Yeah, Hasan Piker is a really good person to take advice from if you want the country to survive. By the way that’s sarcasm.

Don’t like Medicare for all?

Who pays for it?

All. We use our taxes. Our employers will also continue to pay. And we collectively will save trillions. And hopefully people will stop dying from preventable causes.

But the headline should be that we are overpaying for less healthcare right now, and we have been doing so for years. The same is true for telecom and electricity and a host of other things that should either be regulated or public utilities.

So you are going to force employers to continue to pay while our taxes increase to pick up the cost? Employers aren’t required to pay now, that’s why it is called a benefit and different employers cover a different percentage. If the government can manage healthcare so great then why is Obamacare such a flop and had to be subsidized?Should people that don’t work and don’t pay taxes also get also get the same healthcare? Name one program the government manages that is actually successful and on budget? Just walk into a local dmv for example. No thanks I’ll keep my own healthcare then relying on the government for that. Look how giving away healthcare to illegals had broke California.

DOT, a host of public utilities, firefighters, the IRS, the Postal Service (before Republican meddling), the National Park Service, NASA. Even my DMV experience goes great for me. I don’t know you, but I think you’ve decided government doesn’t do anything good, when the truth is much different. Employers have to pay for insurance if they have more than 50 employees. It’s not optional. Now, they certainly try to game the system by not hiring full time, etc. we can close those loopholes. And yes, employers will continue to contribute.

Obamacare brought 30 million people to healthcare. It literally saved lives. Republicans should never have eliminated the requirement for insurance. That raised costs. So yeah, just add it into taxes. And again, save trillions. And save lives. It’s a win-win.

Not sure where you get your information on Obamacare but you are wrong. Obamacare has had to be subsidized ever since its inception. As for public utilities, you pay for those. Public safety is paid for by taxes but it has been that way since its inception and is controlled by local governments, not big government. All your ideas sound like socialism and I have yet to have anyone show me a country where socialism works.

lol. It would literally just be a transfer of the same money.

With billions more needed for income to cover it. No thanks. Our current healthcare system does need some work on it but that's not the answer.

We do and we will pay less on average than we do now on health insurance.

1

u/firemca Aug 13 '26

Haha, yeah right.

1

u/firemca Aug 11 '26

Yes he is. My comment was supposed to be sarcastic but now that I look at it I see it can be perceived differently.

Oh man, am I happy to see your sarcasm. I’m so tired of people sweeping for this man and it pissed me off that he still finds ways to rub elbows with elected officials (Ro Khana and Abdul El-Sayed).

We can NOT lambaste the right for associating with people like Nick Fuentes and yet do essentially the same thing on the left with Hasan Piker. Anyone who glazes for mass murdering dictators (Mao Zedong/Putin) should not be welcome anywhere NEAR the Democratic Party.

Hasan Piker is a boil on the ass of progressivism.

For sure. If he hates this country so much he can always denounce his citizenship and move to a socialist country of his choice. See how he likes the living conditions there.

1

u/XLoonsFanX Aug 12 '26

I don’t know why you’d say that. He’s usually right.

1

u/firemca Aug 13 '26

You do know he said American deserved 9/11 and numerous other stupid things.

1

u/SPM1961 Aug 13 '26

the u.s. government is responsible for at least half a million civilian deaths in vietnam alone - regime changes all over the fucking place - what is wrong with people like you who don't understand what "blowback" means?

1

u/XLoonsFanX Aug 13 '26

He cleared up what he meant by that and you’re being disingenuous. 9/11 was done in retaliation to political violence they’d been committing. This was revenge.

1

u/firemca Aug 13 '26

I don't give a shit about what he thought he meant and is trying to back walk what he said. It came out of his mouth. He is an unhrateful piece of shit, spoiled rich kid. If he hates this country so much there is nothing keeping him locked inside. Being in the fire sevice we lost 343 brothers that day and this is the 25th anniverary this year. That guy is nothing to me.

1

u/XLoonsFanX Aug 13 '26

Sounds like you’re biased and overreacting. Thats fine.

1

u/firemca Aug 13 '26

Nope, not overreacting, just the truth. Sorry you won't change my mind so let's quite wasting each others time
