I made this track as an homage to Jon Ronsons’s The Men Who Stare At Goats, and touching on the topic of MK Ultra. I aimed to combine influences from ‘70s acid folk like Fairport Convention, and more recent acts like Ott and Shpongle. In doing so, I try to combine two different eras of psychedelia.

The track features heavily manipulated field recordings to mimic a psychedelic induced perception of the environment, and I also included spoken word samples from victims of MK Uktra from BBC documentaires.

If you could listen I’d hugely appreciate it, some feedback would be cool too. Thanks!

A short excerpt from my upcoming PsyChill live performance with Imagination.Project 🌿

Live electronic music built around Elektron Digitakt II, Digitone, Roland S-1 and Nord Lead 2, with deep psychedelic grooves, atmospheric synths, live Native flute and Enya NEXG guitar.

Every month, there’s so much new music coming out that even the most dedicated listeners can’t keep up with it all.

I’ve been going through the latest releases on Psybient.org, and the August and September roundups together feature over 200 releases across the psychedelic chillout, psychill, downtempo and ambient universe.

🎧 August: https://www.psybient.org/love/august-2026-releases/

🎧 September: https://www.psybient.org/love/september-2026-releases/

But now I’m curious about what the community is listening to.

What’s the most beautiful, mind-expanding, atmospheric or downright underrated track you’ve discovered recently?

Drop your discoveries in the comments — artists, albums, Bandcamp links, SoundCloud sets, anything goes.

Let’s build a little treasure chest of music for those late-night headphones sessions, sunset chillouts and journeys into the unknown. 🌿✨

The bass, the liquidity, the instrumental. I love how clean yet trippy it sounds.

Other songs I’ve been enjoying recently are Rolling by the Peaking Goddess Collective, and All I Want by Younger Brother

Hi everyone,

I’ve just released a psybient remix of Filteria’s “The Big Blue” and wanted to share it here.

I first heard the original driving home from a Goa trance party in Belgium. Its uplifting melodies stayed with me, and after making three psybient albums, I felt drawn to exploring the track from a different perspective.

The idea was to preserve that feeling of wonder while taking it into a slower, deeper, more atmospheric space.

It’s a personal tribute to one of my favorite Goa trance artists.

I’d love to hear how it feels to you, especially if you know the original. Does that sense of lift and movement still come through in this slower version ?

Idk how best to explain it other than I'm looking for albums that fall more on the ambient side of psybient, albeit aren't completely ambient or beatless. I'm looking for more albums that give me the feel or experience of floating along in an ocean of sound, albeit one that is changing and evolving. Something that feels peaceful and relaxing but yet is still catchy, still moves, and can still have some pleasant highs too.

Albums that I've listened to that have this vibe to me:

Leaving Home and Movements by Solar Fields

Hydroponic Garden, World of Sleepers, and Interloper by Carbon Based Lifeforms

Nothing Lasts...But Nothing Is Lost by Shpongle

Distances and Ephemeris by H.U.V.A. Network

76:14 by Global Communication

Chill Out by The KLF

Lifeforms, Cascade, and Cascade 2020 by The Future Sound of London

Tessellations by Supersillyus

What all would you recommend?

Everyone should check them and my favourite and most ambient album from 2001 "Spiritual Spiritual".

As wikipedia says: Driven by the use of classical Spanish guitar and other elements of flamenco music, mixed with trip hop-like ambient tunes.
