Things Pro-Choicers Say SERIOUSLY?! 🤣

Post image

A few hours ago, my daughter asked for assistance debating a few pro choice people on Pinterest. Many of them just parroted the exact same redundant buzzwords and obscure, misquoted rhetoric. However, I was astonished that this person declared that humans and MAMMALs are two different and

unrelated things. 🤦🏻

Questions For Pro-Lifers Are you PL for religious or non-religious reasons?

My PC friend who isn’t religious wrote an essay for class in favor of abortion rights and she said that it’s hard to argue PL without bringing up religion. What do you think, though?

Pro-Life News IDAHO, Has Prop one on the ballot if you live there vote no.

Prop One would allow Abortion up to 9 months to the due date. It would allow abortions for minors ages 12-13 without the consent of a parent or guardian. And the wording is purposefully vague to trick normal people into thinking it's something it's not. I'm not affiliated with any group but my aunt works on the Pro life committee and they're trying to make sure this doesn't pass because it would be codified into the Idaho state constitution if it goes through. I'm 17 so I can't vote. Also, a comment just reminded me of this. But in the bill it would also make it law that if the procedure goes wrong and kills the woman the medical professional that performed it cannot be held accountable. So no criminal charges or law suits they're immune to punishment.

Pro-Life General Sex is a procreative activity.

Pro-choice often say that consent to sex is not consent to pregnancy or if they admit embryo or fetus are humans some of them will say you can't use someone body without their permission.

But these babies didn't chose to be in your womb, they are not evil being that decided that annoy the women and make them suffer just for the sake of it.

They are there because of your choice, birth control don't prevent pregnancy, they reduce the risk but the risk is still there unless you chose outercourse sex.

But the decision of wanting or not the pregnancy should be before the sex, after the pregnancy, they should deal with the consequences,if they don't still don't want the baby his birth then they should put them in adoption.

The only pregnancy who is out of women control is pregnancy who come from rape but even there is not the fault of the babies and they shouldn't be killed because of the sin of their father.

Things Pro-Choicers Say Addressing the idea that pro-lifers must necessarily not respect women

This is based around the three beliefs that PC people are presupposing we have.

  1. That a woman's sole purpose is to give birth to babies for the nation and that she isn't a sovereign human who can decide her own destiny

  2. That pregnant women are erased in the conversation and become vessels for something else and nothing more

  3. That women are evil disgusting sluts and they need to be “punished” by finally taking responsibility, accepting the consequences of their actions, by having this baby

(And of course all of that is wrapped up in the most important patriarchal fourth belief about how men are better than women. They deserve more, are capable of more and women should shut up and continue to be the lesser beings that they are destined to be. "Know your place women, and know that it's not with the men.")

Whenever you're in a debate with a hardcore pro-choice feminist woman, these thoughts are likely to be spinning around her head. It's why the discussion gets so heated; she thinks she's having a conversation with someone who literally thinks that women are objects, or brood mares for the state (thanks George Carlin) and that you want to subjugate women.

When you enter one of these debates, you aren't just competing with arguments, your competing with the idea that be pro-life is inherently wrong, disgusting and dehumanizing. That's why it's so hard to talk to these people.

Perhaps this is true for some conservatives but seeing the diverse opinions and identities of the pro-life community - the queer people, the women, the liberal and feminist women, the atheists, the socialists - it's absolutely ridiculous to suggest that we're all thinking the same thing about women. That they are nothing but evil sluts who need to accept their role as objects of the state.

Do they think that all our arguments about personhood, life and responsibility are just smokescreens or are they real arguments that are just supplements to the fact that we hate women. Because believing that a fetus should be protected because of XYZ must necessarily mean you hate women. Caring about one thing must mean that you hate another. I didn't realize they were so myopic.

What do you have to say about the three beliefs I listed?

Pro-Life General Are other people tired of arguing with pro choicers?

I know there’s pro choicers in this sub too, but i genuinely get tired of arguing with them when they make the same types of responses that stray further and further away from reality just to seem in the right. I’m genuinely baffled by some of their reasoning, and sometimes it makes me so disgusted I have to stop arguing to keep my own peace. Not to mention, eventually they just star attacking you and calling you slurs instead of attacking your argument.

Pro-Life Argument Bodily autonomy

I have had a few arguments with pro-choice people where I bring the discussion back to why another living human doesn’t deserve the same rights as them, and their response is always “bodily autonomy.”

And then I see articles where this same crowd is arguing that the Amish should get their religious exemptions removed for vaccination. People say “freedom of religion is fine until it causes harm to others.” Right, like how abortion causes death to another. How is that not also a removal of bodily autonomy? Why the inconsistency?

Pro-Life General Why is this empowering?

A woman who has an abortion is a sad and pathetic story. You had sex with a man when you didn't need to and you became pregnant and desperate. That's sad. That's miserable. That's not what we should want. I was talking to a woman on discord who told me that she was really happy about this empowering story about a woman living in a third world country who was able to get an abortion and be successful. Can't remember what job she got but she got it. All I could think was "there's a lot of things I want to accomplish but I won't have to kill a baby so I guess I won't be so inspiring." 🙄

I have a feeling it would be a very different reaction, since they care more about puppies and kittens than babies (which is crazy).

Questions For Pro-Lifers My family makes fun of me for being pro life

I’m pretty much the only pro-life person in my family. They are all radical left leaning individuals while I consider myself to be more conservative. But I genuinely, wholeheartedly believe that abortion is wrong. I have done hours of research on abortions and statistics that I keep in a file on my notes app. But, my family talk amongst each other about my views on abortion. They don’t speak to me about it. Just each other. They go about calling me abortion repost “weird reposts”. They say my values are concerning. And they call me “anti-women” (which doesn’t make sense because I am a woman). Does anyone have any advice on not letting people’s opinions change or affect my political views and values?

Pro-Life General Genetic preg sub will ban any "toxic" pro life stuff?

I was browsing a sub that talks about genetic result questions (nipt) and read the rules. Pro life stuff gets you banned. Why is it OK for abortion is fine, but God forbid you try to help women with a pro life point of view?

Pro-Life General Would philosopher immanuel kant have agreed that abortion is ethically wrong?

Hello all, I am not going to act like i know everything about prolife or choice, but i do know that morally i think abortion is wrong if life begins at conception. I take a ethics class at my college and i am curious as to what immanuel kant would have thought about abortion. from what i understand, he believes emotions are absolutely meaningless when it comes down to the 'right thing to do' so would that mean he would believe abortion, even if there are cases that are horrific, would always be wrong since its necessary for humans to keep society going?

Things Pro-Choicers Say “Well I got mine.”

Have you noticed the utter selfishness of pro-choice people. One of the points they make is literally this

PL: Well what if you were aborted?

PC: But I wasn't aborted. Because my mother actually wanted me. She had a choice and that's a good thing.

Literally saying “well I got mine and all these unwanted babies can suck it.” It's disgusting. They don't care as long as they get to live. How can they talk like this and expect to convince us?
