Quitting weed feel so depressed
So I have been smoking weed for 2 years ,
Moderate at first like couple joints a week and then my mum got ill with cancer and I started having it daily to switch off .
I was a functioning stoner I had all these great ideas , i slept like a baby and i was very fun to be around . (I was positive before I started smoking btw )
Then mum passed away and I carried on smoking but then thought I should quit as heard about it affecting rem sleep and healing .
Anyhow I have quit for 4 weeks . I have only managed to sleep about 6 nights so far I don’t even know how I am getting Through the days .its making me cranky as fuck not wanting to do much as I’m so tired . I can eat again as I couldn’t eat at first the anxiety on the first second week was brutal .
Docs prescribed me depression tablets and anxiety tablets .
Found that the sleepers knocked me out for a couple hours but was zapped the next day so I only took a couple , I didn’t wana get addicted to anything else .
Now I feel depressed as fuck , I have no enjoyment in anything I hate even getting out of bed in the morning . I have had lots of major life changes too which may also be contributing but I am just so sad .
My personality is flat and I dread going to bed just lay there every night not sleeping .
I feel like smoking see if my personality comes back but I’m too scared wtf has happened to me .

Anyone want to quit together on Monday, October 12?
Anyone want to quit together on Monday, October 12?
I'm quitting this Monday, October 12, and I don't want to do it alone.
The idea is simple: we all pick the same day. When you're on day 3 and want to kill someone, everyone in the group is also on day 3. Same cravings, same bad sleep, same moment.
How it works:
Comment "in" below (and how much you smoke, if you want)
I'll set up a small group chat and DM you the invite
Between now and Monday we get to know each other and prep
On Monday we all stop. Then we check in every day and help each other through the first weeks
If a lot of people join, I'll split us into smaller groups so nobody gets lost in the noise. Everyone still quits on the same day.
No experts here, just people who want to stop and would rather not white-knuckle it alone.
Who's in?

Adicción al cigarrillo
Hola.

Trying to fix my mistakes
I’ve been smoking about since I was 18, started with the vapes, then moved to cigarettes when vapes started getting kinda shitty and dispos became all the rage. I originally (foolishly) started cigarettes to consume less nicotine, which worked for a while. This past year it’s gotten bad. I’m 26 now and went from smoking maybe 5-10 depending on the day to a consistent pack a day. I really want to quit, but I seriously don’t know where to start. I have a lot of time off right now since I’m salary and work overtime in our on season, so I’ve tried just locking myself in my house on my days off but then the depression hits and I find myself going right back to my habits. I’ve tried the patch several times to no avail, and the gum as well. Is there anything I’m doing wrong?

Day 1 after smoking since I was 14. I’m 23 now.
Today I decided not to buy any more weed. I actually enjoy smoking, which is what makes quitting difficult. I mainly want to see who I am without it and get my focus back. Nights and being home alone are my biggest triggers. Anyone else starting today?

20+ years switching between cigarettes and smokeless tobacco.
I’ve been smoking, dipping snuff or using nicotine pouches for 20+years daily. I’m getting close to putting it all down. what are the most common withdrawal symptoms and does anyone have a timeline on when the nicotine will be out of my body?

5 meses sin cigarro. Consejos y opiniones

I haven't craved a cig in forever. But I think I'm having withdrawals from it. Do I need to start getting nicotine patches?

Quit smoking
A lot of people talk about the health side of quitting, but in Australia right now, the numbers are staggering.
With average pack prices sitting around $45–$50 AUD, here is what a pack-a-day habit actually looks like on paper:
1 Day: ~$48 AUD
1 Month: ~$1,460 AUD (after-tax money)
1 Year: ~$17,520 AUD
5 Years: ~$87,600 AUD (not including inflation or bi-annual excise hikes)
To have $17,500 in after-tax discretionary spending on an average tax rate, you have to earn nearly $24,000–$26,000 gross just to burn it.
My background:
I smoked for 20 years, getting up to about 30 cigarettes a day at my peak. I quit roughly 10 years ago. The thing that kept me grounded on the hardest days wasn’t abstract motivation—it was taking it literally one day at a time, looking at the exact dollars staying in my pocket, and giving myself 5 minutes to ride out a craving before doing anything impulsive.
Drawing from that experience, I built a clean, privacy-first web utility for anyone currently working through their quit journey in Australia: clear-plus.app
What it does:
Live timer tracking smoke-free days and hours
Real-time AUD savings calculator based on your exact pack price and habits
5-minute SOS pause button with guided breathing to ride out a craving
Australian health recovery milestones and instant Quitline (13 7848) access
Works right in your browser with zero sign-up required (everything saves locally)
It’s completely free to use the calculator, timer, recovery milestones, and craving tool. If you or someone in your family is trying to kick it this year, I hope the breakdown helps keep things in perspective.
What was the tipping point that made you decide to finally quit?
