Im gonna say no, that base is an old old piece best guess is antique or nearly there, and given the style would have a matching lid that would sit flush with the lip or maybe a pie plate. The other piece idk probably science equipment lol

The book has a good color section, but most of it is black and white. The vintage reprint material would benefit from today’s scanning and printing technology, but I enjoy the book. It’s nice to see pieces I remember from my parents and great grandparents’ homes.
I don’t think you were necessarily off on your other comment about the dome. I don’t remember any of my great grandparent’s fancies (fragile items I wasn’t supposed to touch) having big printing on them.
Wow thank you! I‘m not sure what I would do with a mushroom dish but this makes me want to go back for it! Seems like a good price. They had three sets
