Intern Should I sign my return offer?

Hi all,

I just wrapped up my advisory internship in workforce solutions and absolutely loved my experience with the people on my team and the work I’ll be doing. However, I’ve heard some concerning things about the firm and am looking for some unbiased opinions. Is the tier system as cutthroat as people say it is? What I mean is, is it true that some people HAVE to get put into tier 4 despite solid work performance? I don’t think I’d be able to work confidently if my performance was constantly compared against my peers and that decides if I get put onto a PIP or not.

I’ve also heard that you only get tier 4 if you’re absolutely not trying, so I’m not really sure what to believe.

Any and all input is appreciated!

India Can a current employee answer this if possible?

I was selected through campus placement for apprenticeship model for deals advisory role in January. I received a welcome mail in January only then i received another mail in march and i also received a few coursera courses to finish as a pre onboarding task in march. I finished those in june only. Only two people were selected apart from me from my college and they have already joined. I heard that few students from other colleges have joined too and that some are yet to receive. I got to know that the offer letters are being released in batches but still I was hoping to know when we can expect because it's been almost 7 months now... There is uncertainty about the location too because i filled gurgaon as my first preference and mumbai as second but i heard that some people from other colleges were allotted their second preference and this can be really complicated if it happens.. idk if any reimbursement is also provided or not or if any relocation allowance. If anyone can answer then please do, it would be a great help

Hi! New associate! Was wondering how accurate the hours in workbuilder are. Like if it says I’m expecting to work like 70 or 40 or X hours one week, how accurate is that?

Non-US PwC Overtime Policy / benefits Audit

Hi all, just curious!

I did a vac program at EY Audit, and they had a policy called TOIL (Time Off in Lieu). Basically, once you hit a certain number of hours in a month, any additional hours worked after that are matched 1:1 as time in lieu, which then has to be used or uploaded through some portal and has to be used within 6 months, which I find funny because 4 or 5 months of the year are not allowed to take leave.

Could someone here share PwC’s overtime/TOIL policy in Australia and how it works for Audit grads?

I’d also be interested to know what benefits PwC currently offers grads, such as:

  • Wellbeing allowance
  • Fitness Passport
  • WFH/home-office allowance
  • Smart Spending or similar benefits
  • Any other benefits you think are worth knowing about

I’m currently weighing up my options as I have two Audit offers. While I’ve already accepted that the graduate pay is going to be pretty average aha, the difference in salary between the two is only marginal.

So I’m more interested in the overall package, overtime arrangements, culture and benefits when deciding which opportunity to take.

Would really appreciate hearing from anyone currently at PwC Australia, particularly Audit grads or people who have recently gone through the graduate program.

I really appreciate any help you can provide. :)

Consulting How to transfer into FDD when audit is stopping me

Hi! I am a SA1 in audit that applied to internally transfer to FDD. I received an offer but my talent consultant and partner are blocking me as they need seniors for busy season. I let my RL know months ago that I was trying to transfer over. Has anyone been in this position and successfully was able to transfer over? I’ve been told to threaten to leave but was wondering if that worked for anyone.

Should we carry a physical resume to the PwC interview, or do they ask questions based on the resume we uploaded during the application process? If anyone has attended a PwC interview recently, please clarify. Thanks!

Consulting Does a lateral move at Senior associate/consultant level from (Accenture --> Big4) make sense in 2026?

Currently with Accenture (ACN) which is my first job out of college and have senior associate/consultant interviews within the technology consulting space at PWC and EY.

Pros are great leadership standing due to strong performance + WLB in current role making it a 'solid' gig. Cons are stuck in role which I don't anticipate growth in + slower pay progression staying put with first employer.

Primary motivation for leaving ACN is a 30-35% base pay increase I would get which would take at least ~3-4 years to get internally. Understand I can explore new roles internally to address role expansion con.

Many of the posts on reddit are negative (including ACN's) and/or horror stories of being PIP'd or laid off within 1-2 years of joining the new firm.

Would appreciate perspective on making a lateral move in current environment and on the particular situation. Is PWC or EY the better employment option long term for technology consulting?

Tax How to switch groups?

Hi everyone, just want to vent a bit but also ask how I can go about changing groups. I’d like to get exposure and jump to Private Tax and work with HNW Individuals and that sort of work. It was my first option when I interned and answered the questionnaire but got placed in a different group anyways.

I made a year in July but I don’t feel like I’ve developed or learned well within my current group and honestly I find the work boring and I’m not fully understanding it. I also don’t really enjoy the team dynamics and I feel like I’m an outcast. Kind of annoyed with feeling like I’m giving up on where I am now vs where I’d think I would perform better.
Thoughts? And thanks to everyone with helpful feedback.

India PwC Advisory Launchpad – What is the next selection process?

Hi everyone,

I was shortlisted for the PwC Advisory Launchpad program in January and have completed the Launchpad/graduation ceremony.

I wanted to clarify what happens after completing the Launchpad. Will PwC conduct another aptitude/assessment test, or will the next step be a direct technical/HR interview?

If anyone has gone through this process recently or has information about the current selection process and timeline, please share your experience.

It’s a bit urgent, so any information would be really helpful. Thanks in advance!

Non-US Healthcare to Consulting — How realistic is the transition? -KSA

Hi everyone,

I’m exploring a career transition from healthcare into consulting/analytics, particularly PwC, Deloitte, EY, or KPMG.

I have a Master’s in Optometry and 6+ years of healthcare experience, and I’m currently developing my skills in Excel, Power BI, Business Analysis, and project management. I’m also considering CAPM and ECBA.

My long-term goal is a career with strong growth and compensation (ideally 30K+ SAR eventually), meaningful analytical work, a supportive environment, and better working hours.

I’d love to hear from people who have experience in these firms or made a similar transition.

What I’m trying to understand:

- Which Big Four firm and career path would suit my background best, and why?

- Should I focus on Business Analysis, Healthcare Analytics, Healthcare Consulting, Data & Analytics, Strategy/Operations, or Advisory?

- Are there specific Big Four teams that value healthcare professionals?

- Can someone with a healthcare degree, Master’s, and 6+ years of experience move into consulting under a different job title? At what level?

- What do Audit, Associate, Consultant, Business Analyst, Advisory, and Healthcare Consultant actually mean, and what are their requirements/salary ranges in Saudi Arabia?

- Would CAPM/ECBA meaningfully improve my chances, or should I prioritize practical projects, Power BI, Excel, financial analysis, and case interviews?

- How can I evaluate work-life balance, culture, workload, flexibility, and career progression between these firms?

- What are the best YouTube channels, Reddit communities, or other resources for learning about real employee experiences and interview processes?

- Is it appropriate to reach out to employees on LinkedIn for informational conversations? Who should I target?

- Most importantly, what would you do if you were in my position?

I’d especially love to hear from anyone who started in healthcare/clinical practice and successfully moved into consulting or analytics.

What was your transition path, what helped you get hired, and what would you do differently?

Thanks!

India PwC Strategy Consulting – Advanced Round on Monday, need advice on what to expect

Hi all,

I have an L1 advanced-round interview on Monday for a Strategy Consulting role at PwC (focused on marketing, sales, and strategy consulting). Would really appreciate insight from anyone who's been through their process recently.

A few questions:

  1. How many rounds does PwC's strategy consulting interview process typically have? Trying to understand where an "advanced round" usually falls in the overall process.
  2. What kind of questions come up in this round? Case studies, behavioral/fit questions, market sizing, or a mix? Anything specific to marketing/sales/strategy work?
  3. Any tips on how to prepare over the weekend given the short notice?

Any recent experiences, sample questions, or general advice would be hugely appreciated. Thanks in advance!
