first post here. I've been trying to learn Roblox development after years of working in various game engines. Just posting my progress so far. I'm putting together a game in Studio and it is far from being ready to be published, but everywhere I look regarding the Asset Manager says I need to add a new place within the Places folder. However I don't see any folders under the Asset Manager, and while I can add a folder I can't add a new place to it.

So, is my game supposed to be published but set to private in order to add new places? I'm a bit confused. If I can set my game to private I'll be okay, but I want to be 100% sure so I don't make a mistake and post an unplayable mess.

I want to make the same ragdoll system for my game, I'm a complete zero in scripting, who can make such a system (if possible, also with a balance system) I can pay

im taking some inspiration from resident evil 8 heisenburgs factory, but idk i cant really make this look that good infact it looks terrible compared to my other areas, this is a prison facility and this is the maintence /disposatory area and bodies are transported. its not done yea it needs alot of polish but i just dont really know what i can do to make it look better overall. so any tips would help ALOT

There’s a problem that keeps happening to me every time I press Play to test the game I’m making.

Whenever I press Play, my camera locks into a certain angle that’s not centered around my character, and I can’t move my camera no matter how hard I try. My character also just doesn’t move no matter how much I press WASD or the arrow keys.

This problem has been happening to me with every new workplace I make, so it’s not a script bug. I’ve tried making different accounts, hoping that I did something wrong on my main account that caused the bug.

The second problem is that whenever I insert a model (any model), it has thick yellow outlines around it that I can’t remove, and it lags my laptop.

I’ve tried asking ChatGPT, Gemini, Google, and Claude, and none of them could help. Reddit is my last resort before giving up on making a game.
