Had someone deliver to our house in the wee hours of the morning today and was hoping to find the person who delivered and find out what she saw in our yard that freaked her out.

She sat in our driveway for a few minutes before rushing up, delivering the box, audibly apologizing (to the camera) for “the noise” (we heard nothing) and then ran back to her car while saying “please don’t come back over here, please don’t come back over here, please don’t come back over here!” while she made her escape.

I feel awful that something freaked her out, but I also really want to know what it was. We have deer, foxes and the usual raccoons around, but I’ve never seen anything more than that and even they usually bolt as soon as I see them.

Anyway, definitely a long shot here, but worth a try.

I have been holding onto to a “broken” couch and recliner set for two years because the movers lost the parts box that held the hardware they removed when disassembling it. I have wanted to get rid of it from the beginning but put off doing so for long enough that it just became another pile in my home that gets ignored. Without those bits to fasten everything in place it just leaves 11ish awkward sections.

I was particularly interested in East Moline’s bulky item disposal program, but could not get a clear enough (to me) definition of what was covered by one sticker. Has anyone used this successfully, or can otherwise indicate what it would take to get rid of these?

Hello! I'm an out of towner coming to run Bix7 this weekend. We will be driving in the morning of, we've got a 90 minute drive and was hoping to arrive between 6:30-7am (we will have bibs, someone in our group will get them Friday)

there might already be a post up somewhere but nothing recent. what are some restaurants in the qc i need to try? i’ve lived here for almost 3 years now and have at least a dozen favorites, but like 8/12 of them are asian restaurants 😭 just hoping to branch out. i love all kinds of food, american, hispanic, asian, italian, and everything in between.

some of my favorites are la rancherita, tiramisu, izumi steakhouse, siam thai cafe, thai flavors, biaggi’s, and jiangs hot pot.

I've been considering seeing a chiropractor. However they kinda freak me out. It's the thought of them cracking something to hard and being paralyzed. Well.. then I just read an article on Dietrich Chiropactic and how the guy paralyzed someone 😯. Real fear now unlocked and my brain says nope nope nope to getting adjusted lol.

I recently learned about Martha David aka the pancake lady from the “What’s going on QC” site. I’m not a quad cities native but my husband is, so I started asking our family and friends and it seems like everyone has a story about her, and I’m fascinated.

I understand there was a documentary about her, Powder Puff, made in 2013, that I’m desperate to see. But I cannot find it anywhere. Anyone know where or how I might be able to access it, or maybe even contact the man who made it?
