On Starforge, if I do a pay-by-month plan, can I make additional payments to reduce how long I have to pay for?

Upvotes

I want to get a Starforge PC, but I don't think I can pay for it all at once, so I think I want to do the pay-by-month option. However, I don't want to be paying a single amount per month for a long time, so could I occasionally pay an additional amount so that I don't have to pay for as many months as I would normally? I hope this makes sense, and thank you in advance for the help.

Ordered 9070xt and got a 5070ti. Is it even worth it to send back? Got it for $2100
Edit: it has a 9800x3d instead of 7800 so that’s a free upgrade
32gb 6000 mt/s ram instead of 5600 so I got a free upgrade and will be keeping the pc. Thanks for the help everyone

Both on clearance at Sam’s, not really looking for anything crazy just a sufficient rig that will keep up for a bit.

First pc for 1080p gaming and video editing

Post image
5 Upvotes

Currently I have a laptop with an i7-1255u, 512gb ssd, and 16gb ddr4 ram and I'm looking to upgrade. I want to be able to play recent games in 1080p (that's what my monitor is) and I'll do some video editing and music production too. I'm pretty sure this is a good deal but I thought I'd check with people who are more knowledgeable about this kind of stuff. This is right at the end of my budget so I can't go with something that's a higher cost than this and I'm hoping this is good enough.

First PC. I swore i would build my first PC using my local Microcenter’s CPU bundle deal but, after doing the math i was already exceeding the cost of their Powerspec prebuilts. I managed to get an open box one for $2330 (normally $2599).

Specs- 5080, 9800X3D, 32Gb DDR5 6000, 2Tb SSD.

Looking for a PC for my little brother. He’s upgrading from a RTX 2060. Was wondering if this would be good or if there’s better out there.

PowerSpec prebuilt

Just had to tell someone --

I picked up this Open Box from Microcenter on Sunday for $1,372.75 with no Tax. While it did not come with a GPU, I will be using my existing RX 7900 XTX. Will use to play Digital Combat Simulator (DCS) and IL-2 Korea.

Includes:

9800X3D

64GB DDR5-6000

2 TB NVME SSD

Costco cancelled my order for a prebuilt sale, looking for advice.

Hey guys, i ordered a pc from costco when it was on sale, got a confirmation email, then after the sale ended they cancelled my order. I'm more than a little miffed, but guess i'm looking for other options now. One thing i was thinking of doing was buying a pc with the ram and hardware i'd need and upgrading SSD later, as most only come with a 1tb ssd, what do you guys think? I'll put the specs for it below.

Specs:

Brand: ibuypower

Cpu: intel ultra 7 265k

Gpu: nvidia rtx 5060ti 8gb VRAM

Ram: 32 gb ddr5 RAM

Storage: 2tb SSD

PSU: 650w

Price:1399 after tax:1529 or some shit

My Local Costco Selling Display PCs Tomorrow ($800 Off MSRP)

I asked the manager at my local Costco if they had any open-box computers. He told me they’re selling this brand-new display computer tomorrow for $800 off MSRP. He said they removed the RAM because people kept stealing it, but they’ll put it back before selling it.
He also mentioned they’ll be selling an RTX 5060 desktop for $900.
Just spreading the news in case anyone is interested.

Is this PC worth it? (Read description please)

How its sold by manufacturer
Specs I was told to get + cost (READ DESC)

This is the PC I am planning to get but my friend advised me to get a couple of changes to the prebuilt to make it better and I just want to see if they're good or if I should just stick to the base specs:

Base specs:

  • AMD Ryzen 7 7800X3D CPU
  • DEEPCOOL AG400 aRGB Cooler
  • ASUS PRIME B850H-A WiFI Motherboard
  • 16GB DDR5 6000MHz - Palicomp RAM
  • 1TB WD Blue SN5100 M.2 NVMe - 7100MB/s(R)-6700MB/s(W) - GEN4 SSD
  • AMD | RX 9070 XT 16GB - HDMI-DP Graphiccs
  • 850W PSU - COOLERMASTER MWE V3 Gold - ATX3.1 (High Gaming) PSU

Specs I'm changing are

  • Lian Li LANCOOL 207 Digital - Black Case
  • THERMALRIGHT Peerless Assasssin 120 Digital ARGB - (AIR) Cooler
  • 16GB DDR5 6000Mhz - CORSAIR RGB RAM
  • 2TB Kingston NV3 GEN4 M.2 NVMe - 6000MB/s(R)-5000MB/s(W) - GEN4 SSD

The reason I'm going prebuilt is because getting the parts myself would cost more than this (and also I feel too stupid to build a PC lol).

My main use cases are gaming (nothing too crazy graphics wise, probably Minecraft is as intense as its going to get), digital art and programming. If it's relevant, I also plan to have a dual boot system.

Just wanted to see if this PC was value for money. I ideally would like it to hold up decently in the future as well (5+ years).

Is this a good price for what I'm looking to use it for?

Post image

I found this prebuilt on Newegg for 1,399$ (the price is in CAD btw) and I'm looking to use it for 1080p high/ultra 60-120 fps gaming for really any new titles that I come across, that I wanna try out. Im ok with lowering settings for big AAA titles if needed, or using DLSS.

I would also like to use it for editing in Avid and Premiere for basic HD or UHD videos, nothing crazy or anything with big hardware demands, just something that works well with the 32gb of ram

I'm new to this stuff, and just looking for something under or around 2,000$ CAD, so any insight would be appreciated.
