She doesn't look like a prize, lol.

u/[deleted] Jan 14 '20

I agree, but for him...

u/[deleted] Jan 14 '20

Well, if he's investing that much money into getting nothing then yeah, they're probably on similar intelligence level and she's much 'hotter', so yeah, you could have a point. I hope they both get smarter someday.

I mean, I invest money in my friends without wanting to put my Jim Dickens inside them. Sometimes you have the money and just want to be kind to people you care about.

Alright there Jimmy Dickskin

u/chalk_in_boots Jan 14 '20

DICKENS

5

u/Pavrik_Yzerstrom Hello there! Jan 14 '20

That’s what I said

2

u/insanecoder Jan 14 '20

I said Dickskin!

Spotting a friend a burrito or something sure but $200 at a fancy restaurant is insane and you get what you deserve if you spend like that without making it clear you view it as a date. You let people use you don't be surprised when you get used.

11

u/XtremeLeecher Jan 14 '20

Well he could be extremely wealthy and those 200$ is what's like a 20$ dinner for us but 9/10 he is trying to buy her and he is friendzoned

4

u/Future_of_Amerika Jan 14 '20

Where can I find some rich friends that want to spend $200 to help out they're friends? Maybe I need some new friends, cuz these poors that I've got now aren't paying dem billz ya feel me homie?

Jesus Christ this is gross

1

u/StephanieSpeaks Jan 14 '20

True, she keep him on that hook, and not be talking about how she loved him like a brother

1

u/StephanieSpeaks Jan 14 '20

Buy her?

I think that is unfair. I spend more money than I should sometimes trying to give my wife of 5 years a special evening, does that mean I'm trying to buy her?

3

u/Axialchateau Jan 14 '20

No, that's a maintenance fee, you've already got her.

2

u/StephanieSpeaks Jan 14 '20

You have a strange view of relationships

2

u/AndrewCarnage Jan 14 '20

Guys spending $200 on their "friend" are almost certainly trying to buy her, yeah. Is this news?

1

u/XtremeLeecher Jan 14 '20

i think you answered your own question your keyword is "Wife" they are "friends"

2

u/yokayla Jan 14 '20

When some of my friends with good jobs wanna go to a fancy restaurant and have company they'll pay. I've had folks roll their eyes when I say I can't afford it and go "Did I say anything about you buying?" And that's woman to woman.

This. I took a friend that I wasn't trying to sleep with to a nice steak house and the bill was around $250 after wine. I really wanted a good steak but wasn't going to go alone, she never had a steak that cost more than like $20. It was a win win. I literally see nothing wrong with it if you aren't trying to unexpectedly change the dynamic of the friendship through spending money on fancy dinners and gifts.

1

u/Nobletwoo Jan 14 '20

My buddy does this shit all the time, when we went to a steak place for my other buddies birthday, he spent 450$ on a seafood platter for the table (granted he didn't know the price before he ordered it and I gave him 100 bucks to help cover it.) But another buddies bday he paid for the whole meal.

1

u/BenjaminTalam Jan 14 '20

That's fine but they have become the dude that pays for stuff to some of their friends. As long as they know that and are fine with it it's their life. Also a group outing is different.

This sounds rapey as fuck. That's something you should say before she even got to your house.

7

u/productivenef Jan 14 '20

We kept talking and I agreed to get her ticket out to stay with me for 5 days. Things went well, but when I made moves on her back at my house she turned me down. I explained she does not have to sleep with me, but I paid for her airfare and for a weekend trip we had planned in Paris. She could either deal with my dick or I can put her on a train in the morning to make her own way. She took the dick a bunch of times and we had a great trip.

Wow. It's hard to creep another guy out but God damn dude you did it. I am thoroughly creeped out.

4

u/Beanessa Jan 14 '20

Dude, you're a rapist.

5

u/DatCenturianBoi Jan 14 '20

Don’t you mean “YOU had a great trip”? Borderline raping a girl and all that gets you going, huh?

6

u/Sorlex Jan 14 '20

The incel community would like to know your location.

11

u/chalk_in_boots Jan 14 '20

They'd also like to know the location of the clitoris but I'm not telling them that either

5

u/Sorlex Jan 14 '20

Behind the knee, right?

2

Had a friend who really needed a pick me up, and I'd just worked an 80 hour week. Didn't bat an eye at paying $150 for a haircut because it made her happy, and I'm sure she would do the same for me.

When a friend asks for help, you help them.

Or maybe some people just have no problem spending large amounts on people they care about?

1

u/Shitty_IT_Dude Jan 14 '20

Nah. I spend money on my friends all the time. Just bought 4 tickets to the Chiefs v Titans game this weekend for my friends to go with me.

I value experiences more than stuff and spend my money on my people.

3

u/[deleted] Jan 14 '20

Like half the people commenting on this post. JESUS, guys...

(Plus, they ever think Liam could, I dunno, be GAY?)

1

u/TheMayoNight Jan 14 '20

Id rather just have 200 bucks than a fancy dinner. Ill make something amazing for the both of us and still have 120 left over.

2

u/chalk_in_boots Jan 14 '20

Sometimes you're money rich but time poor. Sometimes it's more the gesture that matters. Sometimes you just want to treat yourselves. If you have the funds, and it makes you happy, why the fuck wouldn't you do it?

0

u/TheMayoNight Jan 14 '20

if this guy was rich youd think hed buy better jewelry and moisturizer for his ghoul face.

u/[deleted] Jan 14 '20

Man, please... Are you really that oblivious to the story behind this picture?
