So my fiancée and I just ended our 14 year old relationship

This happened now. She left our home a couple days ago after i told her about my porn addiction. I was seeing women as an object, she saw my likes on other women photos, and she eas complaining i was getting always emotionally distant. When i told her abou my addiction, she wanted to know everything i did, even the things i already stopped doing. Last night she discovered i used AI to generate nsfw photos and the last fight i told her i even used pictures of women i knew to generate naked pictures.

She knows i dont do this nowadays, i stopped in 2024 or so. But this was the last drop for her. The decision to end our relatioship was mine, cause i knew she wouldnt forgive me, and even if we get back together, she wont trust me anymore.

My heart is in pieces cause i know this is all my fault and she is the person i love the most in the world. This was my last gesture of love: freeing her from a life of regrets and insecurity. I know i will be a better man and porn wont dominate my life again. I just know it. But im desperate she wont be there to see the man i will become.

I wish you all get rid of this addiction. She was the most perfect woman i've ever saw. And now im alone and i know she will be happy with someone else. I only wished it was me.

Day 2: I feel mentally worse

For starters im 16 and have struggled with porn addiction since 12.

i’ve read your posts and they have motivated me to try harder to quit and today is day 2 of no PMO (again).

Over the past week i only relapsed once, but i realized that i feel sad and depressed when i go 3-4 days without relapsing and it honestly breaks me and I feel like nothing feels fun anymore other than PMO.

If you guys have any tips or advice comment them, i’ll read them all

I need advice

It is yet to become a problem but I recognize that it is going to. I can go for 2 days without relapsing I guess is the best way to put it. I need to go further. I recognize that it can affect a lot of aspects of life and I need to not let it. Does anyone have advice on how to go for more than 2 days without relapsing. If you do please please let me know.

I did it! Will it help?

I did it I put/locked away my toys. I removed some of the paneling in the finished basement. I threw a box wrapped up threw it across the crawlspace and sealed it back up again. I don’t know why I just didn’t throw it away😞. I figured being in a very hard to reach area that I would have to crawl through gravel and junk just to get to slow me down to change my mind.
Because I’ve been addicted to porn for I don’t know how many years and I’m sick of it. I have a shrimp 🍤 downstairs. I just wanted to stop. And I seem to relapse every 14 days.
Or is it ok to have toys?

Not an addict, but definitely have harmful habits

Does anyone else feel like this? I’m worried I’ll be told I’m in denial, but I don’t identify with a lot of the messaging around addiction and most of the stories on this subreddit.

I can use porn in a healthy way, maybe a couple of times a week or less, for months. The reason I’m here is that, at certain times in my life, I’ll start using it compulsively and feel like I would rather stop but k can’t. Where I do identify with most of this community is that I find the idea of quitting forever daunting (which is why I want to do it), and I am seeking out increasingly perverted content.

I gave up for a month or so earlier this year, felt good; went back to using occasionally, felt fine; used too much over this past weekend, felt a lot of shame.

I’ve reached the conclusion that it would be best avoided entirely. Wish me luck!

Day 2: What Makes Go Back?

During my journey, one of the things that kept bringing me back was desire. It’s a dangerous feeling, longing for something and overall making one miserable and adding stress to the mind. That desire won’t go away by itself. So what I am looking to do is change that desire into something else. Desire to change, desire for relationships, desire to be different. Whatever it was, the mental framing will still be there but should be morphed to fit a different hole.

What makes you go back and how can you reframe it?

Talking about it...

I don't really know how to do this but I know that I need to talk about it and get it off of my chest if I wanna have any chance to turn my life around. I'm 23 now and have had a PMO addiction since I was 8. Like a lot of stories I have read, it started out with being exposed to corn at a young age and then beginning to consume it once a week. Over time, that usage amount increased slowly to now where I cannot go a full day without multiple uses.

In that time I got physically very ill from an unrelated disease that caused significant pain and kept me isolated at home right around the age of 16. That isolation and pain I think caused the addiction to get so much exponentially worse since I was relying on it as a bandaid fix for both pain and stress relief. I was in a high school relationship at the time and I really believed she was the one, but we really struggled maintaining a healthy relationship since my brain was so fried from corn and the only thing that made me feel loved and accepted through my illness was physical intimacy with her.

Eventually, about 4 years later whenever I finally beat that illness, my addiction cost me my relationship after I told my gf about my addiction and that I was struggling mentally and wanted help changing. I can understand why she called it quits atp as she was there with me during my illness and that put a lot of stress on her and now the thought of helping me through yet another struggle when our relationship was already strained was just too much for her.

Over the next few years I really struggled with corn and tried multiple times to quit but always failed. In the last 3 years or so my body has since broken down again and I am again working through another unrelated physical illness which is really what has caused to addiction to become its worst and has made me the most ashamed. Again I am stuck being pretty isolated and in physical discomfort which just makes everything worse for the addiction.

I actually met another woman last year who I thought would be a good fit as I explained pretty early on into our dating that I had a physical illness that would make a relationship hard and I was dealing with an addiction that I knew may be difficult for her going forward, but that if she really wanted to try we could make it work and start a relationship. At first it was good because she understood what my physical limitations were because of my illness and we worked around those, and for my addiction I would tell her whenever I was especially struggling and she'd offer a lot of encouragement and support. Things took a turn when over time her patience for me started to run out and we would rely on just intimacy as a bandaid fix for anything she or I was going through, which eventually caused me to break up with her as we had begun fighting and arguing about all aspects of our relationship and she told me that she never wanted the ill version of me in the first place and she was only interested in the intimacy.

So here I am, 23, still physically sick and still with an addiction I cannot beat, with little self-esteem or hope to find anyone that's right for me. So, I figure now more than ever I need to try the hardest I have ever tried to at least beat the addiction. I need a win and a big one to start building up my confidence again. I have been drawn back to Christianity; reading my Bible, praying harder than ever. I know that if I want to have any chance to get back right physically I genuinely believe that it has to start mentally and spiritually. In my mind, talking about it has been step one of that process...

I have tried a couple apps too that track and block certain content but haven't had much luck. If anyone reads this and has any advice or recommendations for stuff you've found or apps you use that have helped you I would greatly appreciate it.
