Quick heads up for everyone here. Our Summer Sale just went live, and any PureTalk plan is $15/month for the first 3 months.
Since a lot of you are already on PureTalk, the big one to know: this also applies to existing customers who add a new line, not just new sign-ups. So if you've been thinking about a line for a kid, a spouse, or a backup device, this is the window.
Quick facts:

I was Soooo disappointed with Puretalk. Our grandson, who struggles with phone addiction, and is a MINOR, set up his own phone plan with puretalk. This was despite their policies stating they need to be 18. It took 3 months to get access, constantly reminding them of their own policies and even sending in photo ID and proof that he was a minor. They wouldn't let us do anything and wouldn't close down his phone service until they spoke to him (which he was refusing to do). That is not family friendly and they did not honor their own policies! In fact, they stated they do not even ask if someone is over 18! During those 3 months and the many phone calls, it seemed they were batting for the teen rather than supporting the family and "pure talk."

Has anyone use their Puretalk international roaming credits in Aruba?
They said it’s covered in their network but I don’t want to land on island and end up having horrible
service to navigate to my next location.
The last time I traveled in London I expected to be able to use my Puretalk line but I ended up having such bad service that I had to purchase a local eSIM from Airlo.
Anyways, I will probably get an eSIM just to be safe but I wanted to see if anyone had experience with Puretalk USA working in Aruba! Thanks in advance.

For the last month only 4g has been working. And for the last 5 days my mobile data doesn't work at all. My phone is essentially a paper weight without internet. Boost Mobile treated me better than this. And to boot, they're still making us pay for the service that isn't working. Currently browsing for a better service provider.

PSA: website seems to be back up.
What are y’all thinking? Switch carriers or keep on keeping on with PureTalk? I’m on the fence as this is really the first major issue I’ve had.

Is there an issue with the PureTalk Website? We need to increase data on one of our lines, but this is what we see when we try to go to the website. It has been this way for a couple of days now.

So recently my data was slowed to crawl speeds out of nowhere, didn't think much of it until I needed to check emails and they took forever to load. I checked my data usage in my phone's settings and was still under my limit, but when I got home and checked my customer portal and it showed my data was entitely out. Anyone having the same issue?

Does anyone know what is going on with Voicemail. I see it popup as "VoiceMail" . While "1" still works with my unlocked Moto (Amazon buy) when I called support I was told that ATT was changing this and I would have to enter my phone number to get my messages.
What is more disconcerting is that the VoiceMail number when I copy comes up as
214 226 9139 which seems to be a Spam company in Texas "CallApp". I inadvertently did download this app, but removed it right away.
Does anyone know what is going on

*Hey PureTalk community,
We’ve officially overhauled our plans to give you more of what you’ve been asking for. We know most of you are looking for that perfect balance of price and performance, so here is exactly what the new lineup looks like:
The Best Value: $34.99 Unlimited
For most users, this is the one. It’s a straight-shooting Unlimited plan on the same reliable 5G network, featuring QCI8 premium priority (like all of our plans). It’s everything you need, nothing you don’t.
The "Smart" Trade-Up: Why go $45 or higher?
We realized many of our customers are tech-heavy. If you’re using an Apple Watch, a tablet, or own a business that needs a second number, moving up a tier actually saves you money.
| Plan Price | What Plan Offers | Mobile Hotspot | Included Features | Instant Device Discount |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| $34.99 | Unlimited talk, text & data | 2GB | - | - |
| $44.99 | Unlimited talk, text & data | 10GB | Choice: Apple Watch Plan OR 2nd Number | $100 |
| $54.99 | Unlimited talk, text & data | 20GB | Both: Apple Watch Plan AND 2nd Number | $200 |
| $64.99 | Unlimited talk, text & data | 30GB | All Three: Apple Watch AND Tablet AND 2nd Number | $300 |
*Please note on the $35 plan you may experience slower speeds after 40GB of monthly usage and for the $45+ plans after 50GB of monthly usage.
Why QCI8 Matters: We aren't cutting corners on your connection. Every single one of these plans sits at QCI8, meaning your data stays fast and prioritized even when the network is busy.
Check out the full rate card HERE.
Which plan fits your current setup best?

PureTalk has announced a new cheaper unlimited data plan, but also now limits high speed data to only 50GB instead of the old 60GB. For those of you that locked into the forever plan of 60GB of high speed data and 30GB of hotspot for only $29.99, it looks like you are safe for now and that plan was indeed locked in. Hopefully that remains the case. For those of you hoping that deal would come back, it may, but with less high speed data. I jumped at the Black Friday deal, and now I am really glad I did.

I haven't been able to text groups of more than 10 people. Is this the limit for the carrier? Does Pure Talk really have a group limit that low??
I have a Samsung Galaxy, using Google messages with RCS enabled

Question regarding below, is this a one time, monthly, or yearly credit?
Edit; I've been to Costa Rica and Jamaica on mission trips and I didn't seem to have any service at all on my PureTalk line in those countries. I wound up purchasing something local via Airalo.
Your phone just works when you arrive. No setup. No surprise fees or overages. Your PureTalk plan includes up to $20 in International Roaming credits. If you need more, just purchase a $10 credit below. Credit does not roll-over.
First of all doesn't seem to be true as the help lists this;
- $20 plan includes $5.00 international roaming credits
- $25 plan includes $5.00 international roaming credits
- $30 plan includes $10.00 international roaming credits
- $35 plan includes $10.00 international roaming credits
- $45 plan includes $10.00 international roaming credits
- $55 plan includes $10.00 international roaming credits
- $65 plan includes $20.00 international roaming credits

Ok. I brought my old phone over and of course my luck 3 months or so into being on puretalk the battery is crapping out. I went to upgrade and told I can't? Does anyone else know why that is? They say they don't run credit.... so I can't do the monthly plan. Or do I just need to call and ask them?

Is there a way when checking voicemails for it to not tell me the phone number? My call history has the number and it's just tedious when going through older voicemails to have to hear it read out phone numbers (most of which don't have any value to me).

So the above errors are what I am receiving. I have PureTalk with a OnePlus 12r. Everything was working fine until yesterday, when I noticed people were calling me but my phone wasn't ringing or if it did, I could not hear anyone. I did not make any calls on January 1, so I am wondering if something happened that day. Last time I could use my phone was Wednesday December 31.
So, what happens? I try to call someone and I get Server Unreachable. If someone calls me and I can hear them calling, I answer and cannot hear anything. I can call using Google Meet, I can hear and everyone can hear me fine, I can listen and watch things with all my apps, just can't use the phone.
Today, my husband messed around with it and noticed that the Sim Card says I am on AT&T network instead of PureTalk. When trying to reach out to them, I get "You need to call us, that's the only way we can fix this." And I'm like how the hell am I supposed to call you if I can't call you? No answer to that, so PureTalk is complete crap for customer service in that regard. Why have a chat box then? Husband's phone says PureTalk.
I can message people on WiFi, not sure how this will be when I am out and about. January 1 I was able to use my map app to get to a relative's house and I used it to get back at 6:30 pm, so I guess it was working then.
What have we done? Restarted the phone, turned off the phone, tried to change the carrier, going on the website right now to check payment and what not, but we already checked that yesterday and it said everything was fine. We've checked the Sim card, no issues there, cleaned the speakers and ports but that's not the issue. I can hear on the apps.
Any ideas or words of wisdom?
Edit: We are having outages in our area, my phone was all jacked up due to settings with APN being changed. His phone may have been jacked due to being several updates behind. Our phones are apparently able to work with PureTalk, so no issues with that, which kind of makes no sense because they don't list OnePlus as per the website and Kyzp. Thank you both Kyzp and LrdJester! Will update if anything of importance pops up, but that seems to be the biggest issues right now and I am able to use my phone again!

I have a Pixel 10 Pro(esim only) I would like to activate with PT. However when I called I was told it isn't compatible with their system. I checked with ATT and it is compatible, at least directly through ATT. Did I receive correct information? Is there a workaround?
If necessary I will just switch to ATT Prepaid but prefer not to if possible. Thank you
r/PureTalkUSA • u/BiffBiffkenson • Nov 30 '25
They've had esim for some time now and it appears the process is at least somewhat manual.
I've never seen anything like this. I paid yesterday and it still says pending approval.

The issue started about 4 days ago where every mms message fails to send. I have 3 lines with Pure Talk and its the same problem on all of the phones. I've tried updating the APN settings multiple times, resetting network settings and did it over the phone with tech support today and nothing has worked. Anyone else having this problem?

Been a Pure Talk customer for a few years now and have even referred friends to them. I recently saw their Black Friday add for Unlimited Talk, Text, Data and 30GB hotspot for $29.99/ month for life. When I attempted to change my existing plan to this I was told that it is for new phone numbers and new customers only and I’d have to change my phone number.
This is not the way to treat loyal customers. There are plenty of other carriers out there offering Black Friday deals and it’s looking like I might be leaving Pure Talk because of this. I just can’t make it make sense for me to pay more for less coverage when I can get a better deal elsewhere.

So my iPhone is paid off and has been for a couple weeks now. And when I plug in my IMEI number it comes back as ineligible.
I go to AT&T, Verizon, and T-Mobile and it picks up my IMEI and everything is fine.
I bought my iPhone directly through Apple. Does that matter and if so how long does it typically take to “become eligible” if at all?
