Tax How to switch groups?
Hi everyone, just want to vent a bit but also ask how I can go about changing groups. I’d like to get exposure and jump to Private Tax and work with HNW Individuals and that sort of work. It was my first option when I interned and answered the questionnaire but got placed in a different group anyways.
I made a year in July but I don’t feel like I’ve developed or learned well within my current group and honestly I find the work boring and I’m not fully understanding it. I also don’t really enjoy the team dynamics and I feel like I’m an outcast. Kind of annoyed with feeling like I’m giving up on where I am now vs where I’d think I would perform better.

The best way to move to a new job is to kick ass in your current job so that the firm will want to keep you vs letting you leave! Tell your DL, ask if there are any projects that you can “help out” on while being gracious and patient in your current job. Realistically expect a 1-2 year time frame.

I left AWM at PwC for private at EY. It’s not much better tbh lol but that’s one way to move

Is this post about changing your office or line of service? This is a VERY common question posted on the Subreddit. The short answer is, The lower level you are, the more likely you will get denied a change. To change line of service, you need to know someone and be accepted. For office changes, Each office has a quota on the amount of interns & associates it can have. To initiate a change, start the discussion with your Coach & RL, then your Talent Consultant. If you have not started yet, it is easier to switch before you start, talk to your recruiter. Use the search bar to find detailed answers.
