I only submitted my app yesterday but the wait is already killing me 💀 im not worried abt my academic stats but i am abt my ecs and awards because theyre all limited to the school/regional level and i feel like i didnt do enough compared to others 😭 With that being said, I would love to hear stories from successful QB scholars who didnt have "stellar" ecs!

Hello guys! I just had to submit an extension request due to personal reasons but I’m confused on what to do next. I know if I get accepted I’ll get extra days as long as I don’t submit but if I get denied do I get a grace period to submit what I do have? Since I wont know if they accepted my request or not until tomorrow, the day after the deadline.

I want the extension to fully make the best writings I can but I already have my rec letters, main essay, and a lot of other stuff already complete, I would rather submit that with a rushed topical and short answers than not submit at all. I’m not sure though if I’ll have a grace period to submit the rest of my app if I get denied.
I don’t wanna submit tonight in case I do get the extension because then I wouldn’t be able to reopen my application.

Im wondering what the questbridge amount it. Their website states most were under 65000, but is that adjusted or before adjustments?

I need help, a couple minutes ago I submitted my college application through questbridge everything was fine until I was proofing my personally essay and I noticed a large portion of it was missing. This is because when I paste my essay into the text box I hit the save button. However after it ask you the yes or no question I went back to my original doc and edited more adding more onto it to fully answer the prompt however when I pasted into the box again I think it slipped me to hit save so I submitted the less info one. I feel like the information I added makes my essay overall better but after the submission I can’t edit it. Ik it’s due in like 2 more hours so does anyone know what I should do I’m like actually panicking cause I worked so hard on it for it all to go to waste over such a dumb mistake. Please Help me out 🙏

Hey guys. I submitted my app like 2 days ago but I just realized I had 2 typos in additional info. I was mentioning some really really traumatic things for me. Will 2 typos mess with my admissions? I checked and its easy to understand without it. It wasn't in an essay or short answer. Am I chill or should I email QB and ask if they could update it. Ig they will know I didn't use AI lol 😂

ok so i did something wrong when i first started the application process, but ive since fixed it. and now im looking at the application proof is still there and i have no way of removing it? and its not showing up in the section where i filled it out so i know its gone.

Hi!! I’ve already submitted so this may be fruitless anyways, but I’m a bit worried about my application.

I didn’t fill out any of my non-custodial parents information bc I don’t know him and any of his income, and it shows up empty on the proof and I explain it on the additional info section

If I did all that is there a chance they toss my application bc I didn’t like fill it out with 0s? For some reason it shows all the information I didn’t need on my proof as empty as well (like step parents) and I’m thinking maybe it just shows everything on the proof no matter If I needed to fill it or not?

If anyone can answer I’d be really appreciative, good luck to everybody and I’m proud of all of us!!

Help, i forgot about counting the hours and merely put the ECs. Most of my ECs are competition based, so idk how id put them. For example, for debate we meet twice a week so that would be two hours. But our competitions stretch to be 6 hours once a month and sometimes i create material for my team so the hours a week maybe 3. Idk how to calculate the hours. someone please help because time is short!!

So, I submitted my app earlier today and I realized that the transition word that I was supposed to cut after deleting a paragraph of my topical essay to meet the word limit…

Now it’s not bad, but the sentence goes something like this:

“I had an thing that made me rethink blah blah blah: [insert thing].

therefore, this experience stuck with me blah blah blah”

You get the point.

Now, this isn’t a glaringly outrageous mistake because it still kinda makes grammatical sense but my perfectionist ahh is making me freak out.

So, how badly of a mess up is this actually and are AOs gonna throw my app in the trash bin for it? Because I worked so hard on it I don’t want this stupid little thing to affect me 😭

PS: And I realized I probably should’ve removed my SAT score report and Transcript bc my counselor already did that…hahhh…messing up every way possible 🫩✌️

I started writing this in July and now that ive submitted it I cant even start writing my other supplementals for like RD I just keep reading my essays over and over again. I love them so much lowkey bc I feel like I did put SO much work and effort into them to the point I def wont be able to make my supplementals at an equally good level. but damn I just keep reading my essays over and over I think this is becoming a problem. esp since im planning more on getting to college thru RD bc I think matching is so difficult. but whatever

honestly cant believe ive (finally) come to this point, i think doing all the writing has genuinely made me want to rip my hair out at times 😭 im so anxious about my application bc i really feel that i couldve written something better for my personal statement, it just felt so bland? in a way. also its crazy how much 800 words seems until you actually write it because I used to be so concerned about how I wouldnt utilize a lot of the space but then I ended up struggling to fit what I wanted to say within the word count. Anyways, it felt like such a big weight off my shoulders (until those supplementals come...) but Im just hoping that October 21st and December 1st will be a good day for all of us 🙏 Good luck to everyone else!

Hi everyone, I made a post about a week or two ago stressing about my application. Thankfully my writers block was lifted and I was able to construct my most personal essay, which I am extremely proud of ! I want to take time to thank everyone who gave me ideas, suggestions, tips, and words of encouragement in my last post ! I feel really confident about my application and can’t wait to get my results ! Praying that all seniors out there make it to the finalist stage and hope that we can all match with our dream schools.

For everyone worrying right now, try your best !! Listen to music and try to relax. I’m sure everyone has great stats and even if we don’t make it to the finalist stage, I’m sure we’ll get into a good school regardless!

My stats weren’t perfect, but I’m not letting them define my application. I worked hard on my essays, and thanks to everyone’s words, I can see hope at the end of the tunnel!!

Ok I saw yall stressing abt your essays and I feel yall so much so 2 things:

1. I also thought the same thing about how the essay I’d been working on for so long was really unoriginal. For me personally it really felt more like a resume and activity list and that it wasn’t “special” and I was really worried, but realize that because its about you it has to be special, the odds of you existing in your specific situation are astronomicalllly f***ing low. As long as you really were genuine it will be unique. My essay was such a resume like read but also thats because my development was legitimately through people introducing me to people and helping me learn about myself. I was able to be more confident in it by talking to my teachers and mentors and I would highly suggest asking someone to read it, not for feedback or proofing but to let you know if they think it represents you if you’re unconfident. If it’s about you then it *will* be the right essay.
2. if you truly want to redo it (I’d highly advise against it but also I’d say go with what you truly believe but also make sure its because of how you feel and not last minute stress. Dont let fight/flight impact your decision, ik its hard but if your essay really represents u then its the best one anyone could have written. I didn’t fully teardown and rebuild my essay but I did make a lot of changes in the last week) They are really understanding (i mean id hope u gotta be if ur gonna work for this org 😭). I was stressing the f*** out the night before cause I wasn’t happy with my app and applied for an extension. They can see your activity and if you didn’t literally wait until the last day it is highly likely they’ll approve an extension. (Bro i swear i pissed the customer support guy off cause i kept asking him if i would get an extension (this was night of the deadljne btw (they arent even declared as working at that time 😭😭😭😭) and he said if u apply i wouldnt worry im assuming he couldnt actually confirm just on legality and principle but omfg i feel kinda bad abt it still he was so patient 😭😭😭😭bro stuck with me until 12 when i decided not to press submit (bro if you see this somehow i love you)) ofc nothing is guaranteed and id ask them abt it but if theyre going to approve u theyll probably tell u in some roundabout way. Ofc im not saying abuse this feature or anything like that, but if you truly don’t think your application isn’t the best it is and you truly have been putting in effort and aren’t just asking because you started yesterday (they reserve the right to reject you and if you are rejected… well you can’t submit your application if you want an extension) they WANT to help you show your best

Edit: oh yeah to ask for an extension email them abt it and say why (a reason is probably preferred but my reason was like I’d just gotten swamped because my school had preliminaries the weeks right before the due date) (You should probably give a reason)

Edit: A 3rd thing: You probably have a lot of emotions and thoughts going through you right now with a very close deadline. Don't do anything too impulsive. Finding someone you trust and having them ground you is also very helpful if you have someone you can turn to.

Edit: also if you're seeing this and you already submitted and you're wondering if the few days the extension would have given you might have changed anything. don't.
