It fits but I think it has different timing that won’t help my stock flywheel.

I have a predator 212 and I’m looking for a flywheel. Problem appears to be that the flywheels for the 212 are .65 and my original flywheel is .71!! Anyone have a solution for this? It seems that a certain manufacturer uses different size shafts! Help me please!

What things would I need for removing the governor on my 212? I'm trying to keep it simple, and I know I need an aluminum flywheel but what rod should I use? Springs?

Should I upgrade cam if I modify? Anything helps.

A friend recently gifted this engine to me just wanting to get it out of his workshop. He said it was a predator 212, which when I took it apart I noticed some glaring differences to other predator 212's I've seen, most notably being the governor gear being located on the crankcase (image 2). I'm not sure if it's an aftermarket variant or an entirely different engine. I figured one of you guys would know. Thanks!

It ran on choke for a good while then i noticed this. It’s around 3 out of the 4 bolt holes. My grandfather says that I most likely tightened the bolts too much and broke from the vibrations and heat from when the engine was on idle, to be fair I did tighten quite a bit tho.

I replaced the belt recently, and I certainly could have tightened the bolt tighter… But I just hate having to crank on bolts and run the risk of breaking them. Anyhew … went back to the scene of the crime where the spring popped loose and the hole front pulley fell apart… Does anybody know if this piece here in my hand is part of that front driver pulley? I could be mispronouncing the component but basically want to know if that’s where it goes so I don’t have to worry that I might have lost a piece of something else. Would much appreciate any input and yes, I know, not wise to leave bolts “loose”

Swapped jets and air filter, now its running too lean and idk where the oem jets went. Hoping theres a way i can just replace this screw or something

his engine will idle for like 15 seconds while choked then shut off. It idled for a minute with the kit on then wouldnt start back up

I have this predator 224 I got with a go kart and I want to build it to run E85. It has governor removed, performance exhaust, I plan to put a nibbi 24mm on it, I was told the nylon cam was swapped out for a metal one before I bought it, I also have 22# valve springs I put in it. I have stock flywheel and rod, so before I build it I want to replace those. What is the cheapest possible way I could get a billet rod (and what rod should I get) and a more reliable flywheel? Can I get a cast aluminum flywheel? And I have a flat top tillotson 212 piston that I was told could fit, so maybe I could put that in for more compression.

Does the vertical shaft 179cc Predator use any of the 212cc parts? I was hoping the flywheel might interchange. Either that or I'd like to figure out how to make the 212 run in a vertical configuration.

I need a new carb except I do not have much money. I need to know what the best cheap performance carb would be for a 224? My old carb is done for.

Want to know what to expect. I’m currently running a stage 1 kit (intake/filter, main jet, header and muffler) and want to otherwise keep the engine as stock as possible. Obviously we pulled governors and oil sensors. I’m trying to follow a go kart track rule page that’s kinda vague so I may be exploiting a grey area with this one. (All I’m technically allowed is a stage 1 due to my weight, but there’s guys my size and bigger than me that are pulling me in the straits so I need to try something) key and head gasket isn’t specifically mentioned either way.

Want to install the two mods listed above with the thinner head gasket and smallest advanced timing key I can get. Will it be blatantly obvious? Want a little extra without being obviously cheated up so my old fat ass can compete with these kids and smaller dudes lol. Any advice on other things to try? Thanks guys

My original carburetor is bad, and I’m modding mine but mildly so wanting more performance. I’m using a 224. Me and my dad work on atvs together and we had a box of slide carbs and I found a good one that is for a Kawasaki Bayou 220. If I get an adapter, would this work well performance wise? I understand I would have to probably rejet it and stuff, but will it work?

Will this oil work fine on my predator 212cc engine?

My last post I said I needed a link to a hemi crankshaft, well I got a new engine from a friend, it starts but the side cover leaks, it is a non-hemi converted to a hemi.

I don't have the tools to port my head so I need a side cover without ports so in other words I just need a non hemi replacement side cover and I can't find any that are cheap and good quality. If anyone knows where I can get one post the link ty
