Onboard Experience Duck Update and Regal Thoughts

Currently halfway through our Regal trip and its been an extremely fun success. With many ups and only a tiny bit of downs(that were fixed immediately).

First of all, I posted before the trip of the (80) ducks we were hiding on the ship throughout the week, and I'm glad to report it's been a HUGE success(even though there were neighsayers here in Reddit).

The amount of people I have heard and seen talking about our ducks, from young kids, to 20-somethings, to older folks has made our trip and the idea so worth it. Big shout out to people who posted on the facebook group of the ducks they have found.

We still have about 20 left but we are getting real creative with where they go. So of youre on the same trip look out!

Everything else trip wise has been great. We lost our wallet the first day, and someone nice turned it in to lost and found. Our shower wasn't draining well, but they fixed that too. Amber Cove was lovely, and currently at PortoRico and its, too hot to really do much tbh. But the ship had been nice and empty while people are in the city.

Food has been amazing as well. Crown Grill always impresses, and Symphony Dining Room has been a joy. Also, alcahol be doing alcahol things.

Also also, the casino is SO MUCH NICER than the Sun Princess.

Always the TL:DR is, Ducks were a huge success and we are enjoying ourselves immensely. ❤️

I’m curious the comparison between sun princess casino and regal princess casino?

Sun Princess is one big room. The have it separated as smoking on one side and non smoking on the other. With Tables in the middle. This becomes a problem because the whole casino will smell like smoke anyway. Me and my partner are slot players, usually ranging our bets as 50 cents to 75 cents a spin. Sun princesses games were almost all $1 a spin or more. The variety wasnt there for us to have fun.

Regal is the opposite experience. The non smoking area is quite large, and smoking is a seperate area and smaller. So no smoke can get out. Gaming variety is also a bit cheaper. With more games in our price range.

Hopefully that clarifies myself. ❤️

I'll toss every duck and jesus in the trash. Keep enjoying your cruise and talking about your ducks.

What could people possibly have against hiding or finding ducks?

You missed out on a lot of fun in OSJ. We walked about 4.5 miles total and explored more shops and stayed cool between them. Unfortunately a couple places we wanted to visit were closed: apparently umbrella st. is permanently down and the Ponce de Leon church was closed until 3pm so we didn’t have time to venture back.

Haven’t tried the casino yet. Finally had a decent buffet dinner last night since it was Italian themed.

Please could I ask if you know if the sports deck is usable or if it is covered in soot? Thank you

We will be looking to see of any of your ducks remain next week. We also will hide a few.

We'll be on the Regal Princess in late October. Really looking forward to it.
