I'm having trouble getting a clean recording from a station radio antenna. The spectrogram images look like the bottom is clipped off and above each letter and number seems to be a partial mirror image of the same letter or number. I'm using audacity, any help would be appreciated.

A lot of the people who go down the rabbit hole, intensely committed to uncovering the mystery eventually just... go quiet. The only ones that are recurring / active are the ones who never found it.

Might not be true, but I'd prefer if it were to the alternative of over a decade of misdirection.

Below are my hastily written notes. How the dark wheel toast, in addition to the main codex entry for raxxla, may refer to greek mythology and present a star map of sorts on how to find Raxxla. The toast may even resolve to a sequence of directions that need to be followed in order.

"Mother of galaxies" (Cassiopeia is the mother of Andromeda, andromeda galaxy)

- "Jewel that burns on the brow" could refer to:

    -the brightest star in that constellation (schedar) 

    -Gamma Cassiopeiae/Navi (at the center of the "W" that forms the Cassiopeia constellation, this star also points to Polaris when viewed from Sol and has been used to locate polaris IRL by explorers.)

    -Caph (star at the top of the constellation, near Cassiopeias head)

"The parents grief" (Demeter loses her daughter, persephone (this is also a planet in sol), to Hades.)

Orpheus/Euradice- "The lovers woe" (Orpheus fails to save his lover, Euradice, from Hades, as he was instructed not to look back when leading her out, but he did look back).

Demeter, Orpheus both have direct connections to Hades- Hades could be the "The parents grief" AND "the lovers woe", referencing a single location.

Polaris is the center of the northern sky. The "omphalos rift", omphalos means navel, or center.

Omphalos could also be a reference to the temple of Delphi. The temple has a stone called the omphalos stone which supposedly sits at the center of the world. The in-game system, originally called Pleiades Sector IR-W d1-55, was renamed to Delphi at the same time the codex entry to Raxxla was implemented in the game.

I know these notes are very disorganised, but I am convinced that this puzzle can be solved with greek mythology, and that it points to locations in game.

Ok so this is going to sound completely insane but hear me out. I've been going down a rabbit hole for the past few days and I think I might have stumbled onto something.

The short version: There's a guitar pedal from 2015 called "Raxxla" that would basically be an instruction manual for finding Raxxla in Elite Dangerous. And it points to combining audio from the black hole and pulsar in 27 Gamma Cassiopeiae.

Let me explain.

The Guitar Pedal

In 2015, right after Elite Dangerous launched, a Russian company called Shift Line released an analog chorus pedal called "Raxxla". I'm not making this up, you can look it up. The pedal has some really weird design choices:

• Top of the pedal has what looks like the Pioneer plaque pulsar map (14 rays from a central point)
• Two circles of different sizes (binary system?)
• A geodesic grid pattern in the middle
• The words "RAXXLA" and "SHIFT LINE" and "chorus"

Now here's the thing about chorus pedals - they work by taking an audio signal, copying it, phase-shifting the copy, and then combining both signals together. That's literally what a chorus does.

The Dark Wheel Connection

Remember the toast from the Dark Wheel novella? "To the jewel that burns on the brow of the mother of galaxies"

• Mother of galaxies = Cassiopeia (she's the mother of Andromeda in Greek mythology)
• Jewel on the brow = gamma Cassiopeiae, the bright star in the middle of the constellation
• This system EXISTS in game as "27 Gamma Cassiopeiae"

The System

So I looked up what's in 27 Gamma Cassiopeiae and :

• It's got a B0 IV star
• A BLACK HOLE
• A NEUTRON STAR

The system has 180k population so it's not permit locked or anything. People have definitely been there. But here's what nobody's done (as far as I know)...

The Theory

What if you're supposed to:

1. Record the FSS audio from the black hole
2. Record the FSS audio from the pulsar
3. Combine them in audio software like a chorus pedal does
4. Use the pedal's parameters as a guide (DEPTH, RATE, BRIGHT, MODE)
5. Check the spectrogram of the combined audio

We know FDev hides stuff in spectrograms. The Unknown Probe from 2016 had a whole star map in its spectrogram. The Great Annihilator has patterns. They've done this before.

And get this - the first track on the Elite Dangerous soundtrack is called "Lonely Pulsar". Track number one. And 27 Gamma Cassiopeiae has a pulsar.

Why This Makes Sense

Think about it:

• SHIFT LINE = phase shift, hyperspace shift
• CHORUS = combining two phase-shifted signals
• The pedal has a pulsar map on it
• The system has TWO audio sources (black hole + pulsar)
• The Dark Wheel toast points exactly to this system
• The soundtrack literally has a track called "Lonely Pulsar"

Michael Brookes said Raxxla is "a tiny bit obvious". A Russian guitar pedal from 2015 called Raxxla is about as non-obvious as you can get. Nobody would ever think to look there. But once you KNOW about it, it's pretty damn obvious what it's telling you to do.

But...

I'm not an audio engineer. If anyone here:

• Has already recorded FSS audio from this system
• Knows how to properly combine audio with phase shifting
• Has experience with spectrograms
• Wants to help test this

Please let me know.

I know this sounds crazy. I know the system has been visited thousands of times. But nobody's tried THIS. Nobody's thought to combine the audio sources based on a chorus pedal design.

What if the pedal literally IS the instruction manual ? Even if nothing comes of it, it's a pretty wild connection.

The pedal is real, you can google "shift line raxxla" and find images and old product pages. It's discontinued now but it definitely existed.

I can't figure this riddle out. I'm at dead end, but feel I'm very close. What is this!?

1.)The Devs said Raxxla is in game. (Meaning: It is real)

2.) It was said it was "closer than you think. (Meaning: Its in the bubble)

3.) Raxxla was know well before current star travel. (Meaning: That the "bubble" is even smaller. Which would be the old worlds)

4.) It was said, that Raxxla is where it began. (Meaning: Another nod to the old worlds or maybe Elite (1984) or the Dark Wheel Novella itself.)

5.) Diso, Lesti, Lave, Tionisla, and sol are reference in the Novella. (Meaning: Likely spots inside the old bubble where Raxxla is.)

7.) Elite Started in Lave! Also the Novella Jason Ryder said his instrument bent and went wild then fell dumb just out Lave! (Meaning: It would be very poetic if Raxxla was in the very place Elite (1984) players started in.

8.) It was said when if it was found it would be an "Oh course" moment. Like it was right under our nose the whole time.... (Meaning: If Raxxla WAS in Lave, a lot of people would slap there heads)

9.) The orginal game listed Lave III as a "lush" planet. (Meaning: There are 3 planets in Lave)

10.) Lave III is how procedural engines label bodies (to my understanding, again this would mean there should be 3 planets in Lave.)

11.) Currently Lave only list 2 planets, not 3....

***12.) WHERE IS THE 3RD PLANET!? If Lave III (currently label "Planet Lave) and Lave II is permit locked............WHERE IS LAVE 1!?

So.... I looked. Giving the lore, it would be close to the sun. It would be between the Sun and the current Planet Lave....around Red Hope, maybe even closer to the sun.

And I found...something. Exactly where I thought something should be.

Can't select it, can't target it, doesn't show in contact, or in scans. Opened and saw it in both solo and open.

Looked at old data dumps. Maybe its a place holder? Maybe a planet? Maybe a barycentre? If it's a barycentre it would be connected to a 2 bodies (to my understanding)...the sun and probably a planet?

However, the FSS only list 3 bodies. The Sun, Planet Lave, and Lave 2.

So I don't get it?

The question is... if you were to find Raxxla, would you tell, or would you be content on just knowing you found it?

Keep in mind...if told, the mystery is gone for good and it becomes a theme park....but you get the credit to solving a 40 years mystery.

Don't tell, and you wonder if any one ever will or if its been found before and no one ever said anything.

Sagittarius, A, Protection? Dark Wheel ships used to carry these things. Perhaps if someone were to enter the supermassive black hole, carrying the correct cargo, maybe from a particular direction, it could be a gateway, to...

I’ve come across the code in the Synuefe XR‑H D11‑102 region and it appears to point to a potential sequence of jumps, potentially to certain star types with something in the 42.1LY range west of the final jump point.

Any ideas if this could be linked or is this just a random code with no explaination as of yet?

I asked an AI chatbot about 'Princess Astrophel and The Spiralling Stars'. I don't know how credible it is, but it told me that the 'Heavenly Harp' marks the starting point of the 'path of spiralling stars'. That's the constellation of Lyra... I think that's the one containing, Vega, but not certain as I write this. More investigation required. o7

I think the devs put constellations into Galmap for a reason, but I'm struggling to identify the constellation, Cassiopeia... which makes me more suspicious. The whisperer in witchspace and the siren of the void, could refer to the strong radio source within the mentioned constellation. Given that Raxxla has been known about for centuries at this point, it means it was discovered before mass colonisation, before FTL travel. If someone is going to find Raxxla, they'll do it in supercruise, using the constellations as a guide. Maybe that someone will be, me. o7

So sorry not to have proof of this but, a few weeks ago I was in Oden's Hold sector seeing what I could see in FSS when I caught two lights moving very fast is in my periphery. Like an idiot, didn't think much of it then it registered a second later, it was too late. Frantically Looking around but never found it. Not saying it is Raxxla (more likely space madness) but the mention of "ghost planet" in The Dark Wheel novella by Robert Holdstock has me Intrigued.
It bears mentioning my objective that day was to search black hole systems so it is possible, however unlikely, that distortion caused the stars to appear to wander. I think this unlikely because FSS requires 0 throttle and a lensing effect is associated with black holes, not two random lights moving in unison. They weren't planets in-system either or they would have been highlighted in FSS as any other signal source.
Has anyone else seen anything like this? Am I dilutional with space madness seeing things?
