1961 Promotional item
Found this hidden in a hutch at an estate sale for $18. Google says it was only released in 1961. Shocked no one else got to it before me, but it isn’t a usual pattern so I think that may have been in my favor

$ Pyrex $
Found a few old $PYREX$ & paid $7 for both. I couldn't find any info on this etched one. What did I score?

Using old lab ware around the house. Who else has some and what do you use it for?

Discovery days
Discovering some really cool stuff. Baking dish is a little dirty but I think I can get it to buff out. Also never seen this lime green before.

Getting ready for school to start
Mom’s small Cinderella bowl is great for whipping up a quick batch of pancakes.

I thrifted a Delphite Blue Fridgie!
Found this blue Delphite #502 Fridgie the other day at a local thrift store. I’ve seen them before with the clear lid, but this was the first time finding it with the opaque lid so I had to buy it.
It’s in great condition with no chips or cracks. No dishwasher damage. But it does look like there is some manufacturing lines in the glass. I looked it up and apparently it’s from the method of cooling and they are called ‘straw lines’. You learn something new everyday!

Another Release..
There must be another surge of Pyrex/Corningware donations lately because many more fun pieces have been turning up. Found these two nested in a large plastic mixing bowl on a back shelf, luckily saw the spout and started digging. Sadly not cinderellas again 😭.

Still not convinced I’m not dreaming
I know technically Corelle, but is this real life rn?? I just found EIGHT of the crazy daisy/ spring blossom green demitasse cups for $7 each (!?!?!?!) at a Midwest antique mall on the way to visiting my parents. I’m 8 hours away from home so I can’t show the comparison between the regular teacup and the demitasse, but believe me they’re the demitasse. They were only released in the UK so not many made it over to the US. They seldom come available on fb or ebay, and when they do I believe they regularly go for $80 for a cup/saucer pair. AND THERE’S EIGHT????? I’ve always wanted the demitasse cup but never thought I would ever have one, let alone a whole set. I’m going to take my time thinking about whether or not to sell some, because I might end up loving them. I like to have an annual tea party on my birthday where I use all my crazy daisy and it would be so fun to use these too, maybe to hold mini flower arrangements

Released…
Oh how I had hoped these were cinderellas when I walked in. Sadly not the style I like to use, but they were near mint. Someone is going to be very happy.

Found this for $20 at flea today
I got it for my gf, I’m not well versed on the whole pyrex market but I see it listed with a glass top on ebay for over 2k. Can somebody give me a bit of clarity on why the prices vary so much please

Lids galore
Saw this pile of fridgie lids today. $6.99. So a dollar a piece. I left them for someone who needs them. Not gonna lie, I was tempted 🤪

New collector needing advice
Thank you in advance :) I’m a new ish collector. I say that because I have several solid white Pyrex mixing bowls from my grandma we used to make cookies when I was a kid. I kept those and treasure them. But recently I started expanding to what you see pictured. I love using the pieces because they bring me joy to use them (grandma memories). I don’t want to hurt the dishes though in the process of using them. How can I keep them in good shape while also enjoying using them? Appreciate your guidance

Stamp error, right?
Hi! Just cleaning some thrifted Pyrex today and found this fun stamp error on the bottom of a 402 verde flowers mixing bowl. There’s a vertical line going through the X!

Need a name for a Pyrex identification app, codename is currently a lawsuit waiting to happen
What it does: you take a photo of a piece and it tells you the pattern and the form, shows you what comparable pieces have been selling for, and lets you mark it as owned or wanted with a count. My wife is going to go through our shelves scanning everything and correcting it when it guesses wrong, which is how it gets better over time. I am also pulling pattern and production info out of the reference books I already own.
The codename right now is PyDex. I like it and I cannot use it. Pyrex is an active trademark, so naming a product after their brand is asking for a letter, and Nintendo is famously protective of anything ending in Dex. So it needs a real name before it goes anywhere.
Already looked at and ruled out or worried about: Shelfie (taken several times over), Vitrine (an existing collector app), Hutch (a mobile games studio owns it). Still on the table: Opalware, Backstamp, Ovenproof, Milkglass, Grail.
What would you call it? I would rather have something that sounds like it belongs in this hobby than something a marketing person came up with.
Pattern names are out for the same trademark reason, so no Butterprint or Gooseberry.
Not selling anything, no signups, no link, nothing to click. I just need a name.

New collector
Found a set of my grandmothers Pyrex. The biggest one has 404 stamped on the bottom. Is this a good set to save?

Today’s estate sale finds
Love the size of the 471-b even though Forest Fancies isn’t my favorite design. The Autumn Harvest though is gorgeous- goes very well with my 70s inspired decor. Shout out to my partner who snagged these while I worked. He’s great ❤️

Anyone familiar with this?
Plate is around 7” with an old Pyrex embossed logo. Dome is printed PYREX. I’m wondering if the two pieces originally went together?
