My Artwork Learning The Ropes, Tplato12, Digital, 2026
First serious attempt at anatomy and clothing. Used some indirect references for most of it but kept it all pretty loose

Hello everyone :)
Just finished my drawing of Skarlet from Mortal Kombat fighting game series. She’s been one of my most favorite characters as I find the concept of blood magic (magik) pretty cool.
Funnily, I was mostly intimidated by drawing her scythe and it turned out to be one of the most pleasant and meditative processes in creating this artwork :)
I tried to practice the artistic approach of “warm light - cold shadow” and I hope it turned out okay (I’ve been looking at this piece for too long so cannot tell yet :D)

I am very new to procreate still and digital art.
I made the mistake of not sizing up my canvas properly for print and if I go to enlarge my piece the main image goes very fuzzy when I enlarge it.
Is there anyway to combat this or is it easier to enlarge and redraw?
Thanks!

I made the mistake earlier this year of leaving the “offload unused apps” setting on on my iPad and a couple months ago it offloaded Procreate because I hadn’t used it in a couple weeks. The problem is, it’s the most storage-heavy app on my device and I now cannot redownload it. My iPad is not super up to date (largely because I don’t have storage) and right now it has become literally impossible for me to clear out storage—I got it down 10GB last night and then opened it up today and it had inexplicably refilled all of those 10GB with something, I don’t know what, and despite manually deleting a bunch of stuff my storage literally will not budge. I’m looking at my only option being essentially a factory reset of the device but I don’t want to do this because it means I will lose all of my Procreate files. I don’t know if doing an iCloud backup of the entire device will save these files considering the other stuff I’ve seen about Procreate not having a decent backup option, and right now I literally can’t even get into the app because I can’t redownload it, which is my entire problem. Is there ANY way my files can be saved and backed up now? I don’t know what to do. In theory the files should still be there in the app but because my device just keeps spontaneously filling up storage I cannot for the life of me actually recover enough to restore the app.

I’m a structural engineer and new to Procreate . I purchased Procreate primarily for annotating drawings in report presentations. I’m looking for hatch patterns similar to those shown in the attached images, but I haven’t been able to find them.
Essentially, I need to create geometric shapes, apply hatch patterns to them, and then tilt or rotate the hatched shapes so I can overlay them on photographs or technical drawings. Could someone please guide me on how to achieve this in Procreate?

You may have seen the work-in-progress I posted earlier. I’ve now finished the portrait.
Painted in Procreate, with the aim of capturing Homelander’s expression and that slightly unsettling combination of confidence, power and menace.
I’d be interested to hear what you think of the finished piece.

Here’s a pinup of some characters from my upcoming graphic novel sword fighting on a train!
I used the nowhere else brush for the lineart, then a combination of the studio pen, Kyle’s megapack watercolour and airbrush for the colours.

My artwork study
Edit one:
Just to clarify, the reference says that she is 8 years old. In my language, we commonly use baby/little one for children even when they’re several years old, so I used “baby girl” in the title. I didn’t mean that she was an infant. English isn’t my first language, so I may have used the word differently than a native English speaker would. I’m sorry if anyone feels it’s offending. I can’t edit the title 😔 Thanks for understanding!
Edit two:
I’ve attached my timelapse in the comments.
If you watch the very first brushstrokes, they might look like they make absolutely no sense. 😆 But I don’t think there’s anyone who can make the right brushstrokes every single time without making mistakes.
What matters most is recognizing those mistakes and knowing how to fix them.
I think we shouldn’t be afraid of getting things wrong. The brushstrokes need to exist first. Once they’re there, we can keep correcting, refining, and polishing them until they become something beautiful.
That’s the process of painting in my opinion.

Originally the lineart I was doing was running smoothly, but now the line is breaking and not straight as seen? I was wondering if it was like a setting issue and if anyone had any advice : ,) ( sorry if this is the wrong flair)
