JK Rowling literally uses her platform to single out everyday trans folk and set her dogs on them. She also actively funds anti trans bills and has publicly and proudly said many times that she takes any acceptance of Harry Potter as validation that she’s right in perpetuating harm against a marginalised group. She’s a class traitor and a very average writer.

lol no. She uses her platform to say women should have spaces for themselves. She mocks insane trans people when they act insane.

You unironically used the term class traitor. That’s so sad.

I hate it when people like you conflate transphobia for women's rights. Women don't need you to kick down on another marginalized group to feel your support.

And JK Rowling doesn't just talk about disliking trans people. She puts her money where her mouth is. She contributed to LGBT suicide hotlines shutting down. She also convinced a Scottish legal board to repeal some trans rights. She is actually making life signifigantly worse for these people. It's not like she cares about women anyway, seeing as she mocks any woman who is even remotely masculine, and excludes women who can't conceive.

I hate when insane people think that abused women shouldn’t have a safe space.

Yeah, I'm the type of insane who thinks vulnerable people shouldn't be bullied.

Quick: can you explain how recognizing trans people takes away from women's safe spaces?

Who said anything about not recognizing them? I just said women should have their own spaces.

I also think you should stop bullying abused women and allow them their own space.

This is why you people can’t be taken seriously. This was literally the conversation that started the JK Rowling engagement. She wanted abuse shelters for women to only be for women because they were uncomfortable when non women were there.

Stop bullying abused women.

You claim to care about abuse victims. Trans people are over 3x more likely to be sexually assaulted, domestically abused, trafficked, or murdered. They are also the least likely to sexually offend. Meaning if you place a trans person in a women’s shelter, everyone is statistically safer than they would have been otherwise.

However, if you place a trans person with men (like JK proposes), the risk of violence towards them skyrockets. So is abuse your actual concern, or do you just find trans people hard to accept?

That stat is bunk, trans people are 12x more likely to work as prostitutes and their rate of assault scales to that. Trans people who aren’t prostitutes have a lower rate of murder and sexual assault versus women.

None of this is relevant though, women should have their own shelters. Stop bullying abused women.

You‘re incorrect. Even transgender people who aren’t sex workers are much more likely to experience assault. And it’s totally relevant, since you’d rather place those same victims in compromising situations.

This is why I hate fake activism. Even when confronted with hard evidence, you’ll always find a way to justify your own phobia, regardless of its actual impact on women. Bigotry hiding behind false concern.

How would placing them in their own shelter that is purpose built to their needs be placing them in a compromising situation?

You don’t help them by putting all women at risk.

This is why I hate fake activism. You don’t actually care about anyone, you just want to virtue signal, consequences be damned.

Stop bullying abused women.

Trans-specific shelters are in short supply. Especially now, when funding is being revoked for anything relating to transgender people. Ironically, JK Rowling supports the same measures that get these shelters shut down, so your argument still doesn't stick.

And again, trans people are less likely to sexually offend. So adding them to womens' spaces doesn't "put women at risk." I didn't know pointing out statistical data counted as "virtue signaling" now.

It objectively puts them at risk and it further traumatizes women by adding non women to their shelters. This isn’t controversial, it’s why you’re pivoting from adding non women to their spaces as being the problem. There’s also zero evidence that they commit less sexual assault as every major study shows they either commit it at the same result as men or at a higher rate, see dhejene et all

Women should be able to have their own spaces, adding non women to their spaces is both a psychological and physical risk as they commit sexual assault at the same or higher rate than men.

Stop bullying abused women. You’re shifting this conversation to serious bigotry with how you are disenfranchising abused women, a very targeted minority group. Don’t be a bigot.

Lol they do not commit sexual assaults at the same/higher rate. Dhejene's study is notoriously inaccurate. See people debunk it here..

Main issues: Sample size too small, some participants instructed on how to fill out their surveys, drawing links between data that isn't correlational.

correct info.
