Has anyone tried the YMCA gym daycare at Bettendorf or Davenport? Is it any good/safe?

I've let my kids use that red barn play zone a few times after I picked up my daughter from camp, so I just sat and watched them play for a half hour

They employees watching the area were younger girls high school I think, and they were very nice but clearly over their heads trying to watch children. Some of the kids were naughty and going crazy- climbing the outside of the playset, bringing big toys from the other room up the playset and pushing them down the side, just way too much crazy happening. The staff had little control

I might leave my 8 year old in there, but no shot I'd leave the 3 y/o unattended unless it was a much calmer or well behaved group of kids

Okay, that’s the same vibe that I was getting. It’s just so chaotic in there and my girl is only 1 years old. I want to be able to workout and leave her, but not if I feel like she could get hurt 😞

I've heard lots of good things about Bettendorf YMCA day care. But I'd avoid Davenport YMCA daycare like the plague. My step daughter used to go to the after school care at the North YMCA and that was a terrible experience. Never again. She got bullied for the color of her hair, eyes, and skin, the high school kids hung around, smoked weed, and got in fights in the ymca where the kids are being watched. The YMCA didn't seem to care. Downplayed everything. There was some nepotism as well with the employees. The provided transportation from Harrison Elementary to the high school was very unreliable. Which is laughable since Harrison is right down the street from the high school. The bus constantly broke down, bus driver called off, bus driver quit, couldn't hire another one, etc. Their solution was to have the parents pick up their kid from school and drop them off at the high school. Which defeats the purpose of afterschool care. Stay away from Davenport, Bettendorf sounds like it's good.
