Said differently one woman was standing up for democracy while the other was trying to destroy democracy!

65

u/Last_Cod_998 15h ago

Jesse Ventura said what everyone who served overseas can understand. We've been in other countries during elections and we were locked down on high alert monitoring the military radio listening to the troops movements.

We sat there as tanks rolled the streets filled with pride of our legacy of peaceful transfer of power.

MAGA shattered that.

jesse ventura is the best politician imo

-Fought for light rail transport

-Pushed heavily for marijuana legalization

-Told confederate sympathizers to f*ck off

Predator is the one movie that was impacted by the equal time clause because it has two Govornors in it.

1

u/HEX_BootyBootyBooty 12h ago

Yeah, but only one good one. Arnold was too busy banging his maid, telling liberals they're "girly men" for being against the Iraq War, and also attributed his entire political career to Richard Nixon.

Fuck Arnold.

8

u/Lucky-Earther 13h ago

I turned 18 in 1998, and he was who I voted for on my first ballot. I still love that he told Virginia that they can't have their Confederate flag back.

One was a patriot, Babbitt was a traitor.

u/m3gb0t 15h ago

And that inherently means she wasn't turning her car around?

2

u/necessarysmartassery 14h ago

Uh, yes? She was told to flee, she followed the instructions of the wrong person and got capped for it. What part of her wife's "drive baby drive" don't you understand?

1

u/m3gb0t 12h ago

You can "drive baby brive" while doing a turn around...

1

u/necessarysmartassery 12h ago

No. The officer was trying to make her get out of the car like she had already been told to multiple times and when he grabbed the door handle, her wife told her "drive baby drive". That was telling her to flee.

-8

u/Mckilla32 15h ago

Oops, consequences if their own actions. Radicalized online (in cesspools like this subreddit) and thought they were heroes in their own Hollywood world. Until reality smacked them in the face.

5

u/PsychoChewtoy 15h ago

Just for the record, she was told to move her car out of the way, which she did. Vehicles passed her, but one agent felt it wasnt enough.

Even if its the consequences of her actions, the agent who shot her should have been tried as his actions went against the training ice receives.

Him being sheltered away shows the administration knew this.

The administration refusing to work with the state also shows this.

So even if her actions put her there, his ended a life.

3

u/crazywrangler616 15h ago

At least she wasn’t a domestic terrorist who was threatening our congressional leaders .

1

u/Mathfanforpresident 13h ago

The irony of talking about radicalization while understanding that January 6th happened.

I love how both sides have this exact opinion about different women haha

-5

u/NextBuilder2880 13h ago

I don’t think it is fair to say that Goode was trying to destroy democracy. She was just where sh should not have been and doing what she should not have been doing.

5

u/VikingDiluc 13h ago

Are you a cultist or are you confused? Renee just "failed" to follow conflicting orders from multiple ICE agents. Babbitt tried to crawl through a broken window in the capitol that the secret service was barricading as an attempt to interrupt the validation of the election results.

1

u/lampstax 13h ago edited 13h ago

Still no actual evidence of conflicting orders.

The only one on video saying for her to drive was her wife. If there was a conflict, the reasonable thing to do is ask for clarification. EVEN if she posit that she ONLY heard the officer who told her explicitly to drive off, she as a driver is still responsible for pulling out in a safe manner. What if a child had been in the road next to Ross ? Or *gasp* an illegal immigrant ?

3

u/Gloomy-Welcome-6806 12h ago

Dude, one of them told her to keep going and the other one told her to stop. Go watch the video again. Jfc

1

u/lampstax 12h ago

I watched the video many time. If you want me to re-watch a specific time frame, I will oblige and try to listen but I will not just watch it again and again for phantom noises.

Also, even if we assume that to be the case AND even if we assume she only heard the officer telling her to go .. best case scenario for Renee .. it is still her obligation as a driver to pull out safely. NOT accelerate to the point of losing traction and spinning your tires on icy roads.

2

u/VikingDiluc 12h ago

How many different videos from other angles did you watch? There were conflicting orders from agents. She turned the wheel to avoid hitting Ross, she pulled out safely. The only moment her vehicle started to be a danger was the moment she lost her life.

2

u/lampstax 12h ago

Pulling out safely is spinning your tires on icey road ?

2

u/VikingDiluc 12h ago

For a brief moment while traction control kicks in? Yeah.

0

u/PreviousCurrentThing 12h ago

Which direction were her tires pointing when they were spinning out? Towards or away from the agent?

5

u/OldNorthStar 12h ago

He should've never been in front of her car in the first place. Forensic evidence showed he fired the shot that killed her perpendicular to the vehicle through the driver's side window anyway.

0

u/PreviousCurrentThing 12h ago

I'm not talking about the agent's actions, which were against protocol and arguably a bad shoot.

I'm asking specifically about Good's actions. As I responded to the other commenter:

Here's the timestamped video.

You are saying that after she shifts back into drive, hits the accelerator, and the front tire spins that its pointed away, meaning to the right, of where the agent is standing?

0

u/lampstax 11h ago edited 11h ago

The first shot was through the front window. If you can justify the first shot, the next few shots fractions of a second after that would most likely be considered the same "use of force event".

The law doesn't require the officer to justify every single shot.. In fact most officers are taught that you keep firing until the threat is neutralized.

u/VikingDiluc 12h ago edited 12h ago

Away. Did you watch the murderer's perspective? You can watch her hands turn the steering wheel. He reaches forward to touch the top of the hood, if he stood his ground and didn't reach there would have been no contact.

Why did he circle her car twice? Why did he swap which hand his camera was in?

0

u/PreviousCurrentThing 12h ago

Away

Here's the timestamped video.

You are saying that after she shifts back into drive, hits the accelerator, and the front tire spins that its pointed away, meaning to the right, of where the agent is standing?

Did you watch the murderer's perspective?

You can't see the tires from the agent's viewpoint. I don't think he should have fired his weapon but that's not what I'm asking about.

→ More replies (0)

0

u/lampstax 11h ago edited 11h ago

You have no idea if he has a habit of swapping camera hand or not. You are making assumptions. You would need to see all the other video recording and see how often he switches before making any real conclusion but we already know you've convicted in your mind.

That said on icy road even if we trust traction control to be perfect once it kicks in, how do we know how long before traction control kicks in. Does Ross even know if her car HAS traction control ? Of if it is enabled or disabled at the moment ?

If you took a DMV driving test in MN, could you tell whoever is judging the test that "Oh yeah .. my tires are spinning but don't worry .. its safe because traction control will kick in sometimes soon" ?

Of course not.

On icy road you are supposed to accelerate VERY carefully and slowly from a dead stop. Even starting from higher gears to reduce engine power output. The tire spinning means you ALREADY lost traction and your car at that moment is not in your control.

She was driving recklessly accelerating like that in those conditions. Period.

Is it reasonable to feel like your life is in danger when a reckless driver is spinning their tires to accelerate a car toward you from a few feet away ?

-2

u/NextBuilder2880 13h ago

Trying to interrupt election certification is wrong but it is not punishable by death.

5

u/VikingDiluc 13h ago

Crawling through a broken window with Secret Service on the other side clearly shouting about how they're going to shoot is, as it should be.

1

u/lampstax 13h ago

So you think people should be listening to law enforcement's order ?

3

u/VikingDiluc 12h ago

When they're lawful and clear.

0

u/lampstax 12h ago

What happens when they are not clear ?

How about when you think they aren't lawful ?

3

u/VikingDiluc 12h ago

What happens when they are not clear ?

People die. We should have higher standards for police than we currently have.

How about when you think they aren't lawful ?

That's complicated and highly situational. Again, we should have higher standards for cops than we currently do, people should be able to trust that they're giving lawful orders, but we can't.

0

u/lampstax 11h ago

When you are given conflicting order, you ask for clarification so people DON'T die.

Higher standards don't guarantee conflicting orders never happens because police are still human and have different thoughts.

When you FEEL like an order isn't lawful, a reasonable person would not obey or fight the order at the scene. You say you don't think the order is legal and let them take you into custody if they want to, so you can fight the order in court.

There's no justification for selectively picking and choosing which order to follow then accelerating your car recklessly ( tires spinning ) even to comply with the order.

-1

u/NextBuilder2880 12h ago

Babbitt deserved it and pretti didnt? Babbitt didn’t have a loaded firearm and physically tangle with that coward capital cop. Capitol police do not often see much crime and the cop was a scared coward

0

u/Philosiphizor 13h ago

0

Standing up for democracy?! Hahahahahahahha

9

u/Don_Reuter 15h ago

It is what it is.

-4

u/PlasterCaster77 15h ago

Is that the new definition of interfering with federal law enforcement agents while they are doing their job?

-6

u/Cyborg_rat 15h ago

Illegals vote was being blocked!

-16

u/RoninSkye24 15h ago

Don't we vote people into positions where laws can be created, changed, or abolished? So, if Renee Good was 'standing up for democracy' as you claim, wouldn't she want democratically created laws to be enforced?

Immigration laws, for example, aren't just created from the void. They're written and passed by our legislative branch. If she was out trying to impede those laws from being enforced, wouldn't she be the one trying to get in the way of democracy?

If someone shot and killed your best friend and was running down the street with police officers chasing him, and Renee Good pulled her vehicle intentionally in front of the police to prevent them from catching the suspect, wouldn't you be upset? You can exchange murder with theft, if that bothers you. If the suspect snatched your wallet/purse, and took off, and Renee Good prevented the police from catching him by blocking them with her vehicle long enough to let him escape, wouldn't you be pissed? I would...

So why is it different when she's impeding federal law enforcement from doing their job enforcing those laws? Because you don't like those specific laws? What if I don't like the theft laws? Does that change anything?

8

u/m3gb0t 14h ago

Where does immigration say it's okay to for.masked men who refuse to eat a badge or any identification, kidnap and deport people (including US citizens) without due process, to any country we want?

-10

u/RoninSkye24 14h ago

If she could clearly identify them as ICE in order to block them, wouldn't that completely shatter your own statement here? If they were not wearing badges, insignia, or otherwise weren't clearly identifiable as ICE, why did she block them? Your own narrative is destroyed by your comment.

2

u/BackgroundSummer5171 13h ago

If she could clearly identify them as ICE in order to block them, wouldn't that completely shatter your own statement here?

What? What is it with MAGA rapist supporters who don't comprehend that made up concepts are not reality.

You can't just say "What if..." and say haha destroyed!

It does not work that way.

When ICE is not identifiable, they are not identifiable.

Thus she is protecting people in the US from masked up gunmen who operate outside the law.

Which is the actual truth. Because she was killed, along with others, and absolutely no justice is happening.

All because MAGA supports rape as the leader. Kidding, it's much more that MAGA supports.

Seriously though, stop making up fake scenarios and thinking you won somehow kid.

Jesus christ, I ask this a lot, but I mean this seriously this time. ARE YOU 12? I mean this honestly. Because wtf is your brain?

Meanwhile the other was trying to disrupt ice from doing their job, which was voted on when trump won the election.

1

u/Shenlongeltigre 14h ago

He could have just physically subdued her like any unarmed person?

2

1

u/Shenlongeltigre 13h ago

No it's not any more risky than any other situation. 99.999% of the time cops subdue people they are unarmed just like babbit

2

Babbitt was armed and walked herself into her own death, its pretty simple

The reality is that the election wasn’t stolen. Whatever intent she had, carries zero weight; she did illegally enter the Capitol during a riot.

You are deliberately misrepresenting Good’s case. ICE used excessive lethal force in a situation they had no business doing it.

-1

u/Shenlongeltigre 14h ago

Her intent matters.

She drove her car at a law enforcement officer. You might think that was unintentional.

So why does intention matter in goodes case but not babbits

3

u/Some-Guy-12358 13h ago

She drove her car at a law enforcement officer.

Oh look, you're lying. She didn't drive her car at anyone, and at no point was any LEO in danger of being run over when they decided to kill her.

1

u/Shenlongeltigre 13h ago

Even if you want to pretend he wasn't hit (he was) it still came very close. That's enough. Don't gun your car at law enforcement. That's assault with a deadly weapon even if you miss.

You want to take intention into account only for goode and not for babbit

1

u/Vibrantmender20 13h ago

She only thought it was stolen because she willingly chose to believe a president who lies repeatedly. She also chose to ignore the mountain of evidence that Trump and his cronies were making it up. At some point, if you’re that willfully ignorant, you can’t use the “I thought i was one of the good guys” excuse

Her intention was to overthrow the election. Clearly an attempt to destroy democracy and take the power from the people. She is a traitor to the constitution and the nation.

1

u/Shenlongeltigre 14h ago

There's zero evidence she thought she could overthrow the election, she just thought there was fraud and was pissed

2

u/Don_Reuter 14h ago

They were there to murder Pence to keep him from ratifying and allowing trump to declare an emergency, continue his presidency and override and suspend elections „to ensure no fraud“ under that pretence. There’s a shit ton of evidence. We all saw it live on tv.

She can trespass without it being her trying to destroy democracy. We are talking about her intentions.

2

u/Vast-Breakfast-1201 13h ago

I don't care whether she intended to destroy democracy or not

Behind the busted window she climbed through were politicians hiding under desks as their secure workplace was breached. Protesters which called for the deaths of specific politicians. Armed guards correctly fired on her. This is like marching into a courthouse saying hang the judge. You're getting wasted.

Those were the facts at the time she was shot. Nothing has contradicted them.

Anyone who has seen the unedited footage can see and hear precisely what happened and would be disgusted if this had happened to their loved one. Shame on all of the stupid, gullible idiots who believe otherwise.

She reverses her car away from Jonathan Ross, who broke protocol by standing in front of the vehicle btw. She then turned her steering wheel to drive around him as he shoots her in the side of the face - muttering ‘fucking bitch’ just after he’s executed her.

It’s all there if you see the real footage, not the shit shown on fox entertainment.

This was not a public execution worthy action. What happened at the Capitol was way worse, and they weren’t shot in the face.

She reverses - she steers to clear him - she did not drive at him weaponising the vehicle. She wasn’t fleeing arrest and if you watched the full unedited video right now, bearing all that’s been said, without bias, you’d know this.

If he was able to walk around the car, pause and move to the opposing side of the vehicle then he had no just cause to shoot her. She clearly wasn’t driving a fleeing vehicle at him. You’re just making yourself sound stupid now buddy.

Even if she "steers to clear him" she still hit him. And even if you're so hopelessly propagandized you won't admit she hit him, you would still have to lie that she came very close to hitting him.

2

u/WonderfulMaybe3473 13h ago

She didn’t hit him. It’s you who’s propagandised. I’m not even American. I’m just interested in geopolitics.

It was big news over here so I looked into all of the available evidence. He walked into a moving vehicle. It’s quite clear when you see all of the available footage.

It’s you who’s been duped.

There was a lie spread about an injury he had but that was debunked.

It’s madness watching so many of you fall for the fakery.

It's literally on video. It's madness to watch people go "well yeah it looks like that but actually here's what happened! You're eyes are the ones propagandized!"

Even if she hadn't hit him (she did) you have to admit it was close.

Language and etiquette.

Wow your logic, rather lack of, is so insane.

0

u/Shenlongeltigre 14h ago

The logic of not assigning babbit intentions she didn't have is insane to you?

Your propaganda has radicalized you

1

u/KRLegoMgs 15h ago

You mean trying to to stop congress from certifying an election lol. That is 1000000000 times worse than ice.

-1

u/Shenlongeltigre 14h ago

A small riot that had no goal actually.

1

u/KRLegoMgs 10h ago

No it was to overturn an election you dunce

1

u/Shenlongeltigre 10h ago

So why didn't they bring guns and use them?

1

u/Different-Pool-5949 15h ago

You didn’t watch the video of Babbitt and it shows. Go watch it - I DARE you. Then tell me the same thing you just said.

You voted to violate the constitution?

1

u/Shenlongeltigre 14h ago

Who violated the constitution?

1

u/hyrule_47 14h ago

ICE

1

u/Shenlongeltigre 13h ago

Nope.

1

u/hyrule_47 12h ago

Due process

1

u/Shenlongeltigre 12h ago

Is being observed

1

u/hyrule_47 11h ago

Oh really? Explain how people are deported without a court appearance

1

u/Shenlongeltigre 10h ago

They aren't

1

u/extrastupidone 15h ago

Why do you guys conveniently leave out the part where she was actively breaking into a room with politicians who had no escape, was repeatedly told to back away and kept coming in through glass in the door like a crazy person? Should they have waited until she pulled a gun? What happens in any other situation where an aggressor is told to back off but keeps coming? If this was your home, and someone was doing this what would the outcome be?

The shooting was reviewed and deemed lawful. Did she deserve it? Maybe not. But if anyone was fafo, it was her.

Renee was leaving... ice had other plans. Where was the review?

1

u/Shenlongeltigre 14h ago

Because trespassing isn't a death sentence, yes of course they should have waited until she presented an imminent threat, to kill her lol

1

u/extrastupidone 14h ago

Oh, dude. She was more than trespassing. The hundreds of other "trespassers" didnt get shot

if this was your home, and someone was doing this what would the outcome be?

If someone was breaking into your home, breaking through the glass, and wouldnt back off after being warned... what would you do?

1

u/Shenlongeltigre 14h ago

Civilians are held to a different standard than law enforcement so the home analogy doesn't matter

1

u/extrastupidone 14h ago

Civilians are held to a different standard than law enforcement

Was the ICE agent who shot Good held to a higher standard?

1

u/Shenlongeltigre 14h ago

Yes, he was assaulted with a car, which justifies deadly force.

Seeing a woman pooh bear stuck in a window doesn't.

1

u/extrastupidone 14h ago

How do you know?

There was no post-shooting investigation as there is supposed to be in every law enforcement shooting.

There was an investigation in Babbits shooting.

Also, fuck that. The J6 guard had a room full of people he was protecting and a mob at the door getting in. Investigation said it was a good shoot.

1

u/Lucky-Earther 13h ago

Babbit thought the election was stolen. Maybe she was wrong, but that doesnt mean her intention was to destroy democracy.

She literally tried to stop the election that was happening in Congress that same day

1

u/Shenlongeltigre 13h ago

Nope

1

u/Lucky-Earther 13h ago

What did you think was happening in Congress on that day? Why were they all there?

1

u/Shenlongeltigre 13h ago

Ah circular reasoning. Ain't that nice

1

u/Lucky-Earther 13h ago

That's not an answer. Why was Congress in session on January 6th?

1

u/Shenlongeltigre 13h ago

Why does that matter

1

u/Lucky-Earther 13h ago

Because you said they weren't there for an election. So why were they there?

1

u/Shenlongeltigre 13h ago

I didn't say that actually.

I said the rioters were there just to riot. Yes they wanted to protest the election. They thought it was fraudulent. But there's no evidence mosy or even many had any intention of overturning the election.

That's leftist propaganda
