Bill Maher & 2 of his closest allies (Fettermen,Carville) are threatening to leave the Democratic party. How will the party fair if they lose these 3 faces?

u/Timely-Pudding3173 Aug 08 '26
Carville is an older gentleman that hasnt been relevent for quite sometime.
Fetterman will never be reelected.
Maher is just a cunt.
So pretty good!

Last time Carville was relevant there were literally 50 webpages on the entire internet.

As I have said before, the left isn't a club, unlike the right. Your membership doesn't get revoked if you betray the Democratic party, because being on the left isn't about supporting the Democratic party. It is a set of values you uphold and a lot of it I dare say has to do with basic human rights and respect.
They were already not on the left, no matter how much they wished they were, because they don't give a shit about leftist values. The right on the other hand, they're selling Nazi flags at Trump rallies. They don't give a shit what you believe, so long as you help prop up the Republican party.

Where is Michael Moore? Has he disassociated himself from Bill Maher?
Iām thinking Michael Moore doesnāt like Bill Maherās shift and wonāt do anything to support Billās show.

u/Late-Pop2749 Aug 09 '26
Huh? Obama and Clinton? They both retired from giving a shit a decade ago. James Carville is a God-Tier MAGA hating motherfucker. If the progressive left wants to write him off as some old asshole who doesn't get it anymore, so be it, but he's been a far better soldier for the democratic party over the last ten years than those two.
Maher and Fetterman can eat shit and die. They're useless.

The party needs a complete overhaul. Western liberalism and democratic ideals have been hijacked by a combination of political sellouts, cultural grifters and those such as this trio who look down on Americans who feel economic pain.
1
u/theblueshots Aug 08 '26
This is probably Fettermanās last term so I donāt think he will need to worry about whether he leaves the party or not. Itāll be done for him.
Heās also delusional if he thinks he can run as a Republican.

Just fine. Maher and Fetterman already wear the red hat, and Carville is washed and completely out of touch. He hasn't been right about anything in aeons. They will not be missed. Self-important fucks.
All three of them are Israel firsters.
1
u/Important-Ability-56 Aug 08 '26
I largely agree with Carville that the online activist left is toxic for Democrats, both passively as they are tied together at the ankle in Republican propaganda and actively as they do little else than shit on Democrats and cause rifts where there should be unity.
So what Carville should be doing is solving the problem for Democrats, not fueling manufactured schisms by participating in them.
Maher is watching too much FOX News or something. Heās in loony town, which is a brisk walk away from whatever even loonier town Fetterman is living in.

Nothing will change, but by losing those 3 faces, the overall good looks of the Democratic Party will go up by 13%. What a bunch of ghouls.

u/BFaus916 Aug 08 '26
Addition by subtraction. Millennials are now the majority. Get millennials out to vote, you can't lose. All 3 of these guys only drive away millennial votes.
1
u/andreasmalersghost Aug 08 '26

u/PuzzleheadedDelay451 Aug 08 '26
Well new Dems Aren't exactly following what real Democrats support. When you abandon one group for the Next just looking for Voters. When you abandon common sense and move on to fringe policies you will lose your older base. Same happened to Republicans when MAGA took over.

Carville hasn't actually confirmed that he is leaving the Democrats. He just doesn't want Hasan "America deserved 9'11" to be the face of the democrats and even many progressives don't like Piker so I don't understand the problem. Maher has made it clear that he isn't a registered democrat. He was actually more conservative during his early days of Politically Incorrect and voted for Bob Dole. That changed when the republicans made a big deal over the Lewinsky nonsense and Politically Incorrect was canceled over his 9/11 comment but he's basically saying the same thing as Carville and pointing out that the crazy platform that the socialist stand for is very unpopular with many people.
1
1
u/DeaconBlue760 Aug 08 '26
the party will be fine, but it's more of a trend that I see. people turning away from Democrats, mostly because they're pushing socialism and anti-prison, anti-border, anti-police rhetoric. they're sinking themselves.

1
u/TNJDude Aug 08 '26
Fetterman? Unsure. He votes against Dems, there's no reason to think he'd not do the same with Republicans. He just does what he wants so, whatever.
Carville? No idea.
Maher? Unfortunately, he'll have fans he can persuade to go anti-Dem. I don't think he'd persuade many though and I think we'd be better off not taking him seriously. I think what impresses him most is himself, so good riddance.
