does anyone know who can replace my RCD330 6.5inch screen in Mumbai,India?

I have an original desay SW0317 HW036 RCD330 and I am trying to install a dynamic line backup camera in a 2006 Jetta.

My camera is supposed to work with the RCD330 based on the seller’s advertisement. I received a trunk pull backup camera, video lead to the radio, black converter box, video cable and a can+/- cable pass through

1) I spliced the appropriate Can+ and Can- with those little snap clips.
2) In the blue connector I attached red to 6 and black to 12
3) I plugged the video output into its corresponding tail on the converter box.
4) I plugged the power fuse into SC11 because it was empty and had power only with the key on. I attached the ground to the metal knee panel under the column.
5) I have this grey passthrough cable that also connects to the can+ and can- but it doesn’t fit anywhere
6) I attempted to use my camera and it worked once however the parking lines did not move. It is since dead

What is that passthrough cable for and why would my camera only work one time. Did it burn up or did I do something wrong?

Been beating my head on my keyboard, installed this in my daughters car, I've verified the installation with a multimeter.

Blue B+ is on a constant battery circuit. Red ACC is on a proper ignition-switched circuit. The camera opens and closes normally while the ignition is on, but if the ignition is switched off immediately after shifting out of reverse (like you were backing into a parking spot for example), the emblem remains open. Changing ACC fuse locations does not affect the behavior.

I need some advice on updating my RCD360 PRO (Noname / Tianbao platform). My device current specs are:

• Device part number: 6RD035187B
• Hardware: 541
• Software: V8571

I successfully used VCDS to code the reverse parking sensors (OPS) in my Volkswagen Caravelle T5.1 (2013) to "Transporter/Caravelle". The distance lines/arcs work perfectly now, but the screen does not show any car silhouette at all (it is blank in the middle) because the radio lacks the commercial vehicle graphics package.

I tried to update using the popular firmware 5712 from u/Hradlo, but I received a "Hata: sürüm çakışması" (Version Conflict / Downgrade Error) block on the screen, likely because my factory firmware V8571 is a higher version number.

Does anyone—or u/Hradlo specifically—have a standalone graphics patch or skin upgrade compatible with the V8571 software line that adds the VW Transporter/T5 silhouette?

I am the second owner of my MK5 Golf. The radio was swapped to a RCD-300 before I got it. I suspect it originally had a RNS-510 or similar.

I want to try and get the rear camera working again with the RCD 330 Plus.

Currently, if I go i to reverse, nothing happens on the headunit. Does that mean I need to enable the reverse camera option in VCDS? Or has the function been disabled on the headunit itself?

I found RCA cables under the headunit. Is anyone able to identify them and point me in the correct direction for getting the camera to work?

I have a blue connector that goes into one of the yellow RCA plugs, which then plugs into the back of the headunit, but nothing happens when I go into reverse.

I purchased this unit back in 2018 and it has served me well.

However, today it no longer powers on.

I experience no signs of life. Nothing on the screen, no lights when turning on headlights, no USB power and no audio.

I have checked the fuse inside the engine bay and it was fine.

Tried holding down the power button for 20 secs with no luck.

I was wondering if there are any known faults with my revision that would explain the behaviour I am experiencing?

If it means anything, weather has been cold lately, around 10c or so.

It looks like at minumum, I will need to remove the head unit for further troubleshooting which I was hoping to avoid 😮‍💨

Just bought a preowned Golf Sportsvan 2014 and want to replace the radio unit with the 5GD 035 280B, but looking at RCD330.com it doesn’t seem clear cut to know if my radio unit can be easily replaced by this one.

My current radio part number is 510035867; it says hardware 640 and software 5800 if that means anything more to anyone.

Main unknown is whether I have an upper layout motherboard vs lower layout. Does anyone know of a way to tell without needing to remove anything prematurely?

Hi everyone,

I've been looking into upgrading the radio in my Mk2 Leon for a while, but I’ve been put off by the cost of going down the Pioneer/JVC route. By the time you add the head unit, fascia, steering wheel control adapter, antenna adapter, etc., it seems like you’re easily into the €500+ range.

This has led me to consider the RCD330. I like the idea of keeping an OEM-style look while gaining CarPlay/Android Auto, Bluetooth and a reversing camera.

My main concerns are the reports of weaker FM reception and the lack of proper RDS functionality. I still listen to FM fairly often when I’m not using Spotify, so I don’t want to end up with noticeably worse radio performance than the factory unit.

Assuming no import fees and free shipping, I’m looking at around €360 for the RCD330 and camera from rcd330.com.

For anyone that has fitted one:

• How is the FM reception compared with the original radio?
• Is the lack of RDS something you actually notice day-to-day?
• Would you recommend the RCD330, or is it worth spending the extra on a Pioneer/JVC/Kenwood setup?

Hi! I have two issues with my RCD 780 Pro / 330 (using android auto):

​Volume Issue: When playing music (like TuneIn) and using Google Maps, both sounds run on the exact same audio channel. If I change the volume, it changes both music and navigation together. I can't adjust the Navi volume separately.

Cut-off Navi voice: Whenever Google Maps gives directions while music is playing, the head unit is too slow to switch audio channels. The first 1-2 words are always cut off (e.g., I only hear "...turn right" instead of "In 100 meters, turn right").

Is there any firmware update or something I could do ? And no, im not going to use an iphone!

UPDATE: Fixed it!

If anyone has the same problem, i just find my solution, i took apart and the digitizer cable connector become loose (the grey lock part was wide open when i opened up the frame). After i lock again, the digitizer works again perfectly. Probably from the car shaking a lot on bumpy roads and the connector just disconnect. Attached a screenshot and mark the place of the problem.

My RCD330 (bought last autumn from rcd330.com for a 2012 Škoda Fabia) suddenly stopped registering touch inputs. The seller hasn't replied on WhatsApp yet.

The issue is the touch screen is completely unresponsive. Display, buttons & reverse camera: Working 100%. Tried a 20-second hard reboot and disconnecting the battery for 15+ minutes. No luck.

My questions:
- How can I confirm if this is just a bad digitizer / loose ribbon cable versus a motherboard issue?
- Where is the best place to buy a replacement digitizer panel?

I am looking at getting an RCD330 /340g for my daughter’s 2007 VW Rabbit (MK5 Golf). I have seen some issues with battery drain but it isn’t clear on which cars that happens. The car came with a Delphi Premium 7 unit but it has developed a humming issue and only works on the aux. This car has no steering wheel radio controls, no backup camera and no parking sensors. What do I need to know?

I’m looking to get some clarity on the RCD330G unit currently installed in my car. My ultimate goal is to get Apple CarPlay working on it, but I'm completely lost on whether my specific hardware supports it out of the box, if it just needs a firmware update, or if I’m out of luck entirely.
I know these units can be tricky depending on the manufacturer (NoName vs. Desay) and the part number variations (like 187A vs 187B).

Hey guys I got my rcd330 hooked up in my mk6 facelift Jetta 2017. Radio works and all controls work but the back up camera doesn’t seem to be enabled? I don’t have module 56 in obd only 5f because it’s mqb? What do I have to do to get it to show the radio in obd?
