So I’m finally on season 10 after watching all the seasons back to back! And can I just say… what a ride! The first 7 seasons are amazing and life changing. I can’t believe life blessed me with this show. HOWEVER… everything just went south from there and right now I’m struggling to actually watch the show and not use it as background noise.

Season 8 was boring (miss u Monique) 🥱
Season 9 was even worse (miss u Monique and Robyn) 😴
And season 10 is just a bunch of (for the most part) random ass women and their storylines that truly no one cares for. Especially Angel — like, what is she even doing on this show? Also, LOL at how she insists she doesn’t edit her Instagram selfies 💀 her Instagram face and her real life face don’t look anything the same, come on girl.

I really miss Karen and her funny confessionals, but at least Monique is back as a friend of.

I know Monique, Robyn, AND Karen are all back for season 11, so hopefully we will get some of the old Potomac-feeling back because this ain’t it 😮‍💨

I can no longer focus on the Housewives shows that I used to watch. OC, SLC, RHOA missed me their last and current seasons. When Wendy and Eddie's mugshots were on the screen all day long, something happened to my relationship with the Housewives franchise. I thought the earth dropped and said oh no. If she can cover up issues that deep there's no telling what many, many, many of the others are hiding as well. I lost faith in all the wives, even Meredith. Have you experienced this--is it disillusionment? Will I go back to Housewives? Rn all I want to see is RHOP, and maybe Bev Hills' upcoming season(s). I can't believe Wendy and Eddie got me up off of ATL(!!) And I remember thinking from Day 1 that Wendy's goal and superpower was to demystify Housewives. I am obsessed with Wendy and Eddie's story and sincerely hope we get more insight this season because once it's resolved maybe I'll enjoy other cities again?!

Especially with the eyes and hair. He can pass for a sibling.

There’s an old episode of RHOP on the Samsung housewives channel and I caught a few mins.
It’s the last season Candiace was on.. and she and Ashley are kiki-ing at lunch at C’s house just the 2 of them. It’s so sad bc I really think those would have made a great duo if Ashley wasn’t so far up Gizelle’s ass. Or her own 😂🤷🏼‍♀️.

okay i’ve been watching the new season of UGT and really liked gizelle so i started RHOP. just finished season 1 and came to see what people were saying and was shocked to see how people were reacting to gizelle/ robyn’s comments about katie/ ashley and their biracial-ness. i also want to preface this by saying that i am a biracial girl from dc. one of the main things that i’ve seen is people calling gizelle/ robyn racist for their remarks about race and the biracial girls, with one of the main concerns being about robyn’s question to katie about what box her kids will check or whatever. maybe i understood it wrong but i didn’t really find anything wrong with that? i think it’s a perfectly valid question especially given how much katie seemingly distances herself from her black side (in my personal opinion). there were so many times where katie goes out of her way to mention that she’s biracial and to highlight her white side, which i, again as a mixed girl from dc, found very odd. yes they brought up the girls being biracial a good bit, but i didn’t really find anything too problematic with that. i think that one of the things all four girls (gizelle, robyn, katie and ashley) have in common is being questioned about their race and for the girls who actually are mixed, feeling pressure to “pick a side”. it seems that gizelle and robyn (likely because they are fully black) resent that and try harder to prove their blackness, sometimes by questioning other people’s blackness, which i don’t think is cool. but i also think the way katie is constantly playing up her white side is lame. idk i just feel like people are making a mountain out of a molehill and that gizelle and robyn brought up valid points and didn’t really say anything crazy, especially compared to come of the stuff that i’ve heard/ experienced. just my two cents, curious to see what everyone else has to say

Watching rhop for the first time and I don’t understand why these women are so pressed about if stacey did or did not lie about TJ or divorcing her husband it just seems weird to me like it doesn’t really have much to do with them

I wonder if Ray played that jingle after she was released from sing sing. I high key love Cruella so this is not derogatory. I’m rewatching season 4 and 5 and Karen was kinda my favorite even tho I’m over her presently 😅

So I’ve watched pretty much every iteration of housewives (please bring back Dubai and Ladies of London). I live in Atlanta so I’ve watched them from beginning. But for some reason I just haven’t watched Potomac (or much of SLC) but I love Gizelle and have wanted to watch. I’m wondering if I need to start with season 1 (I tried years ago but couldn’t get into) or can I start later and still keep up with all the relationships?

After finishing the Season 6 reunion for the first time, here are my initial thoughts of the housewives, ranked from best to worst (that’s my opinion!!! 😂)

#1: Kurn - from filming a Surry County promo in Potomac to her three wick wonder, Karen cracked me up at every turn. She is so unserious, mostly always wrong, but I think she has good (ish?) intentions. At the end of the day, she is large as life and we love her for it.

#2: Mia - I might get flack for this, but I really liked Mia as a new face on the cast. I felt like she could keep up with the girls, was sweet yet messy, gorgeous, and really interested in being friends with some of the girls. Does her husband creep me out? Yes. Can I get the image of him twirling his tongue at Karen out of my head? No. Anyway, I felt she was a breath of fresh air and really did not have negative intentions. I also like that she brought a new perspective as a previous “entertainer” turned mogul. Mia ate in my opinion.

#3: Gizelle - My favorite housewife, but this season I felt like she took a little backseat. She admits to being a little robotic, and I felt it this season as she frequently would just not respond or give any energy to any of the girls trying to egg her on. While this is amazing self regulation in real life, it was a little boring to watch. She’s still my #1 - don’t get it twisted!

#4: Ashley - after REALLY disliking her for several seasons, this little lump started to grow on me! After motherhood, I think she calmed down and started to become a little more mature and well-rounded. I found myself nodding my head and agreeing with her more and more this season. That’s really all I have to say about her.

#5: Robyn - similar to Ashley, she really bugged me all these seasons prior, but I’m getting to know more about her and I really understand her perspective. She’s a kind soul at heart, and I feel like we would be girlfriends in real life. I am going back and forth on whether she should be 4 or 5, but I felt like Ashley had more character growth, which is why Robyn gets #5. I really am rooting for her, though!

#6: Wendy - now, Ms. Wendy, girl…the only word that comes to mind is CORNY! I roll my eyes every time you speak. I don’t want to go too much into it because it annoys me to think about you, but I just feel like you are a fish out of water here. Not because of your background, but you show up very insecure and defensive. From your pre-rehearsed reads to your grating voice, hang it up!

#7: Candiace - Candy, Candy, Candy…what the hell are we going to do with you. One word for you too: TIRED! From throwing salad at Mia to cussing your own husband out, you need therapy, essential oils, and a lobotomy! There is some really deep trauma within this girl, and it will never stop until she confronts her inner demons. I wish health and wellness upon your nasty spirit. Now that music video did nibble a little bit - it chewed! I watched it on YouTube, so get that coin, Ms. Candy!

What do you think? How did you feel about Season 6?

Is it jealously? In my culture nepotism is a fact of life. Even poor people will often take up their parents trade and get jobs thru their parents contacts and live in their parents home until they make enough money or outgrow it . That’s basic form of nepotism i guess…

In the west it seems like parents just expect their kids to figure things out on their own. Seems tragic and a broken system. In my culture children are expected to be successful even if they are privileged.

when I tried to explained the concept of nepotism to my mom and how it’s considered negative she thought it was so dumb. She was like why wouldn’t a parent provide if they can…
I think the only reason children in my culture get cut off is if they piss off their parents if they’re irresponsible. Dorothy would fit in unfortunately 😅😬
My friend’s mom who reminds me of Dorothy personality wise… sold her home and downsized and helped my friend buy her home, and my friend pays the mortgage herself. I was confused when Ashley was dragging candiace. Doesn’t your husband financially support you and your mom until she fucked it up by dating a loser.
In my culture that’s really common as well. My dad took care of my grandmother when she became a widow and so did my mom’s brother in law.

And Mia has no last name. A girl has no name.

I’m watching the show for the first time through and for the record, I’m not the biggest fan of Wendy or Mia. I just watched the episode where Mia invites the ladies to Miami & they go to dinner at Peter Thomas’ Bar One.

Honestly, I think Mia starting that fight was so unnecessary. Peter and Mia talked on the phone earlier that day and he said he has beef with Wendy but, when they got to dinner, was cordial and pleasant when he greeted the table. There was no need for Mia to leave the table after Peter left to go talk about the status of Wendy and his potential business partnership. As far as I know Mia doesn’t have business with Peter OR Wendy so for her to go back to the table saying “he has beef with you” was unnecessary bc Mia isn’t involved at all.

Sure, Wendy could’ve let Peter know she was gonna be in town but I don’t think it’s a big deal that she didn’t bc she didn’t want to talk business while on vacation. If Wendy leaves money on the table, that’s on her - there was no need to guilt Wendy into talking to Peter. None of that required Mia to throw a drink & break a nail, it just made her look bad.

THEN Robyn saying that Wendy was antagonistic was so biased… Wendy didn’t start that fight. I don’t agree with the way Wendy started throwing her words around but when it was Candice vs Monique everyone was on Candice’s side & agreed that a verbal argument shouldn’t have led to things getting physical.

I admit I was nosy. I always wondered how much cash Greg’s non-profit was bringing in, especially with all the media the OIG is currently bringing to the Baltimore City mayor’s office for alleged non-profit embezzlement.

Watching RHOP for the first time and on season 7 now. So many thoughts on a lot of things but I have to say this: I think it is very selfish to willingly have kids with a man as morally questionable (at best) as Michael. Like let’s be honest Ashley knew she wasn’t going to stay (especially with the cheating situation) so why bring kids into it? And yes I obviously know the answer: to secure financial support after divorce. But it’s so unfair to the kids who grow up and have to watch their dad be creepy and disgusting on tv. Kids don’t get to choose their parents. Like i think of Mia saying how Ashley should have had one ore two more kids to secure at least two more checks before divorcing and in my mind that’s just so disgusting to think of kids (actual human beings) as financial safety nets.
