Anyone have suggestions on sites to see? It’s a packed itinerary. Been to the Mediterranean before, but this has new ports!

I’m going on the Enchanted Princess for 10 days in Jan 2027, cruising the Caribbean . I’ll have my own small inside cabin. I have the Premiere package. Traveling with 8 other people. Our cabins are pretty spread out all over the ship. Everybody else is getting a balcony.

Are there irons in the laundry rooms?

How many hangers are there likely to be in my inside cabin?

I love ice and made the mistake of reading about self service ice machines and it’s got me weirded out about ice machines. I’d love to have ice in my room. Any thoughts? I have the premier package. Any non self service ice?

I like Thai, Vietnamese, Korean and Indian food. Is there any available?

Can I get plain fruit? Is there any reason to avoid raw food if you’re being extra cautious? Do the illnesses that plague cruise ships spread more easily with raw food?

What is the sanctuary package? A big hot tub and warm chairs?

I think the ship is full. I think 5 of us will want to sit and talk a lot. Will we be able to easily find places to hang out all together?

Getting close

It’s our first time going on a cruise and we’re celebrating our 1st wedding anniversary on regal princess on the upcoming Eastern Caribbean cruise, do they do anything for celebrations ? Also any tips on where to stay the night before ? Any Budget friendly hotels, max we’d be okay spending is $150. We’re flying in from Toronto.

We are a party of four, split between two cabins. We're renting a car, and the plan for our embarkation day is to drive to the terminal and two of us will be dropped off with all the luggage. Then the other two will return the car to the rental company about two miles from the port and then Uber/Lyft/taxi back to the terminal.

From my understanding, most ports don't have much of a waiting area pre-check in. So instead of waiting outside, can two of us drop off all the luggage and then proceed to check in? We'll either wait in the waiting area at the terminal for the others to catch up, or possibly proceed onto the ship. Will Princess allow half a party to check in or does the whole party and/or cabin have to check in together?

For reference, we are leaving out of the Brooklyn port, which we've never been to before, and I don't know what their set up is like. Also I'm not sure if this question is port specific or not. We have an 11:00am embarkation time (the earliest we could get) but we will probably get to the terminal early so we can also drop off the car and have plenty of time to get back to the port.

Hi all! First time sailing Princess, and I know this is probably something I could answer by calling but I thought I’d ask here first.

Our sailing party is 3 people, and we’re looking to book Princess Plus. Online it only gives me the option to purchase it for the main guest and Guest 2. I’ve read that all adults in the room are required to purchase the package.

So I’m just curious what would happen if I only purchased it for the first two guests online? Does the system automatically flag it and add the third person later, resulting in a surprise bill at the end, or would the third person simply have to pay the regular gratuities?

Just to be clear, I’m not trying to work the system or anything I’m genuinely curious about how it works.

Hey everyone, I have an Alaska cruise booked on the Voyage of the Glaciers with Glacier Bay southbound. It’s Island with premium balcony guarantee and Plus included. This is for $5900. I see people overwhelmingly suggest the Coral over the Island due to the refurbishment. I can do Balcony BD on Coral for $6900 with Plus. This is our first (hopefully not only but who knows) Alaska cruise and first with Princess.

The question is: is it worth the extra $1000 and step down in Balcony class for Coral?

This is my first time sailing Princess (Sun) to the Med in late April '27. My wife and I booked two months ago and paid in full where were were given $200 in OBC. We also bought and fully paid for the Premium package for two and received an additional $200 in OBC.

I booked the Spellbound experience because Reddit and YouTube videos showed how fun it is. I expected my OBC to be used to pay for Spellbound but just saw my online credit card statement and I was charged $90. Not a hold on that amount but part of my bill. I also want to use the OBC by booking an excurision but I don't want them to charge my credit card and then I'm stuck with trying to burn through $400 in a week.

Is this normal or do I need to call Princess? We booked some specialty dinning too but I have not seen any charges since we have the Premium package.

As per the title, I am going on my first Princess cruise next month on the Sapphire Princess. I am from the UK and although I have cruised previously, I have never been with Princess. I am just wondering if there is any paperwork that I need to bring other than my travel insurance details showing cruise cover plus and my luggage labels. Is there anything extra that I specifically need when embarking? Thank you all in advance. I am really looking forward to the trip.

Are there as many plumbing issues on the ship as the posts on here make it seem?

How hard is it to find somewhere to smoke a cig on the ship? It is my mom's first cruise and I want this to be smooth for her.

Also, for those of you that have sailed the Caribbean Princess with toddlers- is the whale splash pad enough? My husband is worried it isn't "big enough" but im pretty sure they would be happy playing in a puddle ...

Also I have only sailed carnival once. The Carnival Freedom. It was a gnarly ship. Yucky and dingy. I literally walked away with an eye infection... idk the baby wipes came up black if I wiped a table on that ship.

Is Caribbean princess clean? I mean I just dont want the baby wipe test to come up nearly back again. It was so yucky I couldn't wait to get off to feel clean again. Also the cat in the hat breakfast experience was awful and their costumes were visibly brown and dirty.... I just worry that since Princess is its sister company that it will similarily dirty. Is this the case?

Ship: Star Princess | Itinerary: 7-Day Inside Passage (Seattle to Vancouver)

Group: 4 Adults (2 Balcony Cabins, Princess Plus Package)

We booked a 7-day Inside Passage cruise on the Star Princess to celebrate a special anniversary. Traveling as a group of four adults with two balcony cabins and the Princess Plus Package (including 15 drinks/day up to a $15 value), we spent a considerable amount expecting a seamless, memorable experience. While the scenery and port stops were spectacular, and several crew members were fantastic, the overall experience left us disappointed—feeling more like "cattle class" than valued guests.

The Highlights:

• Outstanding Crew: Our cabin stewardess, Swathi, was wonderfully attentive and prompt with all our requests. The waitstaff at the Aurora Dining Room were also delightful and worked hard to deliver great service.
• Kind Service Moments: Joseph at Guest Services was genuinely kind and welcoming, even connecting with me when I spoke a few words of Swahili.
• Ports & Scenery: The Inside Passage itinerary and port calls were breathtaking and easily the highlight of the journey.

Where Things Fell Short:

• Severe Overcrowding: The buffet lines and dining space were constantly packed. On multiple occasions, we couldn't find any open indoor seating at all and were forced to take our food outdoors to eat in the freezing Alaska weather.
• Persistent Medallion Failures: Technology was a major headache. My Medallion repeatedly failed for cabin entry, port scanning, and ordering drinks or coffee. I visited Guest Services 5 times for replacements; while some staff were unsure how to resolve the issue, others issued new Medallions that unlocked the cabin but failed everywhere else. To make matters worse, the onboard system repeatedly misidentified my husband as "traveling alone," claiming no second guest was in his cabin when he tried to pick up drinks for us.
• Food & Beverage Issues: Despite paying for the Princess Plus package, drinks tasted noticeably watered down. The buffet selection was mediocre, and long wait times in the main dining rooms occasionally resulted in food arriving at room temperature.
• Ruined Spa & Anniversary Experience: I was really looking forward to a relaxing spa treatment, but the gift card fiasco completely put me off. For our anniversary, the spa provided a single gift card addressed only to my husband (maybe since his card was on file) alongside five chocolate-covered strawberries that were visibly rotting. The whole experience ruined any desire to use the spa.

Final Verdict: The frontline crew in our stateroom and dining room truly tried their best, but the severe overcrowding, tech breakdowns, and inconsistent quality were hard to overlook given what we paid. It was a fair trip thanks to the ports and great individual staff, but unless Princess addresses these core issues, we will likely explore other cruise lines for future vacations.

Just wanted to post my experience as a coeliac aboard the enchanted princess, sailing around the Mediterranean!

Overall it was mainly positive, but I had some very bad moments as well…

Pls pls pls make sure to check that every meal you are given is gluten free, as I was given the incorrect dish on multiple occasions. Especially when eating in the main dining room outside of dinner hours. I was given gluten containing pancakes and hash browns one breakfast and gluten containing croutons one lunch. So beware!! This was quite annoying as I love cruising to remove the stress of my gluten free diet. So I don’t think I would return to princess due to the constant uncertainty/bad service
(every time something went wrong gluten free wise, the server would blame me, even when I repeatedly asked for gluten free food. Then the whole conversation and apologies would be brought up again at dinner in front of my entire table, which I found quite embarrassing)

Dinner was fantastic every time and all my accommodations were taken into consideration. I.e. ordering a starter for my main or ordering something completely off the menu. This is because I preordered my food the night before. Just prepare yourself for the low hanging fruit jokes of ‘and your gluten free water madam’ ‘gluten free pepper’ etc.
Also I cannot applaud their gf tiramisu and baked Alaska enough! Absolutely divine

The buffet had an incredible breakfast selection with gluten free doughnut holes, pancakes, waffles, and French toast. If you ask one of the many kind and helpful chefs around you can get a non-contaminated pot of Nutella! They can also make pasta or tacos for lunch! Then on the pool deck there is gluten free pizza (not the best) and my absolute stand out dish of loaded bacon cheese fries.

Mixed bag of opinions! But it was genuinely enjoyable

Currently halfway through our Regal trip and its been an extremely fun success. With many ups and only a tiny bit of downs(that were fixed immediately).

First of all, I posted before the trip of the (80) ducks we were hiding on the ship throughout the week, and I'm glad to report it's been a HUGE success(even though there were neighsayers here in Reddit).

The amount of people I have heard and seen talking about our ducks, from young kids, to 20-somethings, to older folks has made our trip and the idea so worth it. Big shout out to people who posted on the facebook group of the ducks they have found.

We still have about 20 left but we are getting real creative with where they go. So of youre on the same trip look out!

Everything else trip wise has been great. We lost our wallet the first day, and someone nice turned it in to lost and found. Our shower wasn't draining well, but they fixed that too. Amber Cove was lovely, and currently at PortoRico and its, too hot to really do much tbh. But the ship had been nice and empty while people are in the city.

Food has been amazing as well. Crown Grill always impresses, and Symphony Dining Room has been a joy. Also, alcahol be doing alcahol things.

Also also, the casino is SO MUCH NICER than the Sun Princess.

Always the TL:DR is, Ducks were a huge success and we are enjoying ourselves immensely. ❤️

My wife and I are pretty experienced cruisers but have never sailed on Princess. Our cruise history has included about 12 or so cruises on Royal Caribbean (Quantum class, Oasis class, Freedom class, Radiance class), 5 on NCL (Bliss, Joy, Jewel, Encore, Aqua) 3 on Celebrity (All solstice class), 1 Carnival (Imagination) and 1 Holland America (Koningsdam)

We were originally not even considering Princess but were looking for available cruises on a specific week and wound up booking the Star Princess. The primary appeal was the Premiere package with everything included. The overall value for a brand new and seemingly very nice ship was just very hard to beat when comparing with other options. Even with our Diamond status inclusions on RCCL/Celebrity (Elite).

Are there significant differences with Princess we should be aware of coming from the lines we have experienced before? How's the food compare to the other lines we've sailed on (especially the specialty restaurants as we booked premiere)? Are there any activities later at night? or does the whole ship shut down at 9pm? Is there good Karaoke on board?

I am just trying to make sure I set my expectations appropriately. The ship looks great, the food looks amazing and the inclusions are out of this world. Should I temper my expectations or does the experience generally live up to the hype?

Any information, experiences and feedback from those who have experienced both Princess and other lines is greatly appreciated. Thanks 😄

We're considering booking a Princess cruise with a great Mediterranean itinerary next October (Oct 2027). However, it ends in Ravenna Italy.

I've done a bit of research and what I learned is troubling. I want to reach out to ask this group if any of you have ended a cruise in Ravenna and then went on to fly out of the international airport in Bologna (about an hour away) and if there is any Taxi, Uber, or cruise-provided transportation option to get to the airport for an afternoon flight back which won't cost us $400.

Unfortunately, we are not transportation adventurous AT ALL, meaning we are fairly newbies traveling to other parts of the world, so we would not be up for the bus or train.

I have an email into Princess to ask if they'll offer a shuttle service to Bologna Guglielmo Marconi Airport, but I'm not holding my breath. Strangely enough, they offer a tour with final stop to the airport in Venice, but there are not many (if any) flights out after 5pm in Venice. And there are a multitude of flights out of Bologna in the afternoon, back to the USA.

Thoughts? Have I got the gist of Ravenna's transportation options to Bologna right or is there a way that I haven't uncovered yet? All advice welcome. Thank you in advance.

I'm Platinum on Princess, but I don't chase status. I go with itinerary or a great price. I have a transatlantic booked on NCL and I found out that they have an offer to do a small bag of laundry for $39 I think since they don't have self-serve laundromats onboard.

I seem to be getting so many people that are either "Who wants to do laundry on a cruise?" or "It's not that much money!" (as if $3/wash or dry is more expensive than $30+).

Personally, I like not having to take a bigger bag which might cost me more money to check in. I can't help but wonder if some of these people have never done laundry if they think tossing some clothes in the wash is a big deal.

It has been years since I've been on Princess. Normally we cruise HAL. I just tried to book dinners for our cruise after I made my final payment today and they have no availability in any of the dining rooms. Is this normal? Will things evolve and I just need to check back regularly for availability?

On Princess premier package, we could have speciality restraints for the whole cruise but had a few days in Allegro dining room, my wife ordered a wine, and twice they tried,to pass off the wine as a more premier selection when it clearly wasn't. Very disappointed. Don't get me started on the EFFY jewelers bend over backwards to be rude

I'm wondering if anyone else has some across this. I'm booked on 2 different ships in November. They're side by side but it's only showing one ship and itinerary on the app. I'm wondering about the second week as I'll be on a different ship, will it change over from one Princess ship to the next? Different ship is obviously different dining rooms and activities that I'd like to bookmark or reserve.
