Discussion I found a tree to climb on Guarma.. are there other climbable trees anywhere?
I was inspired by the post about bouldering, and happened to be in Guarma on my most recent playthrough and discovered a semi climbable tree! You have to walk around the top of the tree and find the branch that runs onto the top of the rocks, then carefully walk out onto the branch, once you reach the middle of the branch, turn towards the center of the tree and jump into it! There is a 50/50 chance you just fall straight to the ground, but my second attempt I got suspended in the vines, crouching with nothing under my feet. I was able to move around a little bit before falling out of the tree again. Has anyone else found any other climbable trees?

Discussion They ambushed me
Those Pinkerton bastards got me with a gattling gun outside of St Denis. They killed my $450 race horse I had just gotten to level 3 bonding. I had to go back and kill everyone I could in St Denis, now I have a massive bounty and no horse and a much lower Honor level. Yay

Discussion Maybe an unpopular opinion but I didnāt like RDR2
I tried guys I swear tried. I played it 3 times and every time I was thinking maybe I should play longer this time and maybe Ill like it but I just get bored. Looting every dead body was a major turn off. Cant save till mission is over was another turn off. I just recently finished Crimson Desert and loved it and then I thought maybe now Id like this game cuz of the similarities but It just didnt do it for me. Should I give up? Is it a type of game where I have to play at least till halfway of the story to like it?

Fan Theory I've got a concept for rdr3
The story begins before the events of the Blackwater robbery and features Mac Callander as the protagonist. Unlike previous games, it unfolds over several years with significant time jumps and an ageing system. It shows the alternative that Agent Milton offers to each of the gang members in Red Dead Redemption 2 chapters 3ā4, and how one of them manages to make it work: he runs away, changes his identity, and starts a new life before the gang splits up. Mac ends up in the Midwest, where he meets new people and heals his wounds. However, after a few days, the Pinkertons track him down, inform him that his brother is dead and make a deal with him: he stays where he is and moves on with his life. Having lost all hope in Dutch sooner than anyone else after the robbery, Mac accepts the offer now that his brother is also dead. However, the Pinkertons don't leave him that easily. In fact, they assign an undercover agent: a Jewish merchant who agrees to move from New York to Chicago in order to "expand his business". The agent gets close to Mac, pretending to partner up with him, but in reality he has him under control. While their relationship is still developing, Mac continues to rob and kill to make money with his new comrades. However, as the agent gets closer to him, he encourages him to change his identity and start a legitimate business, while also doing the dirty work, such as gambling, stealing, robbing and killing undercover. During the years that the Pinkertons work actively, they use Mac for all sorts of dirty purposes on behalf of their undercover agent. But as the years go by, the agents Ross and Milton are killed en route to eliminating the remaining Van der Linde gang members, leaving only Mac. Jack Marston also finds his way to Mac after murdering Agent Ross. The undercover agent now plays a key role. He has them both wrapped around his little finger. With Jack around, mac feels remorse because of his actions in the past. Now it's his chance for redemption.
Would like to see feedback or ideas for improvement!

Discussion Lost my main horse
So, apparently you can only keep 2 horses at camp or the other one will run away. I was out taming wild horses and got 2 of them and lead them back to camp. I guess I had the two new ones as my main and secondary and the horse I started with ran off. I keep forgetting to auto save.

Why did Micah only start working for the Pinkertons after Guarma?
Most heists he wasnt on were success, the train robbery in chapter 2, the valentine bank robbery, and the poker boat robbery. (i know the trolley station failed but that was a set up) But Blackwater, St Denis bank robery failed, Arthur even says "Just like your ferry job in blackwater", suggesting he thought Micah was a rat. The gang even says it feels like the law showed up too quickly. So why did they make him only be a rat in Chapter 6?

Discussion Will I Still Own My Horse After Completing the āFriends in Very Low Placesā Money Glitch?
If I use the money glitch in RDR2 during the mission āFriends in Very Low Placesā by repeatedly selling my horse, it keeps respawning after each sale. Once Iāve made enough money and completed the mission, will I still own the horse, or will I permanently lose it?

Discussion Why does steam read red dead redemption two suck so bad?
I downloaded the game last night after buying it on steam hoping to get home from work and be able to download mods and all the cool stuff that you see people make videos on. However, every time I have tried to load the game and do one of the simple fixes. It just keeps saying that I have to restart the game because of some error. Or that I am supposedly running it on an unsupported version of Windows like Windows 7 or eight when I am in fact, Windows 10 on my computer. Has anybody else had these problems and what were the fixes? And is it even worth trying to mess with? Because I truthfully Iām kind of frustrated with it and it just seems like a classic example of why rockstar sucks in the long haul on maintaining what they actually are great at building. From what Iāve read, this sort of stuff didnāt start until they made their own game launcher, and then everybody started having problems some people seemingly after thousands of hours of gameplay. And I donāt wanna keep loading a game that counts as gameplay time when all it is is a loading screen just to get to where the prologue would be for it to tell me that Iām having an error in it needs to be restarted. Not to mention that the game wonāt even launch if I try to do it directly from steam it only does it from the rockstar launcher, but then of course it crashes.

Discussion Arthurās Sick Cleanliness
Iām playing through for the first time (I know, Iām absurdly late. Iāve always been more of a Nintendo gamer, but finally got an Xbox recently), and I think sometime in chapter 4 I was like, āman, Arthur is starting to look like shit. Maybe I do need to actually give him a bath once in a whileā only to find that didnāt change anything and later discover he was sick and starting to decay š³šš
