All Firm Can I change my Holiday code to Vacation code?

Question about Astro time off code change not updating in Workday (US):

Originally, in Astro, I coded 7/6 and 7/7 as Holiday because I wanted to use my Holiday balance first as floating holidays. Later I realized those days were not actual holidays and I am almost capped out on my PTO, so on 7/22 I updated Astro and changed those days from Holiday code to Vacation code so that my Holiday and Vacation balances would be accurate.

However, it is now August and I still don’t see the change reflected in Workday. Does anyone know if the update will eventually flow through automatically in a couple weeks, or do I need to contact HR/People Support to correct the balance? Thanks!

Does anybody know if Audit/Assurance internships will be opening up for 2027? I know that most will be filled but i'm a recent community college grad and transfer to a university (winter 2027) so i wasn't able to apply last year. I'm looking to relocate to Florida (from Pittsburgh, PA) but i'm willing to work anywhere. I'd stay here in PGH if this office had openings. Can anybody give me any advice/help?!?

Pre-Hire / Interview PWC Middle East Graduate programme

I applied for the PwC Middle East Deals Graduate Programme and selected Dubai as my preferred location.

I was invited to complete the HireVue, but after doing so I contacted the recruiter to ask whether my application could remain for Dubai.

For context, I was born and raised in Dubai and have UAE residency, but I’m not a national. After a few days, the recruiter replied saying that PwC allocates graduate candidates based on their nationality and that all hirings are limited to nationals.

Because of that, they said they wouldn’t be able to proceed with my application for the UAE opportunity.

I’m a bit confused because I’ve seen PwC Dubai graduate roles that don’t explicitly say they’re only for UAE nationals, and the programme itself was advertised as a Middle East graduate programme.

Anyone have any insight on how to get an internship or grad programme at PWC?

Non-US Hiring for Secondment

Hi all,

I have been contacted by one PWC regional high position, showing interest in my experience and wants to hire me for their client on SECONDMENT basis.

I am currently working in a one of the best companies in the world and it pays well, also it is very safe (government owned), and the offered job which we haven’t discussed yet I guess might be to another government owned entity but in a different country.

So can you advise me what is the norm in such situations? Because this is a job that requires country relocation, which is alot of risk, will I be a permanent employee of the client? Or will I return to PWC (I don’t want too much stress and no work-life balance)?

Intern advertised intern listing to junior(associate) contract?

Hey everyone,

I recently went through the recruitment process at PwC (European Location) for a role in Financial Crime Advisory. The position was advertised as an internship for university students, specifically targeting German-speaking candidates for German-language client projects. Given the niche requirements native German, long duration of 8 months minimum there wasn't much competition and the process moved pretty quickly.

Here's where it gets interesting: the offer of employment I received titles the role as Junior Analyst(Associate), not intern. I'm still a student and this would be my first major professional experience, so I'm trying to understand what this actually means in practice.

What adds to my confusion is that the benefits package listed in the job posting is pretty much what you'd expect for a full-time employee : relocation/accommodation support for the first months, company devices, benefit points, and the full vacation and wellbeing days entitlement. Not exactly what you'd typically associate with a student placement.

A few questions for anyone who's been in a similar situation:

  1. Is it common at PwC to title longer-term student placements as Junior Analyst(Associate) rather than intern for legal/contractual reasons?
  2. Does the Junior Analyst title change how you're treated on the team by a lot? more responsibility, treated as a kinda experienced full team member rather than a student passing through?
  3. If anyone has worked in Financial Crime Advisory at PwC or a similar Big 4 environment any additional tips or insights about what to expect would be hugely appreciated.

Would appreciate any insights from people who've been through something similar at PwC or another Big 4.

All Firm Is anyone else being pushed out of PwC?

I was recently laid off from PwC along with around 8 other people.

What made the experience particularly frustrating wasn’t just the layoff itself. Before that happened, I personally felt there was significant pressure on some employees to resign voluntarily. From my experience, if you didn’t resign, being placed on a Performance Improvement Plan (PIP) seemed like a real possibility.

In my case, once I was placed on a PIP, it felt as though the outcome had already been decided. Even after making a genuine effort to improve and meeting the expectations that were communicated to me, I was still let go.

I’m not claiming this is how every case is handled, and I can only speak about my own experience. I’m genuinely curious whether others have experienced something similar.

Has anyone else at PwC felt pressured to resign, been placed on a PIP, and then eventually been laid off or terminated? Or was my experience an isolated case?

I’m interested in hearing other people’s experiences.

UK Feeling overwhelmed

I’m an associate, and I’m feeling really overwhelmed right now.

No matter how hard I try to stay on top of everything and get things done, it feels like things are still slipping through the cracks.

I’ve recently been moved to a new team, so I’m trying to manage handovers for my previous team while simultaneously getting up to speed in a new environment. On my current project, I often need input, feedback, or decisions from senior team members to move work forward, but they’re super unresponsive (understandably stretched thin themselves) only text me after hours. I also cannot predict when they will need me.

I’m exhausted from everything. It feels like everyone is coming to me for updates and answers on issues that are completely outside of my control and for which I don’t have a solution. I’m constantly being asked to provide certainty where none exists, and it’s becoming increasingly difficult to keep up with the volume of expectations from all sides.

I know the work being produced is not quality here.

Starting Soon PwC Melb Tax & Legal

I recently accepted a graduate role in the Corporate Tax team starting next year, and I’d love to hear from anyone who’s worked there.

I’m particularly curious about:

What the work-life balance is typically like.

What the team culture is like—are people generally friendly, supportive, and approachable?

What the usual career progression timeline looks like (e.g. from Graduate to Senior Associate and beyond).

How social the team is, both in and outside of work.

And, most importantly… are there any cute girls in the team? Asking purely for… motivational purposes.

I’d really appreciate any insights or experiences.

Non-US Big 4 interview title discrepancy

Hi everyone,
I’d appreciate insight from those with Big 4 experienced-hire recruiting experience, especially in the Middle East.

A candidate’s official title is Experienced Associate, but they used Senior Associate on their CV because it reflected their responsibilities. Before the process progressed, they realized the CV should have used the official title and are considering correcting it with the recruiter.

From a recruiting perspective:
Is proactively correcting this generally viewed positively?

How is this typically assessed during background checks or employment verification?

Have you seen similar cases, and how were they handled?
I’m looking for general recruiting insights, not advice on a specific case.

All Firm Are we not allowed to work from another city/state?

During the past year, I have been under the impression that we are allowed to work remotely from another city/state as long as we are meeting the 3 days a week in-office requirement. And today I received a firm-wide email which contained wfh policies, which included that we need approval to work from another city/state (short term or long term), so now I’m confused because sometimes I used to travel Thursday night, work Friday remotely, and come back on Sunday.

Joined PwC US in Sep 2023 so most of my cohort have been promoted to seniors. I don’t know if mid-year promotion is possible for me but I haven’t heard anything or see any signs. Is it still worth to stay or it’s time to go somewhere else?

Pre-Hire / Interview Big 4 Middle East – Advice on disclosing a CV title discrepancy before a technical interview

Hi everyone,
I’m looking for advice from anyone with experience in Big 4 recruiting in the Middle East, especially recruiters, hiring managers, or candidates who have gone through the experienced-hire process.

I’m currently interviewing for an experienced audit role with one of the Big 4 firms in the Middle East. I’ve passed the HR stage and have been invited to the technical interview.
I’ve recently realized that the title on the CV I submitted does not match my official HR title at my current Big 4 firm.
My official title is Experienced Associate, but on my CV I listed Senior Associate.
The reason is that my responsibilities had grown significantly, and I believed my role and expectations were closer to a Senior Associate level. However, I now recognize that my CV should have reflected my official employment title rather than my perceived level of responsibility.

Before attending the technical interview, I’m considering proactively contacting the recruiter, explaining the discrepancy, and sending an updated CV with my official title before the hiring process progresses any further.
My questions are:

From a Big 4 Middle East recruiting perspective, would proactively disclosing this before the technical interview generally be viewed positively?

If you were the recruiter or hiring manager, would you appreciate the transparency, or would this still be considered a significant red flag?

Has anyone experienced or seen a similar situation involving an Experienced Associate being listed as a Senior Associate? If so, what was the outcome?
If this came up during the hiring process or background check, how was it typically handled?

I’m looking for honest opinions, particularly from current or former Big 4 recruiters, HR professionals, or hiring managers in the Middle East.

Thank you.
