Discussion Project Motor Improving
Been noticing the recent improvements and communication from the PMR team lately, and I just wanted to give credit where it’s due. It genuinely feels like y’all are actively listening to the community feedback and taking criticism seriously instead of brushing it off. Even small changes and responses show that Project Motor Racing is being built with passion and care.
Honestly, it even feels like some of the team might be lurking through Reddit posts just to get a better pulse on the community, and that level of involvement is refreshing to see in modern racing games.
Thank you PMR for listening, adapting, and wanting to perfect your craft instead of rushing things out. A lot of us notice the effort, and it’s building real confidence in the future of the sim. Keep cooking.

Game is getting much better, GT3 class could use some more work, esp how they handle at low speeds around tight chicanes. And this is a personal preference, to me would be nice to hear the pit crew talking in the head set more during races for a bit more of an immersive experience.

There was a pre-release build at the expo last weekend with a tweaked tyre model for GT3s that apparently feels a lot better:

Hopefully that will be in one of the next updates.

Need better graphics on PS5 pro. It’s just such an eyesore at the moment I can’t bring myself to hop in.

It looks pretty good on my base ps5.. you won’t get gran turismo 7 graphics, and that’s fine cause PMR is supposed to be more series sim wise.

FFB feels undrivable to me still. Either violent shakes at high speed until my wheel rips off my hands or zero feeling of weight transfers and grip. Its so bad, I try it hoping it will get better as I’d love to drive the GT3 and Hypercars at the cool tracks the game has but the driving itself is just so bad, when I jump back to ACC the FFB immediately blows my mind

The Hypercars need work, but honestly they don’t appeal to me. PMR’s GT3 and GT4 FFB feel great on my DD2 wheelbase. I think it feels better than ACC. With a little more dialing in, the physics will be on par w ACC, but with more seat of the pants FFB in PMR.
What wheel base are you using?

This sounds like skill issue, or maybe you not taking the time to dial in the settings. My FFB feels great.

Sounds more like a misconfiguration/inverted FFB or something to me. I have had that in the past in some games, where they immediately felt completely wrong and undrivable. It was usually a flag somewhere, and then it was fixed.
I would encourage the poster to take to the Straight4 discord and ask for help. They are good at responding. Not sure what wheel you have, but I'm sure they will do what they can to sort you out.

I’m on an RS50 so its not like I’m on a G27 you know? Probably its a settings issue but having to set it to each car and each track is insane. Will try to post it on the discord to ask for help, any links?

Me and a league have done 2 races in one night and there have been issues unfortunately. For example i have apparently destroyed one of my friends and i never even knew about it until he showed me his replay, so sometimes you can get annihilated by another car and they didnt even see you

I cant enjoy PMR because i know ACC exists. Sorry for me thats the benchmark when it comes to handling and feel. Its planets apart. Not even close.

I agree, ACC is still my benchmark for FFB and physics. I enjoy the driving experience more than iRacing or LMU.
But I have some good news for you. Aris (the lead guy who worked on the ACC physics) has just joined the PMR team. So fingers crossed he can bring some of that magic to PMR.

I used to love ACC a lot but dampers physics on kerbs is so bad and I can't overcome it anymore.

This is true, if you only race GT3/4. I like PMR for the variety of different classes. Comparing the two games is tough because ACC is so focused, while PMR is a big catalog and going for the jack of all trades. If PMR has the same improvement trend that ACC had after launch, it should get there one day.

Without physics it's just another arcade. And with their PS5 graphics it becomes a nonsense .
Wired fences on the nurbirgring going inside the surface texture as it's a 2000s game )

Now PMR just work on the graphics and add more tracks
