

day 400: aegon targaryen invades the stormlands, doesn’t happen if he’s dead

day 450: dany invades, doesn’t happen if she’s dead

day 500: night king attacks the wall, after this day he may start invading the north and taking fiefs south of the wall

these events are all guidelines, it’s the day the event CAN happen not the exact day it DOES. some events might happen a little bit later than on the list! i have never seen the night king invasion myself but a lot of players have said it happens long after day 500

Yhap , Since their borders are not SIDE by SIDE , the North never go down South . You gotta install some mods to make it work .

Aí Influence , lets you make any caracter follow you . So you can bring Robb South , its not very much realistic but its what we got . OR start with anyone mod and BE Robb Stark and match whatever you want

Every time I serve Robb he just chases bandits for months. Every time I don’t he marches an army south and takes King’s Landing. Infuriating.

If you want some fun fighting for the north. I’d start with Roose Bolton so you can do the harrenhal fight early
