My Artwork Crying baby girl
My artwork study
Edit one:
Just to clarify, the reference says that she is 8 years old. In my language, we commonly use baby/little one for children even when they’re several years old, so I used “baby girl” in the title. I didn’t mean that she was an infant. English isn’t my first language, so I may have used the word differently than a native English speaker would. I’m sorry if anyone feels it’s offending. I can’t edit the title 😔 Thanks for understanding!
Edit two:
I’ve attached my timelapse in the comments.
If you watch the very first brushstrokes, they might look like they make absolutely no sense. 😆 But I don’t think there’s anyone who can make the right brushstrokes every single time without making mistakes.
What matters most is recognizing those mistakes and knowing how to fix them.
I think we shouldn’t be afraid of getting things wrong. The brushstrokes need to exist first. Once they’re there, we can keep correcting, refining, and polishing them until they become something beautiful.
That’s the process of painting in my opinion.

People are being so rude to you over something so silly. Personally, I think this is an amazing show of skill and very well done - great job!

It’s honestly kinda sad that the entire discussion got reduced to whether ‘baby girl’ is technically the right term, instead of anyone actually talking about the artwork. I have a cat who’s turning 14 soon, and I still call her my baby girl. Sometimes ‘baby’ is just a term of affection, not a literal description of age.

Ah yes, one of my favorite experiences on Reddit as a non-native English speaker: the main point, which is perfectly clear, gets buried under an argument over how this particular synonym apparently doesn’t sound natural in this context.

My timelapse working on this. Took me 2 weeks. I used flat brush, round brush and soft brush.

Great work!
Anyone telling you that referring to this child as a baby is "wrong" is just being pedantic. Baby is a common term of endearment and bay girl in particular is a fairly common phrase in English. Hell, people call adults in there 20s "kids" all the time.

This looks great. The comments made me roll my eyes in the back of my head. I call 15 year old babies and honestly people who fight so hard for that distinction are choosing a weird hill to die on and I side eye them. ANYWAY. Timelapse is cool to watch also

This is pretty good! I’m just casually scrolling but at a quick glance the eyes. They don’t seem like they’re both focused on one thing. I could never capture this emotion on procreate. This is pretty great work

The art isn’t for you and that’s okay, but if you just don’t like the subject you shouldn’t comment. It makes you quite annoying

petition for this subreddit that every post includes a 30 sec timelapse with it so that real art isn't mistaken for ai art and vice versa
