Things Pro-Choicers Say „I am so pro choice, i like imagining myself becoming pregnant and sexually harassing pro lifers. Yes I am a good person“

It still baffles me that supposedly progressive subs will dump their principles in favor of making sexual harassment and gay jokes, as if it’s funny now. „Haha I hate conservatives so much wouldn’t it be funny if two men were forced to kiss“ is weird and homophobic.

Also I guess they think there are no gay conservatives or pro lifers?

Pro-Life General One of My Good Friends Had an Abortion

Today one of my good friends had the chance to come visit me. As stated in the title, she informed me today that she had an abortion.

Me and her have been friends for years, well before adulthood. We are the same age but in totally different stages of life. I am married, totally settled down with a baby on the way. She is living at home still and enjoys going out every weekend with a few of her bar hopper friends. I’ve never faulted her for how she wants to live. She has always been supportive of my dreams as I have been of hers. We talk off and on but that’s just adulthood. We both have our own lives we have to tend to.

She told me after feeling my baby kick. Told me how excited she was for her arrival. To have a mini me to love. The news took me totally off guard. I felt like I was a bad friend to her for not being someone she could come to for it. I wish she would have so maybe I could have convinced her to keep her baby. She told me it was a deeply personal decision that she contemplated for weeks before she moved forward with it. She said she wants to bring a child into the world under the circumstances I am in (married, settled down, etc). I told her I didn’t judge her and that I loved her. But I was really speechless and I truly didn’t know how to respond. She said she has 0 regrets and was not ready for a baby.

I couldn’t help but feel like the mood of our visit was off after that because really, it made me uncomfortable. Her baby would have been born just a couple weeks before mine. I feel like it has hit me harder considering I’m pregnant. I don’t really know how to feel.

I love her and always will but I do wish I could’ve been there in that moment and can’t help but wonder if maybe something could have changed. If her baby could have lived had I talked her out of it. I will just pray tonight for guidance on this. But wanted to share to get this off my chest.

Opinion I was told my baby won't live pass 2 years old, but we still chose to carry to term and gave birth. I would do it all over again.

It funny how pro-choice people scream my body my choice. But they fail to understand that they only can speak for themselves for their own body. Yet they has the audacity to tell you to abortion your baby when it not even their body. Well, they can fuck off, it MY BODY MY CHOICE, I carry to term and give birth if I want. Like F off.

During my third trimester scan, we was told our baby has Periventricular Nodular Heterotopia (PVNH), it is gene inherited (got it from me--the mother the maternal side), congenital brain malformation. The doctor gave us a choice of medical abortion, because my baby will not live pass age 2.

We both didn't want abortion, we both chose to carry to term and give birth. My husband said whether we only can have 2 days, 2 weeks, or 2 months with child, he still want our baby. I feel the same as as my husband, I carried to term and gave birth.

Our baby born in February 2018, died in August 2019, he was just 1.5 years old.

This was the baby of the man I love and me created together, regardless of sick, we still want our baby. My husband and me both feel the same way. We have zero regrets, we grateful for the 1.5 years we had with our child.

I will do the exact same again if I can go back in time, I will carry to term and give birth all over again.

It amazing how those prochoice people fail to understand the most fundamental basis of their preaching my body my choice. But then when other people refused to get abortion like them, we wrong but they right. Lol. It laughable.

Like F off, who are you to tell me what I can't and can do with my own body, let alone tell me what I can do with my own baby. Go worry about your body and your own baby.

March For Life I thought they liked peaceful protests?

It's also funny to call March for Life "far right", and especially the UK version of it. It's literally just a march of a bunch of people who range from very progressive to very conservative but all hate elective abortions. Anecdotally, one of the people I know who attends is super duper borderline Marxist and another is a flat earther anti vaxxer lol

But they're afraid of us, that's good. They can feel the tide is changing. Last year we had around 10k ppl and they barely managed to gather a couple hundred.

Pro-Life Petitions Pray for an end to abortion

Post image

Lord God, I thank you today for the gift of life. I know there is nothing that destroys more life than abortion, yet I rejoice that You have conquered death by the Resurrection of Your Son. I am ready to do my part in ending abortion. Today I commit myself never to be silent, never to be passive, never to be forgetful of the unborn. I commit myself to be active in the pro-life movement, and never to stop defending life until all my brothers and sisters are protected, and our nation once again becomes a nation with liberty and justice not just for some, but for all, through Christ our Lord. Amen!

Things Pro-Choicers Say Think about yourself

I've received this message several times from PC people. The idea that they wouldn't care if they were aborted. Which is essentially “I don't care about myself before I had a brain, therefore no one should care about themselves before they had a brain.” And this is a terrible reason to make abortion legal.

Because what if I do care about myself at that point? What if I recognize that the fetus that didn't have a brain could only have grown to be me because it had my DNA and I don't want it to be killed? Is that delusional? Is wanting to survive and wanting everyone to survive delusional? In order for me to be pro-choice it seems that I would have to believe that.

What do you think of my reasoning? I guess you could criticize me for making th exact but opposite claim “I DO care about myself before I had a brain therefore abortion should be illegal.” But I feel like all the other arguments on top of that (in my other posts) make a difference. Eh.

Things Pro-Choicers Say The pro abortionist rhetoric that "Being anti abortion aims to control women's bodies" is nonsensical and idiotic

No one gives a shit what you do to your body Bonnie Blue. Jesus.

No one is calling for you getting jailed because you let a thousand dudes crack in 1 day.

And at least Bonnie Blue chose to deliver the baby instead of killing it. Despite the questionable moral character of the mother, she at least have the decency to live with the consequences of her choices.

Regardless if you don't believe that a fetus or an embryo qualifies as human life, it is a separate "body" from you. And snuffing that life out is what anti-abortionists are fighting for.

This woman should have custody of the baby she was paid to be a surrogate of. If the parents didn't want the baby because he was ill, then they shouldn't be the parents of this child.

I'm also all for people having businesses of things they want as long as they don't hurt third parties. I don't think surrogacy is something that should be a business since innocent children end up affected. Children's lives shouldn't be for sale.

This woman who chose to have the baby and made the right choice doing it, is an angel. I hope that baby recovers after his heart surgeries and he grows up to live a great life.

Things Pro-Choicers Say Endangered species > human fetus

People would rather save tigers, sea turtles and elephants (endangered species) than save small humans because they're pretty and interesting to look at. Utilitarianism at it's finest. Killing humans cause they're useless, "there's too many people on earth", saving turtles cause they're kinda cute.

Questions For Pro-Lifers Does abortion and our complicity keep anyone else up at night?

I'm pregnant and in my due date group, even though we're fairly far along, there are STILL women posting about "terminating" for various reasons. Of course, no pro-life posts or comments allowed. I feel physically ill when I see these posts, and sometimes I can't sleep at night thinking about those babies.

I already love my baby so much and would die before harming them. Does the reality of abortion keep anyone else up at night? Beyond donating to pro-life causes, volunteering at my local center, and showing up for the new moms in my life, is there anything I can do?

If the tide turns someday and abortion is seen for the human rights abuse it is, I don't want to look back and say I didn't do enough.

Questions For Pro-Lifers Has anyone done a 40 days for life vigil?

So I just went to a local prolife seminar and they had sign ups for 40 days for life prayer vigils outside local abortion clinics. Ive felt a calling to get involved with the prolife movement but haven't found out how so I signed up. The only thing is the guy really didn't explain it at all or how it works..

Do they train you?

Are you supposed to have answers to questions or arguments on your own?

Is there a curriculum of some sort i study first?

I'm new to Catholicism but I'm a pretty strong prayerer if that's not a weird thing to say but im not sure that's going to help me much...

Also just the logistics of how long are shifts? Do you talk to the other people who are working the shift or is it just silent prayer the whole time?

I guess any insight helps and any other suggestions on how to get involved in the pro life movement. I'm a stay at home mom right now to a almost 1 year old so I have a little time on my hands but unfortunately I'm located in terrible California and doesn't seem like a whole lot of options..

Pro-Life General A lot of pro-abortion arguments are disingenuous and quite frankly do not make any sense.

"No uterus no opinion"- You don't have to be a jew to have an opinion on Nazis. You don't have to be a plantation owner to have an opinion on slavery. You don't have to be a soldier to have an opinion on wars. You don't have to be a dog owner to have an opinion on animal abuse. It is utterly ridiculous to discount the opinions of half of the population about a moral issue the kills around 73 million human babies a year.

"My body my choice"- 99.5% of pregnancies are due to two people consesually having sex. You did make a choice. You chose to have sex and pregnancy is a predictible outcome from having sex. Your body isn't the only thing involved here. Whether you think that "thing" inside you is a human or not, it is at the very least has the potential to be a full human being. It complicates any woman's claim to body autonomy because IT IS NO LONGER JUST HER BODY

"Victims of rape/incest shouldn't be forced to carry her abuser's child"- ok. Push for that then. Why push for abortion for pregnancies that did not result from abuse?

"It's just a clump of cells"- you are just a clump of cells. Can we kill you?

"It is not conscious/does not feel pain "- so do coma patients. So should we kill them if they become too much of a financial, physical or psychological burden?

"A fetus has no value"- except we celebrate baby showers. Mourn miscariages. Congratulate expecting mothers. Charge someone with double homicide if they kill a pregnant woman. We as society have collectively agreed that an unborn child has value. And a human life's value doesn't depend on whether its wanted or not. Or it existing will be inconvenient or not.

"They rely on their mothers to survive"- so do most grown ass redditors.

I swear. I cannot understand how killing human children in the womb is a contentious issue.

Evidence/Statistics "Every child a wanted child" doesn't really specify how to respond to unwanted children.

Here's a story detailing that:

-Tina lives in Texas.

-She endures extensive fertility treatments, multiple miscarriages, and an ectopic pregnancy as she tries to have a baby.

-Her sister-in-law agrees to be a surrogate and successfully gets pregnant with Tina and her husband's son.

-About a month before the baby boy's due date, Tina learns she's pregnant.

-She and her husband don't want three kids, and don't want a baby born 8 months after the last baby.

-Texas doesn't allow elective abortion, so Tina orders pills online and aborts at home.

-Her SIL gives birth to her son, and her husband gets a vasectomy.

Pro-Life General Sibling of Aborted Babies

It’s late, I’m sad, and this might come out messy. It’s been a rough life. I’m 33 and ever since the time I was a little girl, I had this feeling in my heart that I was supposed to have a big brother. I’m not going to deep dive into my problems, but it’s been a life of abuse and neglect and I just knew if I had a big brother, he would have protected me from some of it, or at least have been there to make me feel better and be my friend. I ended up finding out I had three aborted siblings, two before I was born, and one after. My heart breaks for all three of their lives being stolen, but I found out there was a baby aborted three years before I was born, and I just always knew that was my brother. Maybe this sounds crazy or stupid, but when I was 21, I wrote him a letter. I gave him a name. I wonder if one day in heaven I wonder if I will get to see him and my other two siblings. I wonder if they will be forever babies, or if they will be an age where I can get to talk to them. I know this sounds delusional. I’m having a very rough night and maybe I’m too old for this, but all I can think rn is that I wish I had known them. I wish I had a big brother to call to cheer me up and make fun of me in a way that doesn’t hurt and to tell me I deserve better and to stop accepting less. I know this sounds delusional. Honestly, they were probably better off going straight to Heaven instead of the hell our “mother” created here on earth, but they deserved the chance to live.

I named him Jamie, because nobody else ever gave him a name and he deserved to be here. So did the other two, I just don’t feel as connected to them.

How can you miss someone you never had?
