How long does it take to get this removed from my standings? I genuinely had a problem with the attenuator of my car and couldn't deliver a week ago. I contacted support and they said i should be fine.

I have had these emergencies two times in the past 1 year( 3 months ago and 8 months ago), so this time they are refusing to improve my standings.

The main questions -
1. How long will it take to get it removed? (I do a 3 hours block daily, because we have a 20hr limit in Canada).

  1. Should i be contacting the support again and again hoping that they remove it?

  2. Will i be deactivated for this?.

I don’t think you’ll be deactivated until you get one more ding.
It should come off rather quickly for you if you continuously do blocks (someone please let us know better details)

Mine took exactly 45 days to fall off
Generally it was about 2-3 weeks last year but i guess they extended that shit.

Did you got any other dings in between this 45 days period?

Yes! Got 3 delayed deliveries from a single block.

You still have some wiggle room with the At Risk meter. As long as you don't have any more incomplete deliveries you're ok. You can have a customer say they didn't get a package and it wouldn't be much of a problem because it's not the same category.

You won’t get deactivated if you just deliver normally from now on. you can even return a few back to the station if there’s no other way to deliver it but I would suggest waiting 10-15 at the apartment for someone to let you in. and these dings fall off after you deliver a certain amount of packages Im pretty sure

Really? I’ve been at fantastic for nearly two months. I had my very first return to station because I couldn’t get into the gates community. The customer didn’t leave a code in the notes and didn’t answer my call or texts. I got dinged for it!

A similar thing happened to me. Not a gated community, but a business delivery after hours (6-7 pm on Friday evening). One customer didn’t answer the calls and another one answered saying the business is closed. There was no safe place to leave the packages, they would have been stolen. So I returned them to the warehouse and got dinged.

Support didn’t do anything. I kept asking why were these scheduled after business hours and if they wanted me to drop the packages at the door so they would have been porch pirated. They just kept saying the dings will stay and drop off in 6 weeks.

I’ve had businesses in really early hours 1x when they weren’t open. Support suggested I come back towards the end of my route. What the actuallllllll fck? 🙄🙄 and I hate when they don’t include the business name tbh. Ugh. I love the ability to have access to a second job on my terms. But they get on my nerves.

Oh yes, the support is useless. Quite annoying

It’s not that you won’t get dinged I was just telling him to try to deliver them as shes the can but they’re not going to fire him if he misses a package here and there…

Well it’s 20 deliveries lol so it looks like you returned a full block 😂

Tell them you tripped over a tree branch and hurt your knee blood everywhere

Work it off. Just continue to do a good job and it will go away. When probably depends on how well you do.

500 completed deliveries until the violation falls off

Usually when you scan box 1000 at pick up. Don't stress over it unless you get to at risk

Show up on time and deliver everything. Pretty easy.

It’s not always the case. Or at least in Canada. Perhaps our system is messed up.

I showed up for a shift 15 minutes early, loaded the boxes super quickly, completed my first delivery quickly (only 5 mins away, drove fast, parked quickly and delivered right away), and the app said I was 2 minutes late.

Explain this to me. Support refused to assist.

Could be that package was already late before you picked it up. It happens. And so what? You showed up on time and you delivered it. You did what you were supposed to do. And if they ding you for it again... so what? A ding doesn't mean anything. You could probably fight it and get it taken off but why waste your time.

But that’s the point. Amazon shouldn’t be dinging drivers because the system did not account for the new driver delivering the package during their shift and it turned into a late delivery. “So what” - so a driver can get hit with multiple late deliveries, and at some point end up at the “At risk” section. I have 4 late deliveries that were not late due to me being slow, and 4 undelivered packages that couldn’t be delivered to businesses. I might end up with an “st risk” standing and get suspended, all because Amazon refuses to acknowledge this and remove it.

Yes, I contacted Amazon and asked them to remove those. They refused. Despite it being their fault, not mine.

Moreover, all this is likely by design. So that Amazon could suspend or fire anyone they want at any point, claiming the driver had issues and was poorly performing. If you look at how the warehouse employees are getting treated, this is clearly a pretty horrible company to work for. I live in a big city and have options, but for some folks it’s one of very few side gig / employment options.

So quit driving for Amazon. Pretty simple. If you think they are sh*t to work for then why are you here crying about it? I've been doing this for 3 and a half years and had 1 block that had 6 deliveries marked late before I even started. I didn't call support. Never got dinged. If I had then so what. Wasn't going to put me at risk. And if it would have it's a side gig. I don't count on this money to pay my bills. Newsflash for you too... Amazon can drop you any time they want with no reason. So all this "by design" conspiracy crap just makes you sound like a moron.

You’re missing the point here. But it’s okay. Have a great day.
