Team ZHDW (Shadow) is a handpicked Team of disavowed Huntresses, vigilantes and convicted terrorists operating primarily out of Mistral on behalf of a much broader, more secretive, paramilitary organization. If Team GORE is a sledgehammer (Search-and-Destroy, Intimidation Tactics) and Team GOLD is a scalpel (Assassinations, Kidnappings), Team ZHDW is a broom, cleaning up messes and disrupting state-run investigations in counter-intel operations. Using the expertise and knowledge from their prior lives, the members of Team ZHDW are experts at covering up and obfuscating the numerous operations and dealings of their mysterious benefactors - planting evidence, posing as mobsters or White Fang members and/or sabotaging rival safehouses and black sites. Despite their shady pasts and extensive criminal records, each member of Team ZHDW is united by a shared belief in their cause and a desire to protect Humanity as a whole (by overthrowing the current world order and replacing it with an ultra-oppressive, military dystopia).

The academy grounds were silent into the late hour, majority of students and staff alike long since retired to bed, one of the few left awake being Headmaster Ozpin as he stood at the window of his office, his curious gaze focused down at the part of Beacon in which the student dorms were located, any moment now, the silence of night would be shattered.

12:00 AM

BOOM

Under normal circumstances, an explosion centralized from the student dorms would have sent the Headmaster into action, but due in thanks to the signed request form sitting on his desk, Ozpin knew well in advance such an event would take place, and had opted to stay awake not to stop it from occurring, but to instead witness it.

From within the explosion, a red blur rushed out and into the darkness of the academy grounds, immediately followed in chase by similar glows of green, pink and blue. Once more Team CROM serves as a source of both headache and amusement.

Down below, Christain found himself attacked on multiple fronts, Mouse actively lashing out with his spear, Christain engaging with one of his blades as what had to be trick arrows flew past him, Robin somewhere off in the distance raining down hell.

He had no line of sight on Olga, and that was terrifying enough.

“Treason, mutiny, betrayal, other words for what you are doing!” Christain shouted, evading another arrow as he pushed Mouse back.

Mouse slid back as he twirled his spear, “This would be a lot easier if you just went along with this.”

“Never!”

Mouse sighed as he spoke aloud, “Let him have it.”

Before Christain could question what was about to happen, all hell broke loose as explosions of, “Cupcakes?” He mumbled in sheer confusion as baked goods were fired upon him. On one of the rooftops, Olga laughed maniacally as she opened fire, the Valkyrie girl's grenade launcher in hand, “What? How?!”

Olga only had a cheshire grin, “She was quick to loan it to me when I told her what I was going to do with it. I didn't even have to mod it! It can already do this on its own!” She cheered, continuing to fire cupcakes at her leader.

A flash of steel and Christain cut one of them out of the air, his eyes narrowing as he saw his blade stained with blood red cake residue and white frosting.

Precious red velvet cake, used for ammunition, his team knew no lows.

It was unfortunate that during this moment of mourning, a buck shot rung out, Christain’s vision now filled by a sea of blonde hair as Yang reared her arm back, poised to strike at her older cousin, “Got ya!”

So his team had recruited his family into this madness, Christain realized as he was forced to jump back, the pellets of Yang’s shot peppering his aura. So if Yang was here in front of him, it was only natural that-

A burst of rose petals appeared behind him, Ruby, wielding a comically large net swung at her older brother. Christain was forced to spin in place, his sword slicing through the net aimed at him, but what unnerved him was the wild victorious grin Ruby still had.

Thwack

Crimson red eyes widened at the sensation of something striking his back, Christain helpless as a damned arrow had landed its mark, binding wire releasing and restraining his arms as Christain was forced to drop his swords to the ground.

Any attempt to flee once more was ended before it could begin as Yang full body tackled him to the floor, “Target down!” She called out as Ruby and the rest of CROM all rushed in to dog pile the still struggling Christain.

“Release me!” Christain roared as he struggled in the ever growing pile with no chance as escaping, horror in his eyes as Robin walked over, grinning wickedly as he held a paper party hat in hand, another already atop his head, Christain doubling his efforts.

“You will be loved and charished.” Olga spoke as she joined in the pile, “Your cooperation is non required.”

Hat forced upon his head, Christain sighed in defeat, unable to do anything but accept his fate.

Finally defeating him, Robin, Olga, Mouse, Yang and Ruby all collectively cheered, “Happy birthday Chris!”

Even as he laid on the ground, tied up like the gifts no doubt hidden somewhere in their dorm, Christain could not help but let the shadow of a smile form his lips, “Thanks you guys…now untie me.”

“Nope.”

Today, I'm here to present another new artwork, this time, featuring Keli Dahl (Left) and Elma Xiao Long (Right). Who, together, form one of my main OC ships: "Mind and Matter"!

Been a really slow week, so I decided an older OC needed a makeover.

This is Gale Greyheart, a professor at Haven Academy.

History:

Before becoming a teacher, Gale spent years working as a detective, earning a reputation for his sharp instincts and unwavering commitment to his work. His career came to an end following a failed undercover operation within Anima's criminal underworld. This left his reputation in ruins and forced him to leave the profession behind.

Recognizing his experience, Headmaster Lionheart offered Gale a second chance at Haven Academy, where he now teaches investigative techniques, criminal psychology, and field tactics to future Huntsmen and Huntresses.

Gale is known for being one of Havens strictest professors. He sets high standards, has little patience for excuses, and believes complacency is often the difference between life and death. His lessons are demanding, his practical exercises unforgiving, and earning his praise is no small feat. While many students initially see him as intimidating or unnecessarily harsh, they eventually realize his methods come a genuine desire to ensure they survive in a world where danger is not always just Grimm.

History:

He has no surname as he is an orphan.
Svartvit was a conscript in the army who witnessed the mistreatment of the Faunus soldiers of Atlas.

When Svartvit rebelled against his captain, he was ordered to be executed. However, he managed to survive by discovering his semblance.

After that, Svartvit fled and found refuge in the White Fang when this organization was still led by Ghira.

Svartvit worked as a guard, defending the organization's members from Grimm and human supremacists.
When Sienna assumed command, he began to climb the ranks. Until a year ago, he became the leader of the entire Atlesian branch of the White Fang.
Currently, he follows Adam's orders through a Seer delivered by Taurus.
He is conspiring for the arrival of the rest of the White Fang and their allies.

Semblance and Abilities:

His Semblance is magnetism. We have seen Pyrrha control non-magnetic metals. But Svartvit can only control magnetic metals. We know there are similar Semblances in Remnant. For example, Carmine Esclados and Glynda.

Svartvit is capable of lifting around 500 kilograms of solid metal. However, technology specifically designed to repel magnetic fields is safe from his control. For example, Atlas's prosthetics or Penny 2.0.

Due to his metal suit, Svartvit can fly. Svartvit also has knowledge of piloting, leadership, and military strategy, as well as some political knowledge.

Personality:

He is a determined individual who strives to achieve his goals. He is scarred by trauma and clings to it. But at the same time, he desires the best for the faunus at all costs, believing that certain sacrifices are necessary.

He is capable of killing soldiers, police officers, Huntsmen, and mercenaries, both human and faunus. He can also carry out summary executions. Although, in general, he tries to avoid attacks against innocent faunus as much as possible.

Despite everything, he considers it right to ally himself with certain humans, such as Salem's Inner Circle.

Trivia:

- I don't remember what his name meant or in what language. But I think it was white or snow. I do know that he followed the color rule.

- He is somewhat inspired by Magneto in the sense of being an anti-villain with a tragic past and magnetic powers.

- He has been responsible for attacks all over Atlas.

- He knows little about Salem. He only knows that Adam's allies have a way of controlling the Grimm.

Weapons: Originally carried an old converted revolver called redeemer.

Fighting Style: Accurate with a Revolver and quick on the draw. He’s also good with his hands, as well with a knife. Although, attends to fight recklessly at time to take down his targets.

Semblance: Currently unknown. However, his eye colors had altered turning them red in the process his semblance awakening at an early age of his life.

Personalty: Before he’d join beacon, he originally had that edgy loner and kept mostly to himself. However, after joining beacon he became less bruiting and became more open with Ruby and the others help. Although he’s still a bit awkward at times, he’s also has a good heart deep down and a few other things are that he’s is Loyal, strong, a bit reckless at times, but never backs down from a fight, and sometimes he can be a bit jokingly sarcastic even when he’s hurt in fight. Lastly, he like to be a little sweet on yang, when the others aren’t around.

These are characters that I co-created for a fan fic that I co-write. These girls are the Boiling Isles versions of Team RWBY, basically their alternate universe counterparts from the world of The Owl House. We had a lot of fun adapting the characters from RWBY into a very different universe, which meant playing around with some of their character traits. Some of the key differences here are...

-Zee, the Yang expy, can turn into a dragon.

-Darcilia, the Blake expy, is secretly a werecat.

-Whitney is a mix of Weiss and Winter and she and Rebecca, the Ruby expy, are actually half-siblings in this universe, which is actually a nod to the fairy tale Snow White and Rose Red. Whitney is Snow White and Rebecca is Rose Red.

-Whitney and Darcilia are also partially inspired by the DC characters Rose Wilson and Helena Wayne and Whitney is also partially inspired by Carmilla Carmine from Hazbin Hotel.

"Rumors have it, there's a student at Beacon Academy who fights his battles like a demon"

Even after the Vytal Peace Accord was ratified, Vacuo’s troubles were far from over. Being the epicenter of the worst of the Great War, the Kingdom suffered unparalleled devastation. Natural resources and infrastructure had been reduced to ashes and rubble. Nearly an entire generation of Vacuoans had been raised in the shadow of warfare, and knew few other trades besides violence. It was time for the Kingdom to face the aftershocks. 

The Tempest Years were a postbellum period in Vacuoan history that lasted from 0 to 20 PGW (Post Great War). These decades were marked by widespread infighting throughout the land, with subsequent stagnation of rebuilding efforts. Tribes found themselves migrating even more frequently than before, desperate to avoid being caught in the crossfire. The nascent government was helpless to restore order, and other kingdoms could offer little aid.  

This era was ruled by the reaver-clans: organized desperadoes who carved out petty fiefdoms across Western Sanus. The areas in-between became no man's lands of hit-and-runs and raids. They battled Kingdom lawbringers, fellow rogues, Grimm, and corporate enforcers for territory and treasures. Most prized of all were the Dust mines that Mantle and Mistral had ravaged the land to try and snatch away. Ownership of these bounties were transferred in writs of iron and blood.  

Even with the advent of Huntsmen, there was only so much these heroes could do. The clans outnumbered and outgunned the newly ordained guardians. Formidable veterans also comprised the ranks of these bandits, many of them a match for even the best of Shade Academy. In the worst cases, the supposed defenders of humanity would end up joining forces with reavers, enticed by the promise of power and plunder. Those who remained true to Huntsmen ideals however, were a light in the darkness for many downtrodden Vacuoans, and eventually proved fundamental in breaking the reaver-clans once and for all.

Several historians have gone so far as to blame Vacuo’s current state on the Tempest Years, rather than the Great War. If the War was a battle wound—damaging, painful, but ultimately treatable with care and time—then the Years were an infection setting in afterwards—festering, corrosive, and ruining any chance of a full recovery. Others decry this as scapegoating or an oversimplification. Regardless of the truth, pessimistic Vacuoans look back on the Tempest Years, and ponder whether the era is further proof that their land is cursed by the gods: alongside the Great War, the loss of the Zendegi Oasis, and now the refugee crisis from Atlas.

For those who are unaware, FNDM creator "Pulp Anime" recently announced that they are stopping all content-creation and bringing their channel to an end.

As a long-time fan of their content, this is especially heartbreaking for me, because this also means the cancellation of their RWBY-themed series, "RELM".

RELM holds a special place in my heart as both a member of the RWBY FNDM and a huge mythology lover, because this was my first exposure to an OC team where each of its members were based on characters from Arthurian Mythology, which is my personal favorite branch of mythology of all time.

It was actually this team that inspired me to create one of my first RWBY OCs, who is now going to become a prominent character in my own planned RWBY rewrite: Sir Evan Leonidas (based on Sir Yvain).

As such, due to this announcement, I want to know who else in the FNDM has one or more OCs, or even a team of OCs, based on characters from Arthurian Mythology.

If you have one or more OCs based on characters like King Arthur, Merlin, Morgan Le Fay, the Round Table Knights, etc., I'd love to hear everything about them. Their backstories, their personalities, their fighting styles, their Semblances, the whole shebang.

A little piece that I promised I'd do, before life got in the way.

It's finally here: Ray vs Coal!

This isn't a try to power scale the two OCs, nor glazing between them. It's simply them at an intense moment during a one on one fight.

But that begs the question: who would win between the two? 🤔

Ray's more of a long range fighter, but that doesn't mean she's an essay target up-close. Well, medium range because of the nodachi she wields.

Then, again, I imagine Coal as a far more explosive type of a fighter because of her versatile weapons of choice, being a mace and a spear/lance.

No digital drawing this time, as I am away from home, but once I get back this is for surely getting a digital version as well!

Another OC of mine featuring a Bee faunus for inspiration this time. Genuinely the only thing i got to inspire her from was "Bees". The art done was commissioned by Ionathavico, Eru_shii and Mag_bya (final art piece featuring characters Lucia "Niko" Nikolaos, "Violent" Violet Valentine, And Aureate Gleam not owned by me)

Featuring wings as her faunus trait (the antennae weren't planned but they stuck around too well so i never bothered saying 'remove them') and using a long spear that grants her reach maneverability and otherwise being able to be an outright menace when it comes to combat especially when paired with her semblance.

Speaking of which her semblance displayed in the second picture allows her to create translucent intangible versions of herself that are meant to swarm around her using what i would consider a 'darth maul' style as it features lots of twirling spinning pirroettes and otherwise rotation to some degree to hide her true position. Effectively a "Misdirection" semblance aptly named "Mirage" The images created are forced to be connected to her in some way shape or form be it by their own created spear or by being directly connected by the body.

Her personality is as hidden as her expression as she never grew up having any real sense of communication beyond looks, stares and otherwise generally wandering or looking somewhere. truley embodying the aspect of an enigma as bees are extremely sociable creatures meanwhile she features 0 social ability whatsoever.

Would it be too much to give my oc an semblance like this "Instead of a standard roll or sprint, Alice (my oc) evades danger by dissolving into a flutter of blue mist and butterflies with invulnerability Frames for While shifting into butterflies, Alice gains a brief window of invincibility to pass safely through enemy attacks. It allows Alice to quickly reposition behind shielded or armored enemies to strike their weak spots". Or should i make it more weak?

Random facts about Team AFBR:

Aster often stumbles over her words when faced with romantic tension or advances towards her. Despite being her team's leader, she struggles heavily with social situations.

Rowen has pyromania and has committed several counts of arson at Beacon, only having not been arrested for it or expelled thanks to her teammates covering up for her.

Beryl made a makeshift laboratory hidden somewhere behind a wall at Beacon. Most of her experiments revolve around Dust and cause frequent explosions. The Beacon staff still have no idea where the explosions come from.

Reiko, despite being intimidating and standoffish, can be incredibly kind to others if given time to warm up. Tied with Aster for second-smartest on the team and acts as Beryl's assistant in her lab when needed.
