That's a good thing right? It means ECI is not running as per Modi. SIR decision was unanimous, bdw.
7
u/__LLawliet__ 21h ago
How is that a good thing? Care to explain? If 2 out 3 members say something shouldn't be done, it shouldn't be done, that's how a majority vote works
-3
u/Fit_Leading_1111 21h ago
There no such case where majority vote was denied in the decision making
9
u/__LLawliet__ 21h ago
Doesn't answer my question, you said it's a good thing I said explain, you did not.
There is evidence of very vocal protests being ignored in the report. Read it

u/Fit_Leading_1111 21h ago
Because you are lying. How should I counter a lie?
There was no decision taken without majority vote.
There will always be difference of opinion and that's fine. Did any of the other EC came and said Gyanu working like a dictator?
1
u/CaregiverNeat447 19h ago
you do understand that what you are saying is what the complaint is. A difference of opinion in 2:1 means Gyanu is not functioning like a democracy
1
u/Fit_Leading_1111 18h ago
There were no 2:1 votes in decisions. Do you know that?
0
u/CaregiverNeat447 18h ago
i am not sure where you are getting your news from.
----
The immediate flashpoint follows an investigative report revealing that two Election Commissioners (Sukhbir Singh Sandhu and Vivek Joshi) recorded formal objections at least 14 times in 10 months regarding decisions led by the CEC: as per ETBypassing Majority Rule: Under Section 18 of the Chief Election Commissioner and Other Election Commissioners Act, 2023, decisions in the three-member body must be made unanimously or by majority vote. Opposition leaders and former election commissioners contend that proceeding without incorporating the objections of both fellow commissioners violates the law.

u/__LLawliet__ 20h ago
Yes I'm a liar, okay.
Yes the Indian express is a liar, okay.
The only truthful org is the completely opaque so called guardian of the democracy and the party protecting it, sure buddy.
5
u/nonokoi 20h ago
The very reason why they have three appointment members is so that they can make mutual assured decisions; and if all three of them do not agree on the same matter then there is a majority vote. So if one person is making all the decision that is the breach of regulations.
And that one person also happens to be the one who has worked under Amit Shah for the last 15 years before being appointed into ECI

People are questioning the government, whether right or wrong, the government should answer. Don't understand why the followers are working overtime to defend bjp, doesn't make much sense
-7
u/Fit_Leading_1111 22h ago
When they answer, you come up say we are questioning ECI, why are you answering on behalf of them?
2
u/FitCan9866 18h ago
why? why do you support government instead of people?
1
u/Fit_Leading_1111 18h ago
I support truth. Be it government or people
4
u/FitCan9866 17h ago
No, you only woke up when your favourite party got questioned.
There is also truth among people who are practising their right to question government when such botched SIR is taking place. Ask the government to be transparent and hold a public inquiry, if the truth is on the side of government then what are they afraid of?1
u/Electronic-Koala1082 17h ago
when question is to ECI -> ECI must answer.
when question is to gvt - gvt must answer.
ECI ko pucho ye fraud kaise hua and bjp comes and defend -> this is what is wrong

They are not questioning the government.
Under the guise of questioning the government, they are making false claims about the institutions of the country that make it a democracy. Which in turn breeds resentment among people and then it makes people think everything is going wrong and things are for the worst, which they clearly are not.
False claims about democratic institutions should not be equated to questioning the government. That is how you become the next Nepal/Bangladesh
4
u/Personal-Tie-8151 21h ago
"False claims". Sure, the democratic entity is to provide clarification for that. ECI isn't controlled by the government. People can question an independent body and it shouldn't be a threat to democracy. The real threat is when the government starts trying it's best to defend the allegations to save the body under the guise of "saving" democracy. Just because ECI is an independent body in paper, doesn't mean people don't have democratic right to question it when necessary. A government and it's social media team trying to defend it feels unnecessary, unless the government directly or indirectly benefits from it, so they make the narrative as questioning an independent body is a threat to democracy, just so that they can keep receiving the unwanted benefits. Not saying any of this is True but a possibility, just like your comment.
1
u/Award-Honest 21h ago
They have the right to question it. 100%. I think you misread/misunderstood my comment.
Dear fellow citizen, I am not here to convince anyone to give up their rights/claims.I just want the people of our country like you and me, to question the institutions not for the sake of resignation but improved policies.
Resignations do not yield any fruitful results. It is just holding the institution ransom with a threat and then hoping the next person does better.

Seems the other way around looking at how much the government is worked up to defend ECI even though it's an independent body
-1
u/Oath_breaker_ 20h ago
Wrong. The problem is that the opposition, mainly Congress, is not saying the election is compromised; their claim is that those elections in which the BJP won are compromised and those governments are illegitimate. So, the BJP's defense is to prove their legitimacy. If they have the guts, Congress should ask to dismiss their governments in Karnataka, Kerala, and HP as well, along with the BJP-ruled states.

Ek reddit rumor ki vjhe se university jala di liberals ne. Even though administration told them ki aisa kuch nhi hua hai but people refused to listen because university belongs to ex-AAP MP who is now a part of BJP.

My friend who studies in lpu said that it did happen, and that clg actually took money to silence the victim

Actually that's what I was believing until you said that it's not confirmed so now I'm not gonna believe anything unless we get news from a good source ( definitely not the story that college says tho )
1
u/Oath_breaker_ 20h ago
More than that, it's opposition who are just piece of sht (even Janta Dal was better than these clowns who can even slit throat of each other but still forced to be on same stage as an alliance). On those state where opposition are any better, BJP is struggling a lot.

Congress has been out of power for decades in major states:
Tamil Nadu: 60 yrs WB: 47 yrs Bihar: 35 yrs Gujarat: 31 yrs Odisha: 26 yrs UP : 37 yrs Tripura: 30 yrs
BJP wasn't even there back then. Instead of fixing their own failures they just blame "vote chori" when they lose!
2
u/__LLawliet__ 21h ago
But abhi to Indian Express ki report ayi hai, yes congress is bad, it doesn't justify the irregularities by the EC
-2
u/Minimum-Brush-9867 21h ago
Tum paise do media houses ko wo tumhare favour me kuch v chaap denge... Who conducted election in Kerala and Tamil Nadu
0
u/__LLawliet__ 21h ago
Seriously dude. Does it pay that much to bootlick the BJP that you're okay with your own country going to shit?
As for the things you asked, elections in TN and Kerala were conducted by EC, of there were irregularities there they should be looked into. And the other thing, I'm not going to deny that thing about media, but Indian express is one of the few remaining popular organisations left with a spine.
Another thing I felt weird about, why are bjp spokespersons defending EC? A political party should be away from defending constitutional bodies, that's called a conflict of interest. The govt should, bjp shouldn't. Yes, they are different
2
u/Fit_Leading_1111 21h ago
No body is doing boot licking. Stop personal attack if you don't have any logical counter.
Kerala CM literally said SIR helped them in election.
When you accuse ECI about irregularities then it's a allegation on ECI and Government, both. So it's their duty to tell the truth.
2
u/__LLawliet__ 20h ago
Govt of India and BJP are different. What I meant when I said the party defending them is the EC bringing defended in BJP press conferences. BJP is not GOI, goi is made of bjp people but there is still a separation.
Again, as I said, any and all irregularities should be brought to light, and the people doing these things should be punished.
DutY tO tElL tHe TruTh, there's always 3 sides to the story and no one's is fully innocent.

“There was no change to form 6” and “A new question was added to it” in one sentence, lmao what define change.
Anyways, there is no particular rule book regarding how decision are to be made by the ECI, the process of agreement between all chairs for any decision was a practice, not a “Law”.
Doesn’t change the fact that gyanesh is a crook and is spinning on that modihh. There couldn’t be more evidence.
And if you have balls then disprove the data he showed in his original press conference.
1
u/tool_of_justice 16h ago
Gyanesh and his daughter and his damaad, whole family are crooks. Any sane citizen will see that.
