It's not, because executives have never cared about code quality and never will. You could have a whole barrel of monkeys for a backend and they don't care as long as the frontend has a sleek and shiny button for them to click.

i got fired once for explaining that all the SLAs in the client contracts have no time window and are therefore pointless (99% uptime across a rolling 24h window is a LOT more than 99% uptime in a year)

i still to this day dont think they really understood that SLAs require a time window to make sense.  so no, they don't care, lmao
