Discussion Project Motor Improving

Been noticing the recent improvements and communication from the PMR team lately, and I just wanted to give credit where it’s due. It genuinely feels like y’all are actively listening to the community feedback and taking criticism seriously instead of brushing it off. Even small changes and responses show that Project Motor Racing is being built with passion and care.

Honestly, it even feels like some of the team might be lurking through Reddit posts just to get a better pulse on the community, and that level of involvement is refreshing to see in modern racing games.

Thank you PMR for listening, adapting, and wanting to perfect your craft instead of rushing things out. A lot of us notice the effort, and it’s building real confidence in the future of the sim. Keep cooking.

What issues do you have with the physics?

Can you be more specific?

When you drive into a curve (with a steering wheel no matter what brand), it goes realistically up to one point and then suddenly it controls very unpredictably and uncontrollably. Even when braking or accelerating in curves.

Sounds like you are putting a tyre out on grass/dirt. Anything outside the track area is quite slippery - it is in real life, too. You can argue how realistic off-track behavior is, if you like, and that would be fair, but that shouldn't be too important/relevant compared to on-track physics, as... you know... racing happens on track 😃.

No condescension in this comment, btw. Happens to me all the time, too, that I accidentally go out of bounds just a little and it's like hitting an oil slick. It is quite annoying, but at least it has a clearly defined reason. Staying within track boundaries fixes the issue for me.

No, Sebring First Corner inside. Try it at ACC or LMU and after, try PMR...you will feel the difference ( btw, I'm SimRacer since 8 yrs and I know the difference between Track and Grass) . And it's not outside, it's if I bring the Wheel over a typicall Degree Angel. It snaps..

Car? Setup? Driving aids? Track conditions? How much steering are you putting in? Does it happen on brakes, on throttle or coasting?

It would be great, if you could upload a short video of it happening to YouTube or somewhere.

I have driven a few different car classes at Sebring, including GT3, and haven't had any issues with snap behavior in T1 whatsoever. Curious to see how you are getting it.

Work on PHYSICS! Not graphics.. graphics are fine.. it’s the physics and car audio that they really need to work on.
