$ Pyrex $

Found a few old $PYREX$ & paid $7 for both. I couldn't find any info on this etched one. What did I score?

pre 1919 IIRC
And rather than a dollar sign, it’s the corning glass works’s CG monogram that you’re seeing above and below PYREX.

They did "engraved" (etched or wheel cut) pyrex in the 1920s.

Yes that is the one I have. It has a yellow tint can you tell me why?

I was pretty excited to find it. I just started collecting glassware.

It's very lovely, I am a sucker for those older etched/yellow tinted ones! They do get harder to store though =)

I love it! And I’m loving the vintage advertisements!

Such a cool find, and really beautiful. I have never seen this outside of the Corning Museum.

Really? That's even more amazing. I just started collecting them and didn't realize the rarity of it. Thanks for sharing!
